Woot! in the beta, now I've got to wait for it to DL. Went with the catapault for my choice, which they certainly didn't make easy (the last time I played mechwarrior extensively flat monitors hadn't even come out), but I believe I've gotten something that will suit me.
I must say thought, the min specs are fuckin rediculous, 4gb of ram for XP? lololol I did order ram yesterday (not just to play MWO), but that's double any other game on XP, and quad-core processor? Fuck me sideways, I definately don't have one of those and I'd need to pretty much build a new comp from the ground up to work with one, so we'll see if this even runs it. At least my video card is above min specs.

I got the normal campain done with the Warmage, got most the 'basics' upgraded now and working my way through the tiny bit of grinding for dat max'd upgrades. I'd be willing to run a few rounds at times, real life permitting of course.

Cool cool. I've mostly been focusing on increasing the acid spray, ice vent and floor spike traps. Got the acid with increased range and the other two with slow down, and the ice vent to be placed on the ceiling.

Most my skulls have been going into optimizing what I got before I really go out of my way to add new stuff. Arrow Wall and Tar Trap are max'd out, probably gonna max some of the weapons and spells next as well as other traps that are my favorites (Archer Guardian and Floor Spikes ftw!). Then after that probably stuff from the Artifacts DLC cause I remember how overpowered as hell they were with my playstyle ^^;

For those of you interested, Cold Stream on Left 4 Dead 2 has FINALLY left non-beta state, and Valve as per usual
Personally just went through Deadcraft just a bit ago, was really well-done, though the Nether Fortress section was confusing for a short bit when I took a wrong turn. Just like the real one!
There's also a ton of refferences to well-known Minecraft community members, not to mention direct refferences such as having to 'craft' TNT for one section and fully reskinning the mobs in Minecraft flair (zombies and uncommon infected are naturally various zombies in various attire [Note: Diamond Armor equals Security, Hazsuit are noticable, Mudmen are leather armor, and Fallen Survivors have a unique skin), whereas the rest of the specials take on different mobs, such as Slime for Hunters, Endermen for Smokers, Skeletons as Spitters, Zombie Pigman for Charger, Chicken as Witch, Ghast as Tank, and so on. Animations sometimes don't match (specially multilimbed models like Spiderjockey) but otherwise it mostly fits with theme and at times can also be somewhat hillarious. All in all, a well-done campaign.

Ohyeah! Deathcraft! My friends just downloaded that map last week. I'll admit that they did a pretty damn good job skinning the game. My one friend plays minecraft and I know enough about it to find the references amusing (Like the lurker = boomer one). Personally, I found the first board kind of difficult because of the snow, but it was also fun running around and seeing the corpse cameos. I've been trying to find a list of all of them, because, well, it's funny.

Playing two games atm; Bastion and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. My buddy and I had a conversation at the Flame Broiler, which led to him telling me to play Bastion. So I am, and I have to say... It really is a fun, rockin' game.
As for Monster Hunter... Fuck you Blangongos... I hate you and your rank 8 mission too... I just want my Blango Decimator, or whatever lvl 8 sword you give me and you always have to hurts me :-: Shame on you evil monkey bastards!

So, apparently Army of Two is getting a new installment: The Devil's Cartel.
Also apparently, they're going for a more 'mature' tone for this one. Salem and Rios are out, Alpha and Bravo (yes, those are the names they're using, though it's not their real names according to the studio) are in.
I'm not sure how to feel about them trying to make it more 'mature'.
On the one hand, it'll be something different, maybe they'll do alright.
On the other hand, the first game felt like an action movie, and I had a lot of fun in it. When they tried to get more serious in the second game, it put me off a bit. Not enough to make me hate it (the meandering story did that just fine, though), but it definitely was a minus.
I'm willing to give it a shot when it comes out (hopefully next March), but I REALLY hope they don't try to make it too damn serious.

I actually liked the second game much better. Story did feel a bit floundering, but they had a bit more seriousness to the tone, while keeping not so serious banter between Salem and Rios. I hope that despite going more 'mature' the devs recognize that two guys running through all this shit are still going to make immature banter.
I'm hoping for more customization. If they're bringing in new characters, let us have character customization (including choosing gender... please?). Make weapon customization even better; it was awesome in the second game, but has been outdone by the new Ghost Recon.
In the end, I know I'll get the game and run through it with my brother, and we'll have a blast.
