Re: Kathy's Legend of Zelda CYOA

Vote) D, if we're going to find Ruto, we might aswell try to locate a blue tunic first. But before heading to the shopkeep, ask the advisor if he knows where to find such a tunic, if he's unwilling to share information, explain it that a blue tunic would surely help Link finding Ruto more than not having one would.
This. It's the most logical choice.

Re: Kathy's Legend of Zelda CYOA

(Winning vote: D!)

Link waves at the advisor wildly to try to ask about the blue tunic, but the man seemed like he had already spent more time than he should have talking with her, and was gone quickly, not turning back to answer anything else.

Link stood there a moment, then nodded. She understood that he was trying to keep up appearances and give her time to finish her task. Turning back once more, Link made her first appearance to the zoras in her new outfit. If they were gawking or staring at her nude body before, the sight of her in that new outfit, with beautiful fins swaying about her body, was jaw dropping.

Although the Zoras did not know about this strange turn of events, her appearance was almost magical to them, as if telling them that things were going to change just by looking upon her.

Link walked past several zoras, waving gracefully and smiling on her brief appearance heading to the shop. Her arrival brought a huge smile to the shopkeeper's face, "That looks wonderful on you... So what can I get for you today?... ... ... Blue Tunics? oh..." he hesitated a second, actually leaving his post to look out the front of his shop before he slowly came back and whispered, "Don't tell anyone... but when the former king was inviting more Hylians to come see us, I stockpiled some extras... but it was a huge loss for me when the new king suddenly banned Hylians. I was almost broke.. so I broke his rules and went down to Lake Hylia to sell them off. I modified them heavily to suit the new Hylian trends, more like the outfits I was showing you before..."

He coughed a few times as if he knew more, but was a bit hesitant to say, then finally continued, "I.. have seen the garments around a few times recently though... There is a Goron that's setup near Lake Hylia that bought all of them. He rents them out to Hylians who want to visit deep under the lake, with hopes of entering the lake temple... We've told our young ones never to go near a Goron Slaver, but Gorons can't swim, as you may know... So they talk to him from the water even after our warnings..." he sighed after his muttering, "but if you really need to have one of the magic blue outfits... that's the only way you will get one, at least that I know of. My supplier stopped making them for me... but if you could find him out in Kasuto, there's always a chance he's got a few..."

Link thanked the shopkeeper with a kiss on the cheek that caused him to blush deeply as she rushed out. A quick hop under the water and using the power of the silver scale to dive deeper and go through the tunnel to Lake Hylia...

---

The darkness faded away as she burst forth into the evening light at Lake Hylia. Just as Hyrule Field, the lake seemed so natural, so untouched. So pristine and pure, despite the darkness that existed in the kingdom lately. Link smiled as she took the opportunity to grab up a few lost rupees around the edge of the lake before she climbed to shore. Standing at the side of the lake, she couldn't help but smile at the purity of Lake Hylia, despite all of the bad things happening, at least its clear waters were unchanged this time.

Starting her search for this Goron with the blue-outfits, she walked up to the lakeside observatory, only to see it seemed to have closed down in recent years, most of the equipment taken down, a small sign out front now read, "Lake Hylia Underwater Expidition!" Link glanced back at the old fishing pond at the side of the lake, finding it was closed off as well, a boarded up doorway and the sign having fallen off its post. It was a bit disappointing, but looking at the removed decorations and tools, Link at least smiled, knowing the people around the lake left safely with their things.

On the other hand... luck was in her favor, as she opened the door and walked in, finding a large Goron standing behind a small counter. "Ah, Greetings! Come for an evening swim? Or maybe planning an all night expidition to try to uncover the secrets of the lake?"

A shiver of uncertainty went down Link's spine, the Goron seemed strange and his voice rang untrue. It was so different than the Gorons she'd come to know. She felt a bit reassured when she saw several Hylian town guards standing inside the hut though, frowning at the goron. She shook off the feelings and nodded quickly, offering to buy an outfit...

"Oh I'm sorry little lady. I only rent my gear, if I sold even one, I'd lose a lot of business. Now if you want to rent one for a bit..."

Link nodded again eagerly, even just renting one for a bit was far better than nothing.

"Excellent. I just need a thousand rupees deposit, just in case, you know. And you can rent it for ten rupees a day."

Link whinced. She made it clear she didn't have anything near that much.

