RPG RPG Maker [Shinji62] Fan Fantasy: Episode I v1.03

Hello everyone.
I'd like to present my first game ever, Fan Fantasy: Episode 1.
It features parodies of different characters from different mediums. Such as anime, western comic books, and video games.

The game revolves around the journey of a young man who just turned 18, and is exploring the world.
You do this by completing requests from the local guild and various others who need it. As well as shutting down the local brothels(You can also pay and use them before you shut them down).
You are also trying to recruit as many women as possible to live with you. So that you can have sex with them whenever, and however many times, you want. There are some women you can only have sex with once, and because of this, every time you bang a woman, you'll get a picture. These pictures are used to replay scenes, and will be used for something important later in the game. So, be sure to collect them all.

The first episode features 17 women, 19 H scenes, 2 dungeons, and 2 towns. All of the episodes(Currently planned to be 5) will feature 136 women, 8 towns, and 9 dungeons.

The game was made in RPG Maker, because I have no idea how to program. So, be warned, I guess.
All the art was done by me. I know I'm not the best artist in the world, you don't have to tell me you think it's terrible. I made this game to help improve my skill, so it changes a little throughout the game as I get more practice. I tried to make each character styled to be at least similar to their original medium. I've attached an example of each, so you know what to expect.

Let me know what you think, or if there is anything you'd like to see in later episodes, except characters, I already have them all planned out. I'll confirm whether a character is planned or not if you ask though. Also, if you find any bugs, let me know, and I'll fix them right away.
Anyway, hope you enjoy my first game, and will look forward to Episode 2.

I just started it, so I can't say much, but I'm digging it so far. Only three things I can really comment on so far, as I'm still getting it on with Gwen. lol

1.

Pro = I like the bantering between the narrator and the player. I really like games that do that. It can lead to some interesting dialogue.

2.

Pro = I don't know how often you've done it since I'm still at the beginning, but the movement of the pictures in-between lines of dialogue is rather amusing.

3.

Con = Maybe it's just with Gwen here, but I don't care for the "traditional" English porn dialogue of hers. I've never found the, "put your gigantic throbbing cock in my pussy!' , kinda thing very appealing. But, maybe that's just me.

1. I was afraid of what people would think of this. I'm glad you like this too!
2. I try to do it for at least one part of each scene.
3. To be honest, I'm not sure what else to put for the dialogue. All the h-games I play are in japanese, so I'm just going with what I know.
I'll do my best to vary it as much as possible though.

I wasn't really sure where it should go. It said anything with a demo should go here with the incomplete tag, so that's what I did.
If any mods think it belongs in Under Construction, then please move it.

I believe I've done everything in the demo and I gotta say it leaves me interested.

It might take me awhile to get used to the melding of art styles though.

Awesome, I'll continually update here then.
The demo ends after you recruit your first party member. Then there's one side quest you can do. After that, you can do the repeatable scenes in your house.
I'll be updating this version of the demo to the complete version of this first town in a day or two. And hopefully the next town will be ready in a week or so. With more than twice the content too.

The majority of the characters are either comic or anime style.
After the game opens up, you'll have more free reign to just collect characters from styles you like too.

I took a look at it. If it was not for the American Comics look this would be a great game in my book. Only problem is I really hate the whole American Comics they just plain suck.

Other than that it appears to be a very playable game.

The Under Construction section was made for community made games. If you're looking to find other artists and programmers to work on a game, then it goes there. If you're working on the game yourself and just presenting it to us, then it stays here.

I hope you plan on removing random encounters from the game. Your designed maps are large enough to place roaming enemies. If you dont plan on removing them, reduce the encounter rate. It's annoying as hell.

Plan on making a skip-text button. Your H-scenes are way too long.

Artwork is not the best, but not bad either. Just remember quality of quantity. 60+ women + CGs is quite a lot for one game/one person.

