Yeesh, looks like we need to add "weather" to the "List of Things in Australia that Hate You and Want You to Die."

It's a pretty big list.

We've shortlisted it to "Everything forever", Alpaca.

To put any fears for my continued survival at rest...

Hmm, yeah, that would be easier and more accurate, wouldn't it?

Also, congratulations on your continued existence.

Ili, when I'm getting reports of a cyclone the size of the USA, I start to wonder if I'll be safe from it :p

"Queensland about to get hit by a cyclone that is bigger than Queensland" etc.

So y'know. But it only hit northern Queensland, so nothing of value was lost *shot*

Re: In today's news...

Wait, it can SNOW it Texas?

"Speaking of barren, icy wastelands: IT IS AS COLD AS A WARLOCKS BALLS IN DALLAS! The city, which is supposed to be playing host to nearly a million visitors this week, is for all intents and purposes shut down. People up north talk about us like we’re pussies because we freak out when we get an inch or two of snow. The reasons we freak out are A) we lack to infrastructure to navigate the snow (shovels, sand trucks, snow chains, patience, kindness) B) The news tells us specifically, in no uncertain terms to start freaking out. The treat it like the end times, and encourage us to resort to hoarding and survivalism. C) You can’t shoot snow and ice, which is the default way Texans would solve most problems. I mean you CAN shoot it, but it’s still going to be there long after you’ve run out of ammo (which is saying a lot in Texas)."

Ya, they inversed the snow on the continent. Snow on cacti and just cold towards the north. Seriously, what's up Mother Nature?

That is a silly case. Porn is always free on the internet, and stopping one website just makes two new ones pop up.

Good to see the judge decided it wasn't a real argument, anyone could see it wasn't but it's still good to see the official judges decide it isn't.

This is rather interesting. Forcing the internet upon a nation, pushing through the blocks of a dictatorship allows the people to gather and talk and access the world outside.

However at the same time allows less reputable folks speak to one another more easily.

. ;_;
Well this sucks. I had just gotten back into enjoying Redwall again, and the man was a great writer.

It's nice to be able to honor someone like that while their still alive and can know what it feels like to be appreciated. They just had the ceremony today.

A call from the President? Damn I couldn't imagine the Prime Minister calling me personally.

Re: In today's news...

It was more than just a call. It's awarded by the president personally, since the Medal of Honor is a pretty big deal.

Well yeah... but that's ceremony. As crazy as that would be, the phone call just seems so much more personal.
