Gameplay is broken into two major parts; direct combat and overworld actions. Direct combat is your standard turn-based rpg combat which yields EXP and occasional item drops. Because the theme of the game is escaping, direct combat will only serve to increase alertness of the fort, meaning even more patrols and enemies.
Overworld actions are all based on sneaking around the fort. Aisha can interact with non-combat NPCs and certain guards. Guards with hearts yield h-scenes. Some with a "..." will give info and not care about her escape. Aisha can hide herself using a skill that lets her sneak past guards. She also has an assassin skill when she sneaks up behind these guards. Assassination also yields EXP and items, but raises alert level. Finally, if she's spotted, some guards can be seduced, allowing her to continue in exchange for an h-scene. H-scenes and seduction are tied to an invisible lewd system which will influence which of the multiple endings you get. Same with number of assassinations. Clearing the game without alerting or killing also yields a different ending. Normal mode has 3 ending while hard mode features an additional two for 5 total.
