Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

(I don't have much for Tsuki to do. She's got pretty much no idea about anything involving demons and is in a pretty introspective mood right now. Just want to say this so people don't end up waiting for me. Feel free to ignore Tsuki if you wish. She'll still respond if talked to though... again, I just don't want to hold people back or anything thinking that they should wait for me.)

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

Sable could still feel the uncertainty Elea had towards her, and remembered their discussions on slavery, and some of the emotional states they shared through Matthias. She couldn't help but smile, almost proudly, at what a good slave Elea would make for her master. Strong willed, perhaps, a bit more outspoken, but mostly through misunderstanding... In a society where slaves outnumbered masters, her self-sufficient attitude was far more normal than someone from the outside would believe. Not that Sable wasn't abnormal due to other circumstances, leaving her home to hunt down her master was not something a normal slave would ever consider doing...

Elea's attempt at a proud stance despite her obvious embarrassment had Sable wishing she could just pounce the girl on the spot and lick her all over (feline trait, not sexual, for once!). Though D'Von's firm pinch of her ass had her giggling softly again as she reached over and stroked his head, practically rubbing his face against her soft furry breasts.

Sable nodded to the group gathered and Elea's words, "Our need for rest is why we have taken D'Von's suggestion to lay guard at this building. We sha-..." The catgirl felt herself cut short at Ashley's words.

Trying to regain her composure, Sable gave a gentle, concentrated cough. "Newcomer... I do not know how powerful you are, but whatever prison awaits us on the other side is not one we can handle in our current state... And I doubt you can deal with it alone either... My servants and myself drew the direct attention of the dark one behind the invasions, and exhausted much of our power both in battle rescuing these women, and in helping stave off the battle until Matthias' arrival so he could use that power to track his prey down..."

Sable found herself looking to the demon again. "D'Von, sweetie... Do you know of anyone capable of opening portals between our worlds? My familiarity with your world is very limited, so I would not know where to begin, but it seems as if one of our guests has need to go there even should the current portal collapse. Her cause seems impassioned, though her timing may be... Off."

(OOC Asides: First of all, wether D'Von knows of a way to access portals or not, I think we should save that for backstory of in-between DG1 and DG2, rather than going into it during this session (since it would prolong the game that we're trying to end). Secondly, though Sable is distracted with assisting others (and worried for her own master), she also was trying to encourage everyone inside, so the instant everyone gets moving, unless something important occurs outside, assume she heads in while idle-discussing.)

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

(Asmodean's taking too long. And acknowledged maikochan.)

D'Vons immediate response to Sables question was; "No, my mistress. The Queen opened the gate, but I do not know how she did it. I think it might be best if we continue this within, my mistress. As you and Elea have said, we must rest if we wish to do anything about those my brethren may have trapped beyond the gate."

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

Ashley considered her next move. The others had a valid point, that they should probably wait until the morning for any assault. No sense starting out exhausted. They might lose their distraction... but then, the demons might not be so focused on events their side of the portal. Considering that it would also reduce the risk of being caught outside when night fell, and that it gave time to talk strategy, it seemed that waiting was the thing to do.

Now all she had to do was solve the problem of the Fey. It didn't seem likely that such a racially diverse group would have a terrible problem with them, but who could really say with elves. And then of course the Fey probably wouldn't like working with a demon. Of course, she wouldn't know unless she asked.

"On reflection, I agree that waiting until the morning is probably for the best - I wasn't quite aware of how late it was. I have already gathered a small number of allies from the fey gathered to fight the demons. I'll have to summon them if we're to stay here."

Ashley began the a spell that would project her voice to where she suspected that the fey were waiting, and prepared to whisper a brief all-clear, including a subtle mention that the demon wasn't actively hostile, if nobody objected.

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

When no one moves to stop Ashley, she casts her spell, signaling to her hidden allies to come forward. A group of Fey emerge into the street and join them in front of the mansion. The group consists of a gruff wielding a large hammer, who is apparently the leader, three rather shapely women wearing tattered green robes, and a troll that stood head and shoulders over the rest. When they got near, the gruff inclined his head toward Ashley and said; "All is well then is it, Ashley?"

