I hate being sick. My body aches everywhere and I keep sneezing and coughing.

I think we can agree that no matter what team won the Super Bowl, the Black-Eyed Peas definitely lost.

Oh I know! I couldn't believe they sounded so bad because I usually like the songs they played. It was so.....empty, just like reading from a script.

Re: Hate Thread

Probably but thankfully the joy of listening over the radio was I didn't hear the half-time show. Though I did unfortunately hear the national anthem butchered.

Oh fuck yes. While it was visually interesting, the sound quality was crap. I could barely hear the music and I was watching it on a damn good TV with surround sound. All I could hear was the singing, and then Fergie doing a rather horrible rendition of "sweet child of mine".

I was disappointed... my team losing just added injury to insult.

I sat down for the coin toss. I missed the national anthem. I can only shake my head at it... but you being an American... damn that must have been a piss off. I know I'd be pissed if someone butchered Oh' Canada.

They have always been really terrible live. Typically the only one that can hold a tune is Fergie herself... and yet even she was terrible for some reason. To quote myself, "Dear Fergie. There's a line between vibrato and ululation. You crossed it about 4 half-steps ago."

Yeah, I never really listened to them until about a month ago, but I started to like them. Got kind of excited for half time, but was sorely disapointed :(

Re: Hate Thread

Even I heard about the national anthem thing.

For some reason, it was published as "news", something I'm getting rather tired of. Frankly, while it may be news in the US, and even then it barely qualifies as real news, over here it's distinctly not.

Also rage at amazon sending me the NTSC U/C region copy of a PS2 game. It's bad enough they promised me free shipping and then landed me with a $20 bill ($20? For something that weight?!) but they didn't specify any region on the sales item. If I don't get a full refund included shipping both ways... (they promise a measly $5 for return shipping by default, which might actually be enough or close to, further proving the robbery of their initial charge)

But they seem to expect me to mail it back before I know whether or not I'll be refunded. Which I won't do. I'm not giving it back if they're not returning my money; I can at least sell it on ebay to recoup some of the cost.

This is going to be the best and worst week. Worst because I am basically going to go into work drunk and sleep deprived every day this week so I can socialize.

Wait that was published as "news", it's not even news here in the US. Unless you count the sports page as actual "news".

Re: Hate Thread

*sigh* Not even my new technique for interacting with political debate saved me from getting worked up today. Kind of disapointing considering I didn't even enter into discussions on the issue itself.

3 campaigns I'm associated with died within the last 48 hours. Rage.
I guess it frees up time that was apparently already free because damn why else would I be involved in so much goddamn d&D.

I have too much time to kill.

I hate that. You know what I do to piss the people off more than anything? Be apathetic. Either way they are gonna be pissed off at you, so you might as well not give them any ammunition. At least in my experience, they rage, I don't.

Eh, I actually didn't step into the proverbial minefield myself, but still managed to get personally insulted on a rather touchy subject for me.

I hate that I'm at the final mission in Mass Effect 2, but can't finish it today as I have to show up for school tomorrow. I want to kick some insectoid ass right now.

Re: Hate Thread

Ugh, another monday night combat patch.

I like the game and all, but they really need to fix their fucking patching process, since steam automatically downloads the entire game again for every little patch.

I lost Tali first so I restarted the final battle and took Tali along with me instead of whoever I took first. Didn't lose a single person that time thankfully. But yeah, I went through the entire final boss battle without taking any damage, Garrus and Tali did but squadmembers dont really count when you can just revive them.
