Re: Shinobi Girl

Hey thanks for posting the blog entry Ace. For some reason I can't view the Japanese characters on Koon's site, but I can view them here... Cool! I'm not sure about the February part though...I think he might just be saying "Happy New Year!" about him posting his blog entry at the end of January... But that's just me trying to decypher google translate like you.

@JohnDoe I think Chinese being the most spoken language is a cop out answer just because of China's huge population. A few people speak Chinese in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and a little bit in Indonesia, but that's it I think. So...it's not a really well traveled language imo. Mandarin doesn't even get you very far in China itself when you get outside the major cities with all the dialects...

I very much doubt that. Sure, more people use it as their native language, but a lot of people use english who don't have it as their native language.

The most commonly used worldwide first language is Chinese.

Right now it's english, but that's because you can't name better alternative. Why?Because there isn't one. And it became international mainly because of historical and economical reasons(basically, colonization, USA, Australia and unharmed by two World Wars), not because it's a language with intergalactic qualities :) English may be easy to learn and good for business and technical stuff, but believe me, there are better languages for everything else.

Btw you would be suprised how hard it is to find more or less english-speaking person in Eastern Europe.Maybe they just hide from the turists to avoid stupid questions?
Oh in Europe it used to be Latin, German, then French.

But personally? You can find flaws with practically all non-trivial languages, so you might as well use one with the greatest amount of speakers as well as being the language that most academics and technicians write in. I mean, it sure is more efficient than trying to construct (read: make-up) a hypothetical perfect language and then convince everybody else to speak it, right? Not to mention all those documents that would need to be rewritten.

Now if some other language displaces English of its position (like what happened to Latin) then I'll suppose we would have to pick the other language, but I see that as very unlikely to happen.

According to google translation of the following blog message, artist says he going to resume the project during or shortly after Japan's New Year but I'm not sure if I read it right.
The author wished a Happy New Year to his visitors, despite it nearly being February when the blog post was written.

The rest of it is a (admittedly boring) progress report and the author mentioning that he has an 'apprentice' whom he hopes would have his own site soon.

And after that it's the Q&A session.

Yeah-yeah, "Take the easy way out" *said the inner voice*
But reason says it's not always better. It's been known that complexity and attributes of language affects nation's mentality(and vice versa).Basically, it changes with time depending on how people generally live and how they generally think.
So no thanks, I wouldn't want to see English remain one and only universal language.Judging by the looks of thing now, I would prefer variety until that "perfect language".
Heh,what follows from my theory, I guess, is that such language would be language of nation that the whole world admires(aspires, respect, etc.) :)

Which will never happen. The most powerful country will always be hated on by the others since they envy the position said country occupies, look at the way other countries view the USA.

That's not so much envy as it's the case of US behaving like a dick. They're one of the only western countries that didn't sign Kyoto protocol, if not THE only. And they refuse to sign a lot of other treaties too. And the stereotypical American is an ignorant asshole. Of course it's not like all or probably even most americans are like that, but that stereotype didn't come out of nowhere(hell, US is the only country that has issues with creationism. Even Vatican supports evolution theory and that says a lot). Oh, and then there's Iraq war and the non-existent WMDs and Guantanamo. And the current depression is pretty much US fault for the government being afraid to control the big businesses. I could go on and on.

Now, it's not so much the case of other countries being so much better as it's the case of US getting the publicity because they're so big. But with all the publicity like that happening pretty much all the time, it's no wonder people don't like US. And it has little to do with envy. I wish I could say it has nothing to do with envy, but with people being people... Nevertheless, envy is only a small part of it.

Re: Shinobi Girl

United states views in a shinobi girl thread? Thats some epic off-topic skill. I i already knew the U.S. was a dick anyway lol.

Waiting patiently for this to come out. Since its taking a while, i bet theres going to be like 5 new enemies or maybe a modified gameover or ending screen.

Anggi, please stop posting multiple times at once. We understand you enjoy the game, but there's no need to gush so excessively.

Re: Shinobi Girl

aah, internet, what a great thing...It's so cheap now, that if you run out of gasoline(because you don't have the money for some spare canister) in the middle of the wasteland, you can at least cry of it on some blogs .The only problem is the language - I wonder when they create esperanto and make it official international? =)

No offense for the low-payed folks, it's just that i've seen this evening four different people telling about their poor money or rural area situation and found it amusing.I still remember days, when I have to walk to one and only internet-cafe in our town, pay about 1$\hour for sitting there and some more for every traffic mb i spent.Good times.

to anggiharibawa: you should't stop at just Shinobi Girl(the first stop is Angel Girl, probably), we could wait a long time before the full version gets out.But that's natural in free hentai.
There are others small flashes that have cute girls drawn in japan(obviously because they start to train in drawing naked females in highschool, getting experience with doujinshi). Off the top of my head - try JSK, you can look in here

Reading this combined with anggiharibawa's post before it created an odd image in my head. A small village... with only one computer... and this dude's playing shinobi girl on it... he's obviously become infatuated with it... do I really need to take this any further?

Well, he's not being offensive or purposefully trying to start a flame war, so he's not a troll, more like a noob.