Then, he turned and said; "Well, I don't know who any of you are, or what you're doing in this accursed place, except for you of course;" He indicates D'Von who is still standing next to Sable; "But we will take any allies we can get. Might we continue this discussion within?"

The group swiftly agrees (progress!!!) and enters the mansion. The plant girls were standing around the stairs in front of the entrance, along with two of the prisoners who were standing a bit more firmly than the rest, one rather burly man and a fairly thin woman with long blond hair. The other people Sable and Elea had managed to rescue were all laying around off to the side, looking like they were ready to pass out. The plant girls all eagerly greet their "mother," swarming around her and wrapping her in a hug. D'Von stands to the right of the doorway, waiting, while the Fey all move to stand near the stairs with the two people that had volunteered to help them defend the mansion.

(Do stuff. Decide stuff. I made a few assumptions in this post for the purpose of expediency.)

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

When everyone is finally settled, Ashley takes the table to lay out the situation as she sees it.

"Okay, I'll start by giving a quick overview of my first trip to hell. I found information that the demons were using a particular house as a staging point in the city, and decided to raid it in an effort to hurt the demon cause and also retrieve a few samples for study. I found the house easily enough, but when I entered I found it full of dead demons. Matthias was just finishing them off when I arrived.

After confirming with him that the demons were all dead, I decided to poke around and see what I could find. In a room that had apparently housed a few of the higher-ups I found a magically constructed false wall, and behind that was a small portal. Obviously this was somewhat alarming, but I wanted to be sure exactly what was going on before I did anything drastic. So I stepped through it, and found myself in hell.

On the bright side, I discovered that this was a one-way portal. On the not-so-bright side I was alone in a rude hut in hell. Not being completely insane, I made myself invisible and before long managed to follow some locals to a large building. I listened in on them for a moment, and found that the building was a prison. Unfortunately by this point I was feeling the strain of remaining invisible and was in no state to carry out a solo assault.

Fortunately, I was now within site of the main portal, and I managed to defeat the beasts that guarded it and lose my pursuers back in Artmirst, but it was a near thing. There were also a lot of hellhounds between the jail and the portal, and they noticed me even through invisibility.

I am here today because I want to go back to hell and free the inmates of that prison. I can't say for sure who is inside it, but I figure that if the demons want them in, I want them out. It might be mortals not yet corrupted, or it might be demon dissidents. Either way, I'd want them out of there and free to pay back their captors.

So if this thing is to be done, there are four main problems. We would need to get to the prison, in hell. It's about a five minute walk from the back-door portal. We would need to free the prisoners. And we would need reach the main portal. That'll be a bit tricky as it's a fifteen minute walk, shorter if everyone can run at that point which doesn't seem likely. Finally, we have to pass through the portal and lose any pursuit.

It seems obvious that step two will be accomplished through direct force, and I have some thought that step four would be similar to my previous experience - that is to say, once we get through I'll throw up a fog around the portal to hide our pursuit, then we run like hell. Steps one and three seem more problematic, unless we can manage to get everyone invisible while sparing enough effort to win out at the prison.

Any thoughts or comments at this point?"

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

With their group growing larger by the moment, Elea is thankful when they finally reach a consensus and move inside. Still carrying her armor in a sack slung over her shoulder, she shuffles uncomfortable as she feels more eyes looking over her nude form as they all filter into the mansion. With the plant girls swarming over Sable, and a multitude of new faces pressing into the area, Elea moves to stand next to the only person she had some knowledge of that wasn't moving around, D'von. She puts her pack down on the ground, then looks up at him before shyly covering her breasts with her arms, though she attempts to mask the action as though she is becoming impatient with the situation. Just before she has a chance to speak, one of the newcomers takes the initiative and begins relating what's happened to her since coming to the doomed city.

