The Limerick Thread.

Yesterday, some of the oh so humorous people of Rachel chat joined me for a sort of challenge, the Limerick challenge so to speak, and it was fun enough for me to try spread the idea to here. Keep in mind that Limericks under the same pattern should sound quite similar when read out, despite the rhymes and words all being different.

Here are the rules, when you post your Limerick it must be about the person who posted last, IE: the person above you. For me it'll either be a Limerick about myself, or when I made last night.

The pattern for each Limerick is A A B B A , As an example I'm going to post some examples from yesterday's face-off of Limericks for everyone to get a feel for it:

Orange And Magenta Potato:

There once was a potato of orange hue,
Who smelled somewhat of rotten poo,
So I whipped up my rebuttle,
Anything but civil or subtle,
And proceeded to cook him in my stew.

(I made this as a response to his turn, that's why there's the word "Rebuttle" present)

The Cocky Challenger

There once was a silly Opponent,
Of whom stupidity was the main component,
He challenged me to a duel,
Made himself look like a fool,
He was just a bit caught up in the moment.

Three court cases he's fled, gone away, he has flown.
In a flash he was gone,
Though he was back before dawn,
For the love of God, why can't you just leave us alone?

Ahh-hem.

Twins stay up to hear Santa's sleigh,
reindeer to nuzzle, and with toys they'll play.
But someone else slithers 'cross the floor,
shunning the chimney for the door.
Two funerals will be held the next day.

Hyuk hyuk, how was that, everyone?

It was pretty good, but it was supposed to be about the person above you, so keep that in mind next time you decide to take the stage.
