I understand that we have to be tolerant of the religion of others...
And I can only assume that the WBC hasn't technically done anything illegal...
But this is one group I wouldn't feel bad for if an unfortunate accident happened to them.
I mean, I would never wish harm on others, but if something bad were to just happen to befall them...

So, apparently Obama Administration is claiming that Federal law takes precedent over State law in the case of Marijuana.
This means that it's pretty much illegal to have pot no matter what, prescription or not, if I'm understanding it correctly.
However, there is some hope:
That is a petition, created back on September 22nd, which basically states that Marijuana should be legalized and regulated in a manner similar to alcohol.
If you're too lazy to check it out, just know that as of right now, it's at @52,250 signatures. It only needed 5,000 for it to be looked at and considered.

As far as I'm aware, if it says the feds cover it in the constitution (Or related documents, such as supreme court rulings), then federal authority supersedes state. Any power not expressly granted to the federal government becomes the right of the state to do with as they see fit. Of course, I do not know much about law at all and could be very, very wrong on this. Also, I do not know where drug enforcement falls on the list of things the feds can screw with according to the constitution.

A news report from China involving a little girl being hit by traffic, and the utter indifference shown by all passers by. Not so much important news, as it is a culture shock.
The gist is. Hit by a van, ran over with the front wheels, stops, then continues to run her over again with the rear wheels. Pedestrians ignore her and leave in the road, where a second van approaches, slows down, but continues over her anyway. A passer-by finally takes note, but merely drags her off to the side and walks away.
Serious warning. The clip is grim and easily disturbing. The clip is dim and low res enough to hide any gore, but the nature of what's happening is clear to see.

I find I have a number of concerns with the idea of shooting a hole into space. I find that if your science sounds like it came from comic book terrorists you may want to reconsider your plan. Also consider other applications for the space laser, in the hands of less scrupulous people. THIS IS HOW THE WORLD ENDS.