That the woman was so willing to give a detailed description was surprising to Elea, but what she revealed was even more so. A back door into the demons' lands? Such an advantage could make such an outing something more than a suicide mission. Sable especially would be interested in this development. But there were other concerns the elf had.

"That's quite an lucky find you came across. However, we know that Matthias was the source of the great fire at the portal not long ago. He must have made his way through to fight the demons' master on the other side. Matthias himself is powerful to destroy the portal, he has in the past. With two such beings engaged in battle, the portal may be in danger of being destroyed by accident." Elea waited a moment, then added, "If the back-door portal is only one way, we may be stuck in the other realm with no way to return."

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

"A valid concern. On the other hand, if he hasn't destroyed it by the time we are ready to start in the morning... well, then it can hold out a few minutes. And if he knows we're there trying to escape..."

Ashley pauses for a moment, biting her lip.

"And on that note, I do have some idea on how we might make the considerable journey from the jail to the exit, and perhaps even from our entrance to the jail. I could raise us a windstorm. It wouldn't be easy, but with a few minutes and concentration I could manage to start it, and maintaining it would be easy. And in hell, it would quickly become a sandstorm.

This would three purposes. Firstly, it would reveal our presence to Matthias in a definite way. It would also reveal us to anyone or anything else within a few dozen miles, but I doubt we'll finish our operation without someone noticing in any case. Which brings us to the next purpose: a powerful sandstorm, especially in a place with so little weather as that wasteland, would be deadly. A reasonably powerful mage could make us a bubble of safety if not comfort, but anyone else trying to reach us would be out of luck. The final purpose would be to give us time to get away - it could easily take ten, fifteen minutes to get from the jail to the portal, and a little extra time to get away from the portal on our side wouldn't hurt either.

That leave us with two problems, unless someone can come up with a better way to cloak our escape. Firstly the shorter journey from the back door to the jail. It would be ideal to do this without alerting the demons to our presence, which a sandstorm would not accomplish. Secondly, I would prefer if someone else maintained our shield while we walked through the storm, to leave my concentration free to hold the storm against any attempt to disrupt it."

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

Sable gave her children a loving hug, snuggling into each of them in turn and being motherly with the group, still a bit of a strange feeling to the woman, but part of it felt very natural as she gave each of them a lick on the cheek while listening to the plan.

"Matthias isn't going to seal all of the portals. Most of the backdoors are still going to be around... he's shown he has immense power and can launch it to destroy large waves of any enemy... however... he also demonstrated that he has to focus his power, and has been forced to hold back over and over, to avoid making his target retreat and hide again. But even then, when we were freeing this group, Matthias took quite a while to single out enemies... Even had us draw off the majority of the group so that he would not need to spread his attention so wide. He may destroy the primary portal, but the side ones are likely all going to remain, I don't foresee him taking the time to track them all down and seal them, not while he's focused on his own fight." Sable spoke calmly while the idea was being discussed.

Sable gave pause and looked around the group again. "That means there will be other ways to escape, if we could find them... but it would be unreliable at best, and we should ensure the main portal is open before we risk using any backdoor."

Frowning, she shook her head, "This attack won't end well. Even if we got in undetected, the act of freeing all of those prisoners will take far longer than we can afford, and ..."

She delayed for a moment as she glanced to D'Von, before grinning widely. "There are ways to deal with demons though... if we can gather them in the right manner. Just like Matthias' power has limits, so too does this demon army have limits... A simple windstorm may guard against the weaker ones, but the hellhounds you spoke of, and worse... the black armored knights... Will not be curbed by a dull breeze." Sable raised her hand and extended her claws, drawing her palm closed in a crushing manner, letting a small jolt of static magic erupt from her palm in a rather showy manner, "But there are other ways to deal with them..." she murmurred quietly. "As D'Von there will tell you..."

Her momentary flaunting of power left behind, she couldn't help but continue to smile, purring loudly to herself, "we... Should take them head on... A direct assault on the portal."