I already set it to 1 in 30 steps, but I'll decrease it to 1 in 40 for the next version. I may implement roaming monsters, but that would increase development time by quite a bit. So, I wont add that until the end, if at all.

If you mash on enter, scenes are only 30sec to 1min long, I really don't think that's too long. I also feel it defeats the purpose of the game to just hold ctrl the entire time.

I'm aware. I plan on being in development for at least a year, if not more. By the end, the CG should be better too, since I'll have that much more practice xD

Bumping, because I've updated the Demo with another scene, and various fixes.
It's now the complete first town of the game.

This game was awesome. I am a huge fan of the art style too, sometimes it is nice to have a break from Japanese art.

I really enjoyed the dialogue and the fact you put an anal scene in (more of those!)

Looking forward to seeing where this project goes from here!

I just want to say that I really enjoyed the little first bit (in v.04?) so far.

Only downside was that I felt like I was spending more time in combat than I wanted to, to the point where I tried to avoid spending time on the map as much as possible. But this is basically a slightly more nuanced version of the same "please reduce encounter rate" request.

Glad you've enjoyed the demo!

Hmm, I see. I've set the encounter rate to 1 in 40 steps, but I suppose it's still random. Any lower, and there would be too little to be able to get the munnee or items needed, without having to run around in circles for hours.
So, I'll start work on making the enemies visible on the map, and put it into the next version.

Try describing the scene and using just a little bit of dialogue. If you need reference, try the RPG maker game Harem, by ker. It can be found either in this forum or in quite a few others. If you can't find it, pm me and I'll hand you a link to the threads.

Also, you could try some good text games, like Corruption of Champions by Fenoxo. Sure, this game is nothing like the game you have here, but what you want to see isn't the content of the game, but how the sex scenes are described. Anyway, that is just my opinion. Keep up the good work.

It was a cool start! I too love that breaking of the fourth wall type game. It makes the player feel more involved.

1: I really like that you made it not necessary to grind the random encounters to be strong enough for bosses.

2: However, I found the difference in money/exp that bosses and random's give means that you would have to grind for a LONG time to see any sort of difference.

3: Map size for the sake of map size isn't a good thing. The town is FAR larger than it needs to be, with lots and lots of empty space. Same thing with most of the shops, it's a huge room with almost nothing inside.

4: The most frustrating point for me was again with the map size, when I was climbing the tree and the floors just felt like they were intended to make it longer. I would go for smaller floors with maybe a slightly tricker path to follow (possibly even an event where he can fall out of the tree?) And not just huge expanses of green to cross.

5: I'm also not super interested in the "oh yeah gimme more" type dialogue during H scenes. I'd go for a longer description of what's happening physically, and maybe some characters like the sex more (Like Gwen?) but they shouldn't all be like that.

Those were just nitpicky, I really enjoyed the not having to grind, the art, and the dialogue! Keep it up!

First of all, let me clarify I like what this game has to offer so far. Since I can't draw or program I really appreciate anyone who develop games for none profit purpose.

With that said, I prefer Japanese anime style over Western but that's just my personal preference. I thought maybe you could add some kind of journel somewhere down the line to explain who those characters are (Since you plan to have a lot of characters from different anime, comic or games, probably not everyone know who they are to begain with). Since your game already has some 4th wall breaking (the chat between the MC and Narrator, by the way I found some of their line funny) I don't think those I out of place.

And I agree with thswherizat. The map, especially the town map are way too large for what is needed. When there's practicly nothing to do and you just need to hold B and direction button for a minute to get out of town, it makes the game needlessly annoying. Also, I felt some of the description doesn't fit the current environment in the game. For example when MC enters Annie Hughes' house, I really don't felt she's much richer then the other resident in the village. She has a piano and decoration, but her house is also mostly empty and with the same stone wall and wooden floor. Not a huge problem, it just felt weird.

But don't let my opinion discourage you, and keep up the good work.

I have just played this and i really enjoyed and liked the interactions between characters and the choices you can make now i cannot wait for the next update for this keep up the good work.
