Yes it is, mostly because you have to learn it from someone, and do you see any True Brujah around? Although I always thought the first level of Temporis was a little silly, at least in the LARP rules, I don't know about Tabletop.

Also, my internet is down at my house, I can still update on my cell, but it will take a lot longer, and will probably have to wait until tomorrow at the earliest. Sorry, guys and gals :(

Well back. I'll look for a point to bring Claire back in, but I'm gonna have to read through the rest of chapter 1. I'd also wouldn't mind Shrike (or Copper... depending) if I could get a PM stating if anything unfortunate happened to Claire whilst she was being independent.

Unfortunately, that'll be Shrike's call on what, if anything, happened to Claire. I can see her coming back to the warehouse while the game is going on, honestly, unless Shrike wanted something to happen. Given what has been said about the internet situation, not sure when that might happen, though.

Good luck getting that back up, Shrike and WB Sin!

Well, no luck so far, the roomate who's bill it is is gone until wednesday-ish, everyone else thinks he hasn't been paying it. And sure, have Claire walk on in, nothing would have happened to her that close to sunrise, besides some burns anyway, and she could have made it back without a problem easily enough. You are one blood less from waking though, don't forget that ;)

I'll see what I can get up tonight, probably won't be too extensive, but it will keep things moving :)

A skillful Truejah is never found. And temporis 1 also allows you to dectect the use of other levels of Temporis, in addition to being able to know exactly what time it is. [or at least, it's the house rules my group played with.]

Also, if you know Celerity, you cannot learn Temporis. The in-game logic behind it is because someone with Celerity 10 cannot touch someone with Temporis 5, no matter what. It's a weaker discipline. Sorry, all you Toreadors, Brujah and Assemites, but you cannot ever be powerful enough.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Far as I know, Temporis 1 is just the mental wristwatch thing, though detecting other uses seems like it would make it slightly more handy.

And someone with Celerity can learn Temporis, they just have to ditch Celerity first. You sell Celerity off for half the points you paid into it, and buy as many Temporis levels as you can with them, the excess is wasted. Don't remember where I saw that, but it is most definitely somewhere in print.

Double post to answer Chibs' question.

You've been spending a blood every round. Celerity 2 gives you double the actions for one round, which is why you've been moving at double the speed. You're sitting on the 3-blood safety zone as is with this latest action, if you decide that you want to go back and take one or two rounds at normal speed, let me know, 'kay?

Alrighty, so you've got 4 blood then. As for breakfast, it's after playtime. How is River supposed to teach about the Beast unless you folks are hungry enough to feel it rise? ;)

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Small OOC question from my side here - assuming to be Ventrue, I might run into a bit of a mess here, as my clan curse will hardly have left me with any blood at all to begin the test (at least I would ask not to be given the curse to just feed from the freshly deceased, if I may.. ;) ) - as all I got was the corpse blood and that hasn't stayed all too long in my body... So.. if you need someone close to frenzy to teach - Byron would be a likely candidate..

Added a charrie portrait for Izzy if people want to have a look. It's hiding on her sheet.

Nice, though I was picturing more of an icy blue for the eyes. Course they might be icy blue in the pic, I can't really tell. Stupid poor eyesight.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

No, I was trying to get them to be a paler blue, but with the program that I use, I select the area I want to manipulate (in this case, her irises) and muck around with the hue, contrast, brightness, etc. Problem is, it retains the same *size* when I'm working on it -_- So I'm essentially trying to gauge color on something about "O" that big, so it's hard to tell if i have it right without stopping what I'm doing. Though if it matters any, her eyes *were* brown when I started.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Ah I see how that could be a problem. I've been trying to find a good picture to use for my character as well, but I haven't found anything I like. I don't have a good means of editing them either though.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

The closest I've ever gotten to River is that picture I made for when I used her in AWMBI, and that was with a flash program. It's in one of my albums, let me see...

Apart from that, there's a big blocky tattoo running from her left shouler all the way down to her wrist, if I had any art skills at all I would draw it on, but I don't.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Questions:

Will we need a pic of our character to post when they speak? Optional, discouraged, or required?

Will NPCs have a "face" we can see?

but, most importantly,

Will I have an opportunity to join the group?

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

1) discouraged, though a pic for your sheet is welcome

2) i generally write a description for the important NPCs, finding pictures is a hell of a hard thing when i'm on my cell. I did find a few before i actually started, but i couldnt find enough that i liked, so i scrapped that idea.

3) I KNEW I was forgetting something, i'll start coming up with a prologue for you, sorry about that :/

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Yeah, I wouldn't want to see a picture everytime someone spoke. I always like to try and find a character portrait for the sheet though. Maybe I'll just refine my description a lot, since that would probably be easier than finding a pic.

I actually tried finding pics for all the important NPC's in my old game as well, but I scrapped it when it became too much work finding good ones.

I posted a Gaia avatar for my charrie, should I dig that up and post it in my profile then?
