Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Do I get to be a plumber and run around finding coins floating in the air?

And what's wrong with being Italian? *narrows eyes*

Do I get to be a plumber and run around finding coins floating in the air?
Well, Nossies do hang around in the sewers a lot...

*sings* Something's gumming up the plumbing....

Nothing other than the whole temper thing for no reason thing. You don't see me getting mad at people who make fun of the French after all. Not that I could say anything since it's all pretty much true.

The Germans always beat the French in everything. Of course they have to go through Belgium first, but so what?

:p

Yeah I think that was actually posted here once before, or it could have been the old forum. Don't really remember still funny though.

You know what... I'm gonna respond to Shrike here because I might look up how to do it the other way... I was never taught how -_-

((Are there ways to choke somebody who's chin I'd touching their chest, protecting their neck? I don't really know... Also, don't you have to be behind someone to choke hold them?))
I'm not 100% sure because I only know the way to do it as an air choke but I know there's a way to do it as a blood choke instead focusing on the arteries rather then the airway. The first time it was used on me that's the way the guy did it, and no it works in front too... I know from first hand experience because my Judo guy did it too me... Ahh if your in a wrestling stance for Judo that happens...

EDIT: Standing Guillotine choke

If you didn't picture him with his head down like that well it has to be for it to work.

Too bad Shrike needs to keep things a surprise or I'd say just give TWO free rein to write up the fight scene. Might be easier *laughs*

I find it funny that I've never been taught to do it both ways lol. Well your character knows as much as you do soooo I guess I can't use it if I don't know how XD

Ah, I see what you mean there. Yeah, the problem of his guard still applies there, as the closest you're going to get to actually having an arm touching his airway is going to be sticking it in his mouth. Drop your own chin to your chestan and raise your shoulders a bit, and you'll see what I mean. I could see you still getting at the arteries like that, but the only way I can see that happening in front is the old two thumbs approach.

The one I know for artery choking from behind is similar to that guillotine one, except your elbow is in line with his chin, and you squeeze sideways, not back. Your choking arm's hand rests in the crook of the other elbow, and that one's hand goes behind their head to grip your opposite shoulder.

Anywho, back on topic, I wouldn't worry about it anyway, as he's going to kick your ass anyways, he's just holding back so it looks like what he's doing is withing human limits ;)

No you don't want to go that way or you die alot more painfully like I did. Of course some people are into that and all.

Quick question what is the appropriate greeting for a prince. For some reason I don't run into them that often, and everything I come up with sounds wrong in my head..

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

You seriously should have gone the Kook route with Phee, Shrike.

I have a feeling, Ronny, they'll either forgive us any transgretions just this once, being new, or we'll get a crash course before we're let in.

Whatever you do, though, don't call the Prince "Princess" if it's a woman. I really should have fried that stupid Pander for that...

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

So if I called him Mr. Fluffypants the first time it's okay then. Not that I would actually say that, but it might be funny.
