He then went on to say they'll try for their own version of 9/11 and makes a hysterical soccer mom sound like a rational stoic. These are the people who were in charge of the NSA?

As Switzerland is restricting asylum seekers while their application is processed(Which still makes them one of the most generous countries to asylum seekers), something which was supported by 80% of the voters, the opponents and media still call it 'controversial changes' while they have close to no support. The other source calls it 'apartheid-like' and pretends Switzerland is preparing to put clearly visible tags on everyone not born there.
Even with the changes, they're still giving more to asylum seekers than the rest of Europe

Basically, he knew she was drunk and was attempting to get her drunker and that's not ok according to this Texas law. Which I'm pretty ok with. The bar cut her off, he shouldn't have done that for her and he bought her like another ten drinks.

Yeah, he is not charged with the drunk driving or anything, just with giving her drinks while she was already drunk(Unless my reading is bad today). I probably should have clarified that a bit instead of just copy pasting the link and such.

Granted, the bar should have done something to stop him. Bar's I've worked at, if for some reason a person is able to stay after being cut off (we usually just kick them out), anyone who gets that person a drink is then cut off and kicked out.

For those not aware, Hastings died in a car bombing after reporting to his wife that he had a huge story on corruption and breaching rights in government. He claimed to be followed as well prior to dying in what was quickly named an 'accident' of him driving against a tree, despite camera footage showing his car exploding before even touching said tree.

DHS wants armoured vehicles for use against occupy and other protests.
The only reason they need such a vehicle is if they assume they need to go against a large group of violent people.
This is either them preparing for a lot of bad stuff going to happen soon(tm), or them being incredibly paranoid of normal citizens and peaceful protests.
Either way, not good.

Hunh, when Canada got that for OPP TRU teams and RCMP ERT teams, they were pretty specific about it being for counter-terrorism, hostage rescue, drug raids, etc. etc.
So you know, the kind of people that are almost guaranteed to be violent.

Well technically our police have already had armored vehicles for a long time now, for the same reasons Sinful just mentioned. At least the larger police departments have had them as far back as the 80's. Armored vehicles are also very useful for disaster relief since they are made to travel through things normal vehicles can't.

Aye, earthquakes and floods do leave a lot of destruction those kind of vehicles can move through easily. Certainly a useful asset for police departments to have. What DHS wants em for, not so much.

One of those groups listed on the form is a known white supremacist group, I don't agree with including occupy as a possible domestic terror group though. The article is rather heavily slanted as well so it's difficult for me to take either side.

Yeah, even as someone who probably agrees more or less with motherjones' politics, I would not trust it as a legit news source in a lot of cases
I have no doubt that the facts are more or less there, but they're known for cherry picking what they want to talk about to slant it their way. I mean, I'm pretty sure they don't even deny it.