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

"A simple windstorm, however powerful, would not stop the more powerful demons, this is true. But on the other side of the portal is a sandy desert, and as a result it would be a sandstorm I raised. Even brief exposure would be deadly, sight would be extremely limited, and scent would be unreliable. We would need considerable magic just to protect ourselves.

A direct assault... I have no doubt that it would work. For a time. But it is a fifteen minute walk from the jail to the main portal, and there is no cover or concealment. The demons would simply throw numbers at us until we were exhausted. It will come down to that for our assault on the prison itself, of course, but I would propose using my sandstorm before reinforcements arrive, to give us better odds on escaping before we are overwhelmed."

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

Sable was still purring wildly as she shook her head. "I know all about magical windstorms. The tougher of our foes would still break through it with the lightest of efforts... and I don't propose we go through the portal, but instead that we make them come through to meet us."

"Matthias has the right idea. Although, for different reasons... our task should not just be to rescue prisoners and futily struggle against a single prison break... just look around us at the group we have already rescued on this side of the portal... and who knows how many other prisons may exist on the other side... No. If we genuinely want to help prisoners, we need to do something bigger than just a prison break... something grand, something showy... Something that will get the attention of every demon watching and make them accept that they cannot stop us from freeing the prisoners of our choosing." Sable, naturally, had one person on her mind again.

"We should arm everyone who is willing and set ourselves as an army against the demons, demand they meet us and pose a direct threat to their attack. The last time we posed a threat, it caused a direct reaction from their dark god. Though with Matthias holding him up, as I'm sure the daemon is... it means it would be us against their next highest leader. If we show we can defeat their strongest, and that their god's power is no longer on their side... the entire invasion will come to a halt... and demanding prisoners released should be a simple task of walking in and ordering it." she turned to D'Von, smiling once more, "Demons respect power... So the only question now is who was your strongest leader, so I may defeat them?"

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

(Before people jump down each others throats, particularly mine, this is completely in character. He's a stalker, its in his nature to be sneaky. He's going to go with a sneaky plan over kicking in the door and challenging the whole demon army.)

D'Von looked extremely uncomfortable at Sables questions, the first easily recognizable most of them had seen appear on the demons face. When he responded, it was slowly, as though he were picking his words carefully; "There are..... Problems..... With your plan, my mistress. Firstly, we do not keep anything more than a few guards around the portal, to catch deserters or stray mortals that try to enter our realm. Most are either out here, or farther within our realm, waiting for the full invasion. We would find resistance, but nothing that would draw... The Queen. She is the most powerful of us. If you were to.... Slay her, the invasion would be broken, at least until another is chosen. It is possible that the Devourer might even choose you as her replacement, if it still exists after the Destroyers rampage.

"Secondly, the Queen would not come through the gate for any reason, no matter how many of our kin were killed. She cannot, or will not, leave our realm. Even if she would, it is unlikely that she would walk into a trap. More likely, we would all be killed from afar with magic. It is how this village was taken in the first place, at least."

D'Von paused, drawing in a breath, before the demon continued; "However... What this mortal says may hold a degree of wisdom. Perhaps a combination of the two plans might be best? I know of the Queens stronghold, and it lies close to where we keep our prisoners. If it still stands, the two places would be close together, and the Queen does not permit her prisoners to escape. If we tried to release them, she might come to deal with us personally. You would have the opportunity to slay her , and if you succeeded, every one of my kind would know of it. She would not risk destroying all of her captives while they still held value, so she would be limited in her magics, lest she destroy the entire area.

"Unfortunately, it would not do to be in a large group. If we were, she might consider the loss of her captives a worthy sacrifice to be rid of us, or perhaps use some greater magic to cripple all of us at once. It would be prudent not to seem to be a great threat, so that she will deal with us in person, is what I mean. Besides, the weaklings we rescued would be worthless against the Queens might, regardless of what weapons they were armed with."

