Re: Hate Thread

I dislike the fact that I have no feeling for international pricing because I live in Norway... I have on average 15 direct hits to my online store, and I don't think the products are terrible, but I still have no sales... Should I adjust the pricing? Is 25 bucks too much for a t-shirt in the States and in Japan? (That's where I have the most hits...)

Anyways, I should probably make a thread about this...
The price is probably a bit steep, all the teeshirts I've ordered from America before customs/delivery charges have been about $13-15.

Re: Hate Thread

I don't think I'd pay more than 20 for a t-shirt.

Re: Hate Thread

Yeah, 25 dollars is a bit out of my price range (five dollar Target polos goooo!). I've also seen Chinatown novelty t-shirts go at two US dollars. But I have a feeling that's a bit too low a price than you'd like. So I'd say like seven or eight dollars a shirt.

Re: Hate Thread

$8 for an 'internet' teeshirt? Thats a bit low. I'd suggest looking at sites like Topaco and Robot Shark for price suggestions, they're the ones I shop from and most of their teeshirts are about $15.

Re: Hate Thread

I don't know. I don't shop for clothes online, and I'm really just going with the prices I buy my clothes at from stores.

Re: Hate Thread

Hmmm, I guess I should set up a quality category and a cheap category... I can get the prices down to around 15 bucks, but that's on cheap t-shirts, for proper quality it rises fast :( Maybe I should find a different provider.
I'll take this advice and redo my store, thanks guys:)

Well there's your problem then. The teeshirts I've bought from those sites I've mentioned are designed by webcomic artists, and because its one of the main area's they get their money (advertisements on their sites being the other main area) they charge $15. The hoodies are even more expensive, some I've seen are $30-45. Though most of the teeshirts use American Apparel or Fruit of The Loom teeshirts, which I'd imagine are pretty good quality teeshirts to use.

Re: Hate Thread

Dear God... Thanks for the warning. I'm never buying clothes online. I'm a cheap motherfucker and I want my thrift store clothes.

Re: Hate Thread

I do generally spend very little on clothes though I do like the odd internet teeshirt. The last four I ordered cost me about £70 before customs decided to fuck me in the ass.

I hate my unreliable imagination and lack of motivation. AKA the fact that half to 75% of the time I'm as bad as Oni :(

And what is that supposed to mean? I'll have you know my imagination is active 24/7 which is one of the main reasons I find it hard to sleep, and I have plenty of motivation. I'm just too damn lazy to act on that motivation.

I hate being the one to point out the obvious...

... but I think the big factor is your store doesn't have anything unique in stock. You've got T-shirts with text on them - something any half-decent print-on-demand kiosk can pull off - and then a shopper can add more text and their own images - also something any half-decent print-on-demand kiosk can do.

The "Rip Here" shirt and the "Lab Coat Power" shirt at least have a little artwork to go with them.

I'd try to keep prices in the US$15-20 range, and then I'd try to come up with some new designs. Preferably involving artwork, to make designs that no other store can easily reproduce.

Re: Hate Thread

Mondays, like today, but here's some specifics.

Reoccuring blood blisters.

Idiot drivers (3 times today, one almost hit me in the parking lot, but counterballenced by the one behind me pulling in next to me in the parking lot and being a freshment who I knew, who I promptly proceeded to haze)

Monday tests.

Re: Hate Thread

I hate how staying at work late meant that when I left it was pouring rain instead of sunny. I hate even more how that meant I had to walk across two parking lots full of puddles getting completely soaked and trying not to get my books I was carrying drenched....I still feel cold and damp after getting changed. :(

Re: Hate Thread

I hate when I have a good idea, and then have ABSO-FRICKIN'-LUTELY NOTHING with which to write it down. And then, once I DO find something to write with, or by the time I get to a computer, I've forgotten the idea.

Re: Hate Thread

That totally blows. Been there, done that. Or when you've typed something and for some reason the text gets eaten or whatever and you can't type the same thing the exact same way.

I also hate mandatory store meetings on Sunday nights.

I second that. I've been waking up most days this week with a headache or developing a headache not long after getting up, though I think its a combination of late nights-early rises and not drinking enough.
