[WIP - Full] TS Agent

Currently converting all the work I've done into RPGMakerTrans Patch. I've done about %70 of the game's first branching point (Hainesburg route) so far. Once the Hainesburg route is complete I'll add a link.

Things to do:

Menu, Items, Etc - %100
Other location's NPCs - %60
RPGMakerTrans Conversion- %90 (Converting all of the above to RPGMakerTrans)

Just chiming in to let you guys know I'm still here. I've been immersing myself in all things japan this past year, translated jrpgs, manga, anime, etc just to try and gain some insight on how certain things are translated into english. I've made many breakthroughs, and I've been going back and re-analyzing my previous work fixing it up and trying to make it sound more like natural english rather than japenglish. I'm an OCD perfectionist so this has probably taken a lot longer than it should have, but I hope you guys will forgive me and I hope it will all be worth it once it's finally done.

Having a bit of trouble with a translation any help would be appreciated.

My Japanese is non-existent, so that's the best I could come up.
More context may have been needed. Such as, is the killer they are referring to dead or alive? That kind of stuff.

The killer is alive. And that's it for the context, just those 3 lines.

I was getting similar translations to yours "Even if it kills me, it can't be helped!?"
"Even if he dies, it won't change anything!?" "Even death won't save him!?"

The !? just really throws me off, and also whatever Kaoru said has to scare the the cat girl. The third option seems the best but it's an extremely loose translation and the !? doesn't make sense there.

Oh! So they were remarking how the dead person could never die. If it's something like that, the best outcome would be, 'A guy like that...can't even escape death!?'
That may be a little too straightforward....

I think they're talking about the murderer.

This sounds about right. Still the !? at the end confuses me. If the Na were Ne everything would make sense since it would mean Kaoru is seeking agreement, "that guy must die right!?"

As for more context, without spoiling too much, a senior citizen in the town was murdered by a well known towns person, who had a good reputation, and no one would ever have expected them to do something like this. This conversation takes place directly after the event, Kaoru and the townspeople are outraged by the senior citizens murder. The killer is still at large and has fled the town.

As memory stated, they could be talking about the old man, or they could be talking about the murderer it's hard to tell since I can't see anything that marks the topic.

I think that "!?" is some kind of question to Kaoru himself. Like: "I must kill him somehow" or "I have to find a way to kill him".

仕事上がりに= to finish the job (of getting drunk)???

I'm sure that is wrong, and I've tried breaking it down but I can't make sense of it.

ああいう= That sort of / like that

飲みっぷりの良い人に = To a good person's drinking style / The drinking style of a good person by

無理矢理 = force / against one's will

I imagine Kaoru is panting b/c she is having H thought's about drinking "something" by force?

The first one is just the guy saying how it's the best to end work with a glass (to drink).

As for the second one, I don't know the context of the game but after translating lewd dialogues every day I'm pretty sure she's talking about how it'd be great to be forcibly violated by a man who can drink well... hence her panting...

"Being forcibly (violated) by a man who can drink like that (would be amazing) ... Haa, haa..."

If you do a Google search for "死んでも仕方ないよな" you'll find that exact phrase crops up on a number of Japanese websites, which makes me think it's probably somewhat idiomatic. That would mean it can't necessarily be translated just by breaking down the words and their meaning.

Yatsu = Guy/Slave/Servant... depends on the context. Feels like "guy" is the right choice here.

One of the places I found it in a google search was a tweet responding to a news story about someone who'd died and killed his passengers whilst driving a motorbike with no helmet or license... so, "A guy like that is better off dead!" seems more fitting.