Again taking a breath, D'Von said; "The choice is yours, my mistress. I will obey your command, and I have said what must be said."

(Anyone in the thread who would want to go to the final boss fight should provide some kind of input at this point.)

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

Tsuki had been only half paying attention to what the others were saying. She was still in a bit of a daze and coming to grips with her new body and increasingly more obviously influenced thoughts. But when the demon D'Von mentioned her being a weakling (as she interpreted it), she snapped back to attention. Walking over to the demon, Tsuki brandished her new claws in front of him.

"I can fight. My strength is back now, and now that I won't underestimate my foes, I am more than a match for any of your kind, demon." She turned to Sable, who seemed to be the leader of the group that had rescued her. "Allow me to come with you. I am best with a blade, but, I can fight with these." She clenched her claws again for emphasis.

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

Sable never ceased purring as D'Von spoke, merely grinning to herself and nodding. "So be it. Though you are slightly inaccurate as to the queen's power... She's being bolstered by the ... Devourer? Or, at least was in the past... Most likely the start of the invasion was her spells, amplified by your former diety. Without him at her side, she will be far weaker than you give her credit for... Not that I am so careless as to believe her completely helpless... but it may be a close fight."

Sable was trying to continue to show unquestioning confidence, despite knowing the queen was undoubtedly stronger than her.

"A full army would never do. My hope was to arm enough of us to merely harm your brethren enough to force their hand... but if your queen is too cowardly to come to us, then we will go to her as you suggest..." Sable hesitated for a moment. "Her stronghold will undoubtedly amplify her power and make her a difficult foe... if we cannot draw her from the portal, then the plan will be the prison... draw her there, and face her on... what is going to need to pass as... neutral grounds. She will still hold an advantage, but it will not be quite as severe as going to her home directly. We bring a small army through, the brunt of our forces, we leave at the portal, a sign that we intend to free all of her prisoners and escape. Then a small group approaches the prison... If she's smart, she'll come after us first to prevent too many freed prisoners from causing a fuss... but worst case, she'll try to block us off actually at the portal. Would be quite the image of the two of us doing battle before the glimmering vortex..."

Staring off into space for a moment, Sable continued to snuggle the heck out of all of her 'children', murmurring quietly as she nuzzled into the nearest one's neck, giving the girl's throat a soft lick, while her hand had idly found another one's breast, cupping it softly and squeezing a bit as she pulled the girl against herself in a casually lewd hug. "If only we knew where that damn merchant was... a few of his toys would probably go a long way... girls... I think I'm going to head back out once more tonight... nothing major, but you should keep the others here. I'll have a small escort only, stealth and speed over strength in numbers." the catgirl spoke, staring off at nothing in particular still, not meeting eye contact with anyone as she continued to build a plan in her mind.

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

Ashley seethed at the insult. Suddenly black storm clouds flashed into existence around her, boiling and lit by constant internal lightning. Just as suddenly, Ashley brought her temper under control, and the clouds calmed down and then disappeared.

The demon's information was important, if it was true. Attempting the jailbreak without knowing about the Queen would have been bad. Of course, it might not be true... but Ashley couldn't see a scenario where expecting a powerful demonic queen attacking would be worse then not expecting anyone. They would just have to keep their eyes open for attacks on other fronts, but they would have done that anyway.

"Sounds about right to me. We assemble a small strike team to go in the back way, and everyone else masses at the gates. We communicate to verify that the gate is still open, then enter the back way. We quickly assault the prison, and hopefully draw the Queen out of her fortress to attempt to recover the prisoners without killing them. We hit her hard and fast.

After that there are two possibilities:

If the demons back off, impressed at our killing the Queen, then we move with all haste to the portal, meeting with our allies outside in case any follow us.

If they instead appoint a new leader and come at us, I throw up a sandstorm to help cover our retreat. No matter how easily we can defeat any single demon, a siege will quickly exhaust us. Better to hold at the portal if we're to hold anywhere.

