Yeah I know, but thats ages away. And Reach has both spoilt and ruined me; spoilt me with the Jetpacks and ruined me with its altered control system. Sure, I COULD'VE set it up to mimic H3's control system but after I realised I could it was too late. I had been using it for too long and H3's just seemed too alien (no pun intended).

I actually enjoy the control switch this time around, while when Halo3 was released I hated it, and never got fully used to it, because that control scheme is indeed so alien compared to pretty much every shooter.

Oh I never said I didn't enjoy it, it's just hard going back to Halo 3 after using Reach's control system for a while. When I was playing online on Halo 3 last night I kept trying to melee with RB and reload/pick up stuf with the X button. Was probably one of the reasons why I didn't get as many kills as I should've.

Yeah... I actually do that in Halo3 after playing pretty much any shooter.

You know what... what the FUCK ever happened to fully customizable controls for consoles? Does it really cost so much time, money, and effort that it's not a feature worth putting into games? Fighter games have no problems putting it in, so what the hell makes it so difficult to put into other games?

Or am I just playing all the wrong games =.=

As much as that would be entirely lovely... I don't actually know. I'm not a programmer. There probly is a reason, seeing as PC games generally let you do it, but I couldn't really defend or attack this.

It's pretty easy for the Xbox. You just have to be aware that you're making customizable controls when you start. It's pretty hard to retroactively make custom controls. Well, not hard, just time consuming and obnoxious. Of course, if they have different 'sets' of controls that you can use, then the code is already in there, pretty much; you just have to make a couple small adjustments to the input. If the game DOES only have 'sets' and the controls aren't fully customizable, then they're just being dicks... or possibly it has something to do with game balance. I'd be extremely hesitant to place it on game balance though, I mean what exactly could be broken about being able to hit two certain buttons faster than you might be able to with the current control scheme?

I hate when a teacher gives you some answer/reason that translates into 'I don't give a fuck.'

All I needed was 20 minutes in the computer lab to grab something off my computer really quick so that I would be ready for tomorrow's class. The teacher that was there (no class, but their office is right there) said 'Nope, there's not a student aid around, so you can't go in.'
It's not like he was doing anything and wasn't able to come himself, or that there was going to be a class in the next hour. He just didn't want to help me.
