I should have seen that coming. The latest replies have been uncharacteristically short and lacking in the Hafnium-grade silly.

Suppose it is another GM then. While the silly edge of the thread will never quite reach the same sharpness with another person, I don't have the patience to wait for what could be months of idle time. Maybe Tomoe can be retaken by Hafnom if he decides to come back some time. But until that happens, it looks like a new GM is needed.

Unless someone else volunteers for any of them, I'm taking over all of Hafnium's GMed DG threads just as soon as he sends me the notes for them.

Not really an excuse, but I was in a pretty bad mood when I wrote that and it came off as... well, really emo. It was far more gloom and doom than I had intended it to be even while I was writing it. As such, with the benefit of a few days to clear my head, I've edited it to give it another shot, hopefully free of angst and more capable of conveying my original intentions.

Sorry about all this. I handled this really poorly.

Updated dice roller for latest proposed DG4 ruleset. For Tass and anyone helping him test proposed DG4 rules. Anyone else need not worry.

Kinda made a little mistake in the previous roller, it always uses the same seed and so will spit out the same string of random numbers every time you start it up. A relic of testing. This one is fixed to properly seed itself.

Perhaps ye dice roller could have a side menu with logs keeping track of what rolls were made and their results? I sometimes find that useful when using

I'd be up for it, though I do have a few things to say off the bat.

First, you guys should disable smilies in your posts. It's an option down below when posting (and using advanced edit too I believe), and it does look very silly.

Second, what I really need as your GM is a cheat sheet, which references to all your character's values that account for all additions and the like. I ask for this because I am lazy and adding up all the math of your bonuses to-hit, damage, resistance, finding out what your Armor Value(AV) is with and without your armor equipped can be a hassle of it's own.

A good example of a very well done character sheet would be Hafnium's, which I'm sure you can steal from without fear of him pressing copyright charges (even if he wanted to). Though you don't need to put as much detail and the like as he has into his sheet, what I really need is a properly calculated sheet that's easy to read (as possible), and provides information that I can quickly access for when the rolls happen.

Also, my policies on how I run DG will change upon DG4, but for DG3, it's less about the rolls and more about choosing your battles wisely. I do have a habit of presenting players with initially impossible to win circumstances while laying about other resources to overcome the odds. Though there will be times when you get to steam roll mooks to enjoy the slaughter as most of us do.

But just to be clear, a bad roll won't make me punish your characters beyond maybe some humping. Bad decisions however can take your entire story down a bad way for a bit. For example, if I present a group of infamous bandits from a bandit group, and you charge in despite me laying out warnings of possible strong dudes in their group, then you can expect to be enslaved and raped, while other options eventually open to you to escape or otherwise.

That seems fair. And yes I'll go fix that. I think Termite did that to mine, and I'll prod Vyrian to hit the button. As for cheat sheets, I'll work on it right now.

I look forward to seeing my Idealistic combining with choosing wisely, and his bloodlust doing the same, but I'm certainly open to such endeavours. That and seeing bad stuff happen is as interesting as not.

So yeah, I'll edit in the cheat sheet promptly.

I won't doom you for having RP flaws. Bloodthirsty means you obviously can't back down from a taunt, but that does not mean I will put you before certain doom and pretend it's your fault for trying to make your character interesting.

Your flaws shall be a minor hindrance, and may make things more challenging, but I will not doom you.

Same here. I think I got everything, emphasis on think. It's a hard balance between keeping it readable and adding information, always feel I'm missing something that will be crucial.

I've looked over both sheet and don't see any mistakes. Between that and the bios, you're ahead of 90% of people who post sheets.

I'd have to talk with both you and Tassadar first about what you might be reasonably trying to accomplish in this RP, but I'm provisionally interested in GM'ing as well.

Edit: doh, there *was* one mistake. Denna should have 39 PP. You have the right math (20+12+7) but the wrong total (49).

As for my dice roller... I might be able to put in some sort of history function, though honestly UI is my weakest point so don't expect anything really fancy. I think the framework for recording rolls exists, though, or at least the structure I'd need to base it on.