"OH, of course, of course. Not many people do I suppose. Let's just say you leave all of your things with me as collateral. And in exchange, you get the outfit for a bit. Fair enough? I'll let you keep a couple of your things, to help your exploration, of course, but your sword and shield there at least are staying with me, so you're not going to be tempted to fight and risk my precious outfits being damaged." The large goron's hands rubbed together menacingly, in a way Link was sure he had some dark plans for her.

One of the guards spoke up quietly to her, "Don't worry too much about your things... we're the ones that will hold them for your return... but I still wouldn't recommend taking his offer... if something happens and you..."

The guards words were cut off with an angry yell from the Goron, "HEY! Shut it you! I let you Hylians stay here as a courtesy, to prove we Gorons hold fair business. It's not my fault if your females can't keep their clothes on! I have every right to get my deposit money from them by goron law!"

The guard backed down and remained silent again, under the glare of the goron, it was obvious he wouldn't speak out of line again, even if she asked him.

Link found an additional 20 rupees just outside of the tunnel from Zora's Domain!

Link's Stats:
23.5 hours left until the False King knows she's missing.
2.75 / 3 hearts. 25 rupees.
Zora's Swimwear. Silver Scale. Well-Used Sword. Well-Used Shield. Hero's Bow (15 arrows). Hookshot. 1 Deku Nut. 1 Bottle (Red Potion, Tier 1, 5 hearts).

Vote)
a) Link decides against trying to obtain a blue outfit, leaving the hut and continuing without one. (Use previous vote choices for Vote2 if this option is taken.)
b) Link agrees to the goron's demands for collateral, offering to give up all of her things to be allowed to rent the blue outfit. (Select 2 items to keep)
c) Link refuses the offer, taking the advice of the guard, leaving the hut, but still needing a blue outfit. She decides to try to find her way to Kasuto where the Zora Shopkeeper's supplier is. (Warning: Time Consuming side-quest. May be discovered missing by the king before finding the supplier.)

A and B, (B for the reason Fanta specified.)

Judging from the rumors: If we're going to be investigating about "powerful zora's enslaved" by Gorons, or fighting pirates... I really don't think we should walk around unarmed. That's asking for rape/death.

A
C2 Why not go to Kasuto Lake. There was no specified threat, and the maker is there anyway. You'd be hitting 2 points at once, possibly finding Ruto and/or possibly getting a blue tunic

Re: Kathy's Legend of Zelda CYOA

C and only C, Refuse the offer, and try to find the maker of the Blue Tunics. It is outrageous to even consider diving down without all of our gear! Remember Harbin in Lost Woods? Yeah. We don't want that again, now do we?

The more gear we have, the more options are available to tackle whatever stands between us and our goal. C is the way here, not backtracking and gleefully giving our gear away(even if temporary) to some strangers!

Also, no point going after the Water Temple, even if it is right there, if we don't have a blue tunic.

:\ My eighty-nine rupees.

Randoms point is what I was trying to kind of allude to. Basically, we're of the idea that kasuto be the destination, even if our votes were different, the outcome is the same

Re: Kathy's Legend of Zelda CYOA

(Votes were varied. So...)

(First action: 1A, 2B)

Link declined the goron's offer and quickly backed away, realizing as she was about to leave that the guard would get in trouble for warning her, so she quickly motioned that she didn't have enough rupees, and the goron begrudgingly let the issue drop while Link left.

She looked out at the small island in the center of Lake Hylia and rushed across the bridges towards the Water Temple. She knew that she'd never be able to get all the way down to the temple without a blue tunic, but she headed out anyhow, quietly hoping that somehow she could somehow call Ruto.

But it was so long ago... she couldn't remember the melody, and simply yelling for Ruto wasn't going to do her any good...

Link sighed and sat down on the edge of the island, her feet dipping into the water as she sighed and thought back to Ruto...

Her thoughts interrupted rather quickly though when she felt two pairs of hands suddenly tugging her swimsuit and her breasts came loose, "See? She's got those red thingies on her chest!" A sudden pair of pinches on her nipples adding to the action, while she leapt to her feet and jumped a few steps back defensively, her ample breasts bouncing around wildly once they were exposed.

Hand on her sword hilt, she was about to attack when she realized who had snuck up on her while she was distracted. Sighing softly, she merely smiled and walked closer to the pair of zora children, shaking her finger scoldingly.

"Hi Miss Link. We're sorry we scared you... We just wanted to see those."

Link blushed a bit and got dressed properly again, then pulled her map out...

