Ellisia didn't seem entirely "relaxed" by the idea either, but doesn't argue anything. She'd give anything to have a guide spirit or support agent from back home helping to coordinate this team, but that simply wasn't on the table. "Well be careful. Work together. Let Jonathan confirm the area ahead is clear before moving further, but don't stray too far from each other. If there's any trouble, focus on getting out of there first and fighting second."

Harrel raises a hand at the slight pause, getting Ellisia's attention, and speaks, "Isabella is human right? I think I've just picked her scent up. She's in the general vicinity of the crook. Though there's a considerable load of something else in the area. It's uh, I dunno, vague. But certainly not human or any other common living thing."

"Lets get to a safe proximity and decide our actual next move from there."

"Yeah, we'll play it safe," Emily replies in a tone that sounds as if she doesn't quite mean what she says. "Lets go." She says to Jonathan, pounding her fists together once before running further into the forest once Jonathan is ready to do the same.

"Oh man..." Jonathan sighed. Emily's reaction pretty much betrayed her intentions. Still, he followed her with a grim determination. He'd rather not see her putting herself deliberately in danger, so he had no choice but to go with her and keep an eye on her. However, Emily seemed to move faster than Jonathan, and he was aware of that. He had a way of fixing this, though.

"Oh bugger." Shaking his head, the young man quickly changed his form, going from human to dark liquid in a matter of seconds. It wasn't exactly pleasant at this time of the day, but it allowed him to move faster. All the time he spent on practicing slithering along the ground paid off, and now he was flowing like a stream. As soon as he managed to catch up, he shifted back into human form. "Woah, slow down! If they left any traps behind, it'll be easier to spot them when we're moving a little slower. Besides, I should go first."

At Jonathans words Emily stopped almost instantly, hopping several feet before finally coming to a halt. "Yeah, guess you're right there. But I'm so excited that I'll finally get to beat up on something soon. Haven't had that chance in a good couple of years. Not since Art came to this school."

Jonathan sighed. "I have a feeling that you'll get your chance to mangle someone soon enough. For now, we better refrain from beating people unless it looks safe enough." He briefly wondered how Emily's relationship with Art had to look. He heard about sibling rivalry before, but never really believed in it. "Anyway, I'll go first, and try to use my dark form rather than human form. We'll need some kind of signals to communicate without words, too... Preferably visual signals, shapes that will be easy to recognize without confusing them with each other."

"Uh, well... Can you make a hand in that form?" Emily asks, slight confusion on her face as she now begins to walk. "We could use hand signals if you can."

Jackson had reminded silent the entire chat about the group splitting off groups. He didn't have any ideas on what should or shouldn't be done at the time so he simply watched the forest ahead of them for any movement. While the idea of the group splitting up didn't sit well with him, he knew it was for the best for now. Not only was a large group like this hard to keep hidden when moving but it was also easier to track them if anyone was following them.

He followed Harrel after his comment about Isabella and whatever else he was sensing.

"This other thing you are sensing.... Is it one entity or many?" He questioned Harrel with a light tone trying not to project his voice to the best of his ability.

"Many." Harrel quickly replies to Jackson's question. Though the tiniest twinge of doubt flickers as he seems to keep watching with his minds eye. "Except they're all so similar, it's rather strange. Hard to tell where one ends and the other begins. I can't get a good count on them because of it."

"Hmm... I can transform partially, or change my shape to resemble a hand... Yeah, this will work." Jonathan moved alongside Emily. "For example, raising my fist would mean stop, an O.K. sign would mean the area's clear..." He spent a few moments muttering to himself as he tried to come up with signs. However, he quickly realized that perhaps Emily ought to have a say in this as well. "So, any propositions?"

"Hrm..." Emily thinks for a moment, her hand coming to rest on her chin as she leans her back against a tree. "Well, those two are good so far... Though how about one for trouble in the area? Something like an outspread hand?"

"Yeah, that'll do." Jonathan nodded. He stared at his hand for a bit, asking any random diety around for inspiration. "Two fingers forming a V-shape: shoot a flare. One finger, wait where you are. This one..." Jonathan raised his thumb, then pointed it down, like a Roman emperor telling a gladiator to die. "This one means get the Hell out of here. Do we need anything else?"

"They sound like all the signals we'll need, and if something comes up that we don't have a signal for... well, there's only really one thing that could come up that we don't have a signal for and I think we'd be too busy to make signals," Emily says jokingly, then turns around and reaches up. Grabbing ahold of a branch the girl effortless pulls herself up into the tree, performing a flip before landing on the branch in a swatting position. "Just to play it safe I'll travel through the tree's. Can't have things slipping past you only to ambush me, right?"

Jonathan smirked as he listened to Emily. "I guess you're right... Just watch your step, I've never practiced catching falling girls." He wasn't particularly worried about the girl, not after her display of skill. "Let's move, then. Try not to get in front of me." He quickly shifted into his dark form, setting off nearly immediately afterwards. He didn't want to waste time, as even in shadows he was still affected by the weak, but still present, daylight.

"Don't worry about me, I'm a trained gymnast. Just keep your eyes ahead and let me worry about anything sneaking up on us," Emily replies as Jonathan snakes off then begins to chase after him, silently leaping from tree to tree.

"You think they're all of the same species? Or do they have different feelings about them that distinguish being ... Oh hell, I don't even know how your ability works."



As Johnathan and Emily pressed forward, they might swear they heard something grunting not far away, as well as the sound of flapping wings over head ...

Ian remains mostly alert, given the group has stopped and sent out their scouts, not wanting there to be any reason for Emily and Jonathan to come back to them in a hurry.

Sho, in the meantime, tries to piece together what Harrel might be picking up. "Something like a hive mind? Or is it just, well, like Siphon said, a lot of the same type of mind? Like, well, to use the same analogy, bees or maybe ants?" If there were a cluster of things, they might be guards. Or something just sentient enough to be a trap or alarm if something not the big-bad got too close.

"Well not a Hive mind necessarily. I'm spiritually sensitive, not psychic. But they do almost seem linked. They're not individually identical to each other though either. Same base, but surprisingly varying build..." The Etherian man tries to answer, but looking both a little stumped and intrigued, half talking to himself. "If I had to guess based on their uh, colour, I'd say they were demonic, but that doesn't explain the strange similarity amongst them. Gehh, sorry if that doesn't make much sense. This language doesn't have any words for most of this stuff." Harrel says, rubbing the back of his neck.

Emily freezes just as she is about to leap from one tree to another and cocking her head to one side she calls out quietly to Jonathan. "Hey, do you hear that noise?"

Jonathan stopped. He gathered himself into a single puddle, hiding somewhere among the bushes. He poked out only for a moment, to show Emily a "closed fist". He couldn't talk in this form, and didn't want to transform yet. There was something around here... Enemy scouts? Jonathan decided to slowly climb the nearest tree and observe from a higher point, without returning to human form.

As the two froze and tried to decide what they were going to do, the silent air was broken by a loud hissing noise, followed by the beating of powerful wings as five creatures flew overhead. The best thing to call them based off their looks were Gargoyles. Large, powerfully built and seemingly angry with something, they buzzed low down, as if they were searching for something, before they then banked away from the two, having apparently not yet seen them.