But in either case I don't see any real point in exposing ourselves to excessive risk to stop the invasion. If Matthias loses, the foe he is dueling will resume the invasion and I for one will not try to face anything that can beat him in open combat. If the daemon wins, he'll close the gate and the invasion will rapidly be over in any case."

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

Elea was silent as the others spoke, though her face and body language betrayed a number of emotions in response to everyone's actions and suggestions. She silently stepped closer to D'von, her hand on the hilt of her sword as the partially transformed Tsuki made her displeasure known and the strangely magical Ashley began conjuring fireworks with her mind. Even if he was a demon, Elea seemed determined to defend him as an ally of her friend Sable.

The catwoman, on the other hand, continued to bring about quick blushes and obvious attempts by the elf to look away at the increasingly lewd displays with her plant-like 'children.' Still, Sable's continuing bravado was alarming for Elea. Entering the other realm to look for her master was one thing, but seeking out the leader of the demonic forces was quite another. Best to let Matthias wreak whatever havoc he desired while they swept through as unnoticed as possible. And yet, Elea could not in good conscience do anything but support Sable. She had given her word, after all.

"Mistress," Elea calls, looking over at Sable while trying not to stare too much at the catwoman's hands and tongue dancing along the plant-girl's 'flesh.' "I am sworn to follow you on your quest," she continues, referring to finding Sable's master, "but I must ask that you look to your own safety, as well as that of the ones you wish to save. Attacking the demon's queen is an unnecessary risk." She is silent a moment, then adds, "Though it would be quite the heroic effort... If you seek the peddler, I may be able to track him down, even in this disgusting human city."

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

Sable turned to Elea, and began to regret that the mental link wasn't there...

"Elea... I know you'll follow me... and I was trying to hold some of my information back, admittedly... I guess I should simply reveal everything... The reason I seek to fight the queen is not for personal grandeur or gain. I noticed that Matthias used the trail of support from the devourer to track the beast down, and it expended quite a bit of power to support even the weakest of it's followers against us, once it realized they needed it... In truth, though you know why I want to go through the portal and what I fear... I think merely freeing prisoners is a waste of time if Matthias fails. The devourer will crush this world, and everyone in it will be enslaved."

Sable stopped toying with her girls for a moment to seriously look at the group, "Fighting the queen... even if we lose... does two major things for us... First, it takes away the devourer's greatest support. I have no doubt the queen feeds him extra energy, and breaking that flow of power will give Matthias an edge he sorely needs. But, it may also force the queen to draw power back away from the devourer... depending on how tightly they are linked together, we could even drain some of his energy... Although, if we did win, it would also stop the invasion, for now, wether Matthias is victorious or not... the demons would take time to recover and choose a new leader, breaking the stride of their attack..." the catgirl continued toying with her daughters again, not actively sexually, but playfully teasing and cuddling with no regard for being 'proper' in front of the others. "This attack from us isn't about just freeing a few prisoners, it's about trying to stop the entire war... just look at this town... what hope does the rest of our world stand if everything the demons touch can so easily be corrupted and turned into a weapon against us? Stopping the attack here and now is the only thing that will prevent everyone we've ever known from being enslaved and treated just like these girls were..." She motioned to the group they'd rescued.

"I swore to Matthias that I would help him any way that I could, despite my limited power... To me, my word is unquestionable. It is how I was raised... even if I must face the queen on my own, I know this is the only thing I can do to both help Matthias, and try to save ..." Sable trailed off, her head lowering, "Elea... you know what I mean... it's... it's foolish... but I need to try... I must do anything in my power to help..."

Having finished speaking, Sable half flopped over, her head gently pressing into the breasts of one of her plant girls that was surrounding her. "Elea, take who you need to find the merchant... I'm going to finish resting briefly, then collect some barter materials... we meet back here and rest til dawn. Any attempts to attack before then would be foolish... none of us are rested enough for it... but come dawn, we make our move." she motioned quickly to Ashley, "Your plan sounds like it has the best chance of working... so it's what we're using. Sneak in the back with our advance force... hit the prison... and let our main force clear the way out from the main gate... it's the best of both plans."