(Second Action: C / 1A, 2C)

Link tapped her fingers across the map, fuming quietly. It would take her hours to travel to the Kasuto area, and despite not having a defined threat about what would happen if the king learned she was missing, Link had a vague feeling that the advisor would be the one to suffer.

The two zora children noticed the map and the circle that Link was tapping her fingers against. "Heeey. Isn't that where that new tunnel leads to?" The other one nodded eagerly. "You wanna go there? It's a bit of a long tunnel, and you can't breathe underwater, can you?" They shrugged and dove into the water, splashing around and playing while Link begrudgingly had to take the long route, not willing to give up her gear to the goron.

---

Epona showed up at the playing of the ocarina, and Link hopped onto her horse's back, taking the path out of hyrule. It was a long ride, but these side paths were at least usually safe. Compared to her few bad encounters in Hyrule, the few guay she came across were easily picked off one by one.

Night had fallen by the time Link found the last few paths to the Kasuto area, and a few lesser stalfos starting to roam around, stalchilds, as they were often called.

Epona was tired as the pair finally reached the area, starting to protest against being ridden for so long, and Link knew it was time to give her horse a break.

This was Link's first trip to Kasuto, and the map was poorly drawn, only a few vague landmarks. She could see a town nearby, built at the edge of a small lake. Death Mountain was still visible off behind her, but in the growing darkness of the night and with so few landmarks, that was all Link could find for sure, hopping off of Epona's back and leading the pair near the city.

Link's Stats:
23.5 hours left until the False King knows she's missing.
2.75 / 3 hearts. 25 rupees.
Zora's Swimwear. Silver Scale. Well-Used Sword. Well-Used Shield. Hero's Bow (15 arrows). Hookshot. 1 Deku Nut. 1 Bottle (Red Potion, Tier 1, 5 hearts).

Vote)
a) Link heads straight into town, finding a place to leave Epona safely, then trying to ask around for the magic tailor that formerly sold to Zora's Domain.
b) Link brings Epona to the lakeside, starting to search for the rumored lake goddess.
c) Feeling tired after her rather full day of travel then the events in Hyrule, Link tries to find someplace to bed down for the night...
c1) ... inside the town, paying for a clean room and a warm bed.
c2) ... outside with Epona, tucking into her camping gear again and saving herself a few rupees, willing to contend with the risks and the hard ground.

Optional Sidevote2)
a) Epona is female same as in the games (no sexual acts with Link).
b) Epona is male, no sexual interactions with Link.
c) Epona is male, and has occasional sexual acts with Link.
d) Epona is male, and will have frequent sexual acts with Link.

Vote 1) C1, Hopefully this place ain't filled with madness, and getting a comfortable, clean bed to sleep in won't be too much of a problem...

Vote 2) Torn between A and D, but go with A if a tie occurs.

Re: Kathy's Legend of Zelda CYOA

Vote1.) C2. It might be dangerous but she's hardly unfamiliar with the fields, and she's critically low on rupees.

Vote2.) I decline to vote.

Re: Kathy's Legend of Zelda CYOA

( Since when is 25 Rupees "Critically low"? <,< )

( "Since we could more then double it by getting on top of the gate to the castle? :p" I call shenanigans all over you. I know of those Rupees but, 25 ain't critically low... And Link could use a comfortable nights rest. )

Re: Kathy's Legend of Zelda CYOA

(Voting isn't closed yet, the decision seems fairly close still. Just wanted to drop some OOC info on everyone.

Rupees aren't going to be as easy to find as going to certain places and doing some abstract task over and over again. Over the course of adventuring and exploring, she will gradually gain some though. That's not to say she can't do special tasks to obtain more, including selling items she gets in bottles (but don't count on selling ordinary bugs, and rare items will sell for more), or of course, RP related methods of getting money.

By the same token, I'm always going to have new things available to buy, unlike the zelda games, you will never walk around with 500 rupees stuffed in your pocket, complaining there's nothing to buy.

Suggestions will always be taken into consideration, as long as the suggestion is reasonable, or has a reasonable-seeming idea behind it (even if it really isn't). So if someone was to suggest Link visit a bar, get drunk, and go home with the first guy flirting with her to get a warm bed... :p well, we all can guess at how that'd go. After all, it's normal for heros to breeze through town and knock up all the pretty bar girls, so why not the other way around?

*ehem!*
Sidevote 3) Mostly for if vote2 was A or B...
a) No bestiality stuff plz.
b) Epona deserves sexing/raping too plz.
)
