Re: Random movie talky stuff.
Yeah Oni, I'll agree with you on both Sherlock Holmes and Clash of the Titans.
I was actually rather happy with how Holmes turned out. I expected another popcorn action blockbuster type movie, as the trailers showed. The fact that there was a mystery behind it all made it for me. I'm glad I went to see it.
Clash of the Titans does look awesome. As far as I know they are going for an 'R' rating (in the U.S., so that could be almost anything outside the states cause its fairly easy to get R ratings there) so I'm curious to see how it plays out.
As a sidenote on ratings, I'm entirely unsure of how they work outside the U.S. and Canada. Canada seems to be much more lenient. For example, Saving Private Ryan was R in the states (which is like, no one below 17... perhaps they're allowed in with an adult), but in Canada, it was 14A (no one under 14 without adult accompaniment).
So, how lenient are the ratings in say... the U.K. (as that seems to be one of the larger areas of the forum goers), or other European countries. I'd ask about Australia, but I'm afraid that Bambi would be rated 18+ or something because the mother gets killed. Though of course, that kind of censorship may just be towards Video Games... and A cup breasts.