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

(It's been a week, so I'm going to post now. You know, if that's alright with all of you. Presumably Sable goes to get that armor like Kathy mentioned in a PM, and Elea goes to find the merchant.)

Regardless of the truth of any of their assumptions, the group now had a plan set up, and needed only to rest and prepare for it. Sable, her plant children still clustered around in a group hug, returns to the place where she and Elea had fought their battle earlier, retrieving the armor of the demon knights and carting it back to the mansion. At the same time, Elea set off to find the merchant, joined by D'Von, who curtly reminded her that she could probably put her armor back on if she wanted to. The merchant was easy enough to find, as he was in the third house that the pair checked, the cloaked man greeting them with; "Ahhhh, Strangers! What are ye buyin?" Upon explaining their needs to him, he agreed to return to the mansion with them.

Once all of them got back, and Sable presented him with the demonic armor, he said; "I'll buy it at a high price!" And, with a thousand in hard coin in her hands, Sable could arm whoever she liked however she liked. Her half dozen plant-children were unarmed, but Sable didn't know how good of a shot any of them would be, and the fact that their fingers had no bones in them, and were instead just tentacles, might make using a gun more difficult. The two people that had volunteered to aid them might benefit from weapons and armor, however, as might the dragon girl. (Pick basic weapons, I'm too lazy to go for the custom stuff.)

Whatever her decision, it came time to rise in the morning, and enact their plan. Strangely, Tsuki found her weapons and armor lying next to her in the morning, and all of their clothing and equipment seems to have been cleaned and repaired for them in the night.

(My next post is going to be the start of the encounter. Anyone still wanting to go on the suicide mission..... I mean final boss fight should give a post of some brevity.)

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

Ashley slept, and dreamed of the battle to come. There was a demon army waiting for them when they went through the portal. The queen brought the prison down around their heads without stirring from the castle. The queen fought them, but as soon as she was injured she fled and destroyed them from afar. They beat the queen, but were crushed under wave after wave of demonic reinforcements. They escaped the prison, but a newly appointed queen prevented Ashley's sandstorm from taking hold and didn't make it to the gate. They made it to the gate, only to find that Matthias had closed it while they fought the queen. They escaped, but Matthias lost and the world was consumed anyway.

She awoke early and didn't try to sleep again, instead staring out the window at the sky. So much could go wrong, but such was life when your plan started "enter hell through a one-way door". For that matter everything going according to plan included dueling a demonic queen and then walking through a sandstorm.

Ashley found herself gently touching the weather, urging it towards storm, and she forced herself to stop. A storm in the real world wouldn't really help, and she had the feeling that she wouldn't want to be wasting magic today. Instead, hearing others stirring, she went to find something to eat. Other then that, she was ready to go.

Re: Wrap-Up (Everybody!)

Feeling a bit ashamed of having openly questioned her friend in front of these newcomers, Elea only nods as Sable asks her to find the merchant. She places a hand on D'Von's arm as a signal to follow her, deciding that the demon's stealthiness and knowledge of the city would be more comforting than maintaining a sense of propriety by asking one of the other women. His reminder of her armor, conveniently spoken after they were away from the mansion, made the elf grit her teeth and once more bring her arms to her body to cover her nudity though.

Once the merchant was found and returned to the mansion, Elea added the items she had gathered from the defeated demons as well. After satisfied that the group would be armed as well as possible, she finds her armor and puts it back on, feeling both relieved at being covered but also uncomfortable after having gone without it for so long. Still it had been a long day, and once she found a relatively quiet corner, the elf slumped down against the wall and drifted to sleep, a deep and peaceful slumber that she had not experienced in some time.

Upon waking, Elea was rested and ready for battle. She took the time to polish her sword as well as perform maintenance on her bow and arrows, while shifting her armor to be as comfortable as possible for the harrowing journey to come.
