Looks like it's time for a boycott of all the companies supporting SOPA and its ilk. If they're going to attack us, we're going to fuck them in the pocket.

Re: Fairy Fighting

couldn't he still try Mediafire for hosting the game?

He could, but they may go down too as a result of this action. Torrents are by far a better medium than a file sharing site at this point of uncertainty, while a magnet link is going to be nearly unbeatable in terms of both the privacy of the content and ability to get it fast.

Re: Fairy Fighting

Honestly, I'd say that this internet freedom crisis is a result of having a government which does not represent the youth of the country at all.

The game is currently still available, btw - the link in the strikethrough section (loda.jp/etc/etc) will take you to somewhere where you can download the .torrent file in a zip (called fairyfightingxxxxxxx.zip.zip - two .zips importantly). Then, run the .torrent through uTorrent or something.

Re: Fairy Fighting

Fileserve has a message saying that you can no longer use the service for sharing files, only for personal uploads.
That website is now 99% pointless to most companies that has to share files to one another.

We'll be back in the stoneages soon with USB's as the only form of 'filesharing'

I would quote that in my sig if there was room.
Best thing I've read all day, and it's been a long day.

Companies are already using Dropbox (and similar services) rather than MU or FS. It's far more convenient that it automatically synchronizes the folder, rather than having to go download it each time. Dropbox has no hand in their content, and it's not like you can give a public link to a file, so they won't have the same issue as these other services.

There will always be torrents, and a multitude of other ways to share files. Torrents in particular are nice because of DHT; there used to be a need for a single computer to link up clients in a way, but DHT eliminates that need entirely. Hell, I run a web server on a spare box, and could easily toss on FTP as well. IRC will never be destroyed, either.

I'll give it a week or less before it's down as well.
I mean the Mediafire, not the H-Game itself.

Re: Fairy Fighting

Is it just me or is his site down?

I'd be willing to attempt to host the game file for him, but there's the language barrier and also I'd have to see what affect it had on the server.

His site is up on my end, and I just downloaded the game half an hour ago, so I'm thinking it's on your end.

That would be a rather sad game.

Well, at least we still have torrents as a last resort.

Re: Fairy Fighting

Which would you consider the hardest boss then? both FF and dark tiki are somewhat tricky to me (they keep spamming counter attack and I can't seem to do anything to hit them ;_;)

Every other fight seems to have a mechanic that you can avoid and such to win without so much as being hit. Also, I don't think any boss will ever be easier than the bee.

Small off topic note, does anyone else find it hilarious that we were discussing serious politics in a thread about a fairy getting brutally raped by god knows what?
I replayed it from beginning to end just recently and can easily answer: MotherDrinkingWorm. GreenAmeba and AlauLune were hard, but not so much.
FallenFairy and DarkTiki don't require me to use any strategy at all. I use mostly uppercut attack (down, forward + heavy punch) followed by fist mashing (holding forward + rapidly pressing heavy punch), just like I usually do, works well.
ExpandBee was more tricky for me, because I can never have enough time to release eggs before he grabs Tiki again, so I had to punch him while being pregnant. It's not hard, just tedious.

Hmm...

2012 Doomsday checklist:
File sharing services on the internet going down causing a frenzy/scare...

It has begun...

On a more serious note, it is nice to see a little back story thrown in. It adds that little something.

Getting the eggs out isn't so hard...just keep ducking him til you get near the edge of the screen. Duck once he charges and he'll hit the wall and you can eject them then. Don't have to time punches or anything like that...just duck.

Re: Fairy Fighting

It came up at the bottom of the screen when he egg'd you to tell you to duck and showed you how. Did he remove that at some point? It's been awhile since I last fought the bee. You could break the bee's fight so easily with the duck, since it couldn't reach you. Not sure if the bee has a grab to counter that now.

Edit: My apologies, what comes up at the bottom is how to get the eggs out, but yeah you can just hold down and the bee can't touch you. It is still effective. Just redownloaded the newest version and have been sitting here in duck mode waiting to see if the bee can counter it. He did make the bee quicker from what I see though.
