Oh come now, the purpose of this forum and it's predecessors was to discuss line marvel and his h-game, I'm not saying it couldn't happen but I would be suprised if you didn't discover/join this site because of porn.

But yeah, I'm only concerned about IVs solely for competitive play. Hell, I don't even think natures or EVs matter that much in a casual playthrough. I beat my copy of Black and only lost once - which was against one of my rival's, which considering how I only had two moves, who gives a fuck.

Then that's where we differ, I don't touch the competitive play side of Pokemon because there's only one person in my group of friends that takes it that seriously, and there's no local tournaments held anywhere near where I live. Though unless you're entering in actual proper Pokemon tournaments it's a bit sad to go around farming for specific IV's. And yeah, I don't do EV training until I get access to the post game shit, no point in training up Pokemon during the main story to be fuck awesome battlers if you can't gain access to area's where the Pokemon you need to battle certain EV's are.

I never even knew local tournaments were possible since back when Pokemon was hot, no kid ever understood what it meant to make a "good" team - most just relied on legendaries or starters, thinking that's decent. Not to mention, everybody I know in real life doesn't even finish their games properly. Hell, with the exception of like two, all my friends dropped Pokemon after Gen 3 (because they were bitching about not being able to go to old Regions). Thanks to wifi, online tournament battling as well as casual is now an option.

I think in Gen 5, the Pokemon site are actually conducting official tournaments on occasional times. These suck since they allow teams like Drizzle Politoad alongside Swift Swim users, or allow them to use the asshole trio of Excadrill, Garchomp and Tyranitar.

I sorta sound like I'm actually bragging about it. I'm a little jealous that people like you can just enjoy the main game and not get suckered into competitive bullshit. Because when you make a game competitive, it's only fun when you win for the most part. It almost ruins the games since my priority is to be good, not to have fun.

Well, I guess this is a testament of my pathetic social insecurity, which is now sorta coming onto this forum as well. I get so prissy and depressed when things don't really go my way, so I become obsessive over things that - for the most part - don't really matter in the long run. This form of obsessiveness overrides my ability to have fun and relax, and I end up wangsting when I fail. I guess this is why Rainbow Dash is my favourite character since she seems to also share the same issues I have - being overly competitive as well as suffering from insecurity.

Why not just use Pokemon Online then for online battling? All the 'fun' of grinding for IV's without the actual grinding.

BAH! Rattata's evolution, the only that looks like a furry turd with teeth (IT IS'NT BIDOOF) coupled with hyper-fang was my favorite in the original, sure there were better looking pokemon, and depending on the situation those with more advantages against a specific type but it was one of the best pokemon for fighting everything, untill hyper-fang ran out...

I definately know what you mean about dipshit friends and pokemon though, I could never get the other two starters because even though I went out and bought the goddamn transfer cable, nobody would trade them to me even for an equal trade (there was nothing more rare than the 3 starters back then). And nintendo's bullshit tournament/special events were never anywhere near where I lived, which was a nice added fuck you when one of the little bastards went and got a mew. That begs the question, how the fuck DO you conivnce your parents to drive 200 miles for a bullshit pokemon tournament? I couldn't even convince myself I wanted to go to one.

I am curious as to what it is you define as "Fake" math, because if you look at imaginary numbers for example, which are essentially square roots of negative numbers, which by the definition of square roots do not exist. Yet, they are needed in many fields of mathematics and engineering. However, many who do not study math or physics may be quick to dismiss the usage of numbers that do not exist as unnecessary, or even ridiculous. Just curious.
