Anders: Oh, you don't know the story behind the robes? You know how strict things are in the Circle, right? Of course you do. Well, the robes make quick trysts in the corner easy. No laces or buttons. You're done before the Templars catch on.
Also Anders: This place is a death trap! If I have to step into the bushes to answer a call of nature, you're coming with me! And in the Dalish elf Origin, if you go behind the mirror, down the tunnel, there's a strange statue that says this when you examine it: A strange statue commemorating the emergence of, and the short lived trading relationship with, Dwarves who dug too high and too frugal and struck elves... And the Original quote: "Moria! Moria! Wonder of the Northern world! Too deep we delved there, and woke the nameless fear." |

"I don't like threats, I don't like bullies, and I don't like you!"
"Fear exists for one purpose: to be conquered" "Ever since my first day on the job as a Starfleet Captian, I swore I'd never let myself get caught in one of these Godforsaken paradoxes. The past is the future, the future is the past, it all gives me a headache." "Mind melds... the last time I heard the words "my mind to your mind", I had a headache for two weeks." - Captain Janeway "If we don't get more power to the warp drive we're all going to have to get out and push!" - Paris "You were working for her, Seska was working for them, was anyone on that ship working for me?" - Chakotay "'Impossible' is a word that humans use far too often." - Seven of Nine "Please state the nature of the medical emergency." "All of us have violent instincts. We have evolved from predators. Well, not me, of course. I've been programmed by you predators." "The Borg: party-poopers of the galaxy." - The Doctor (EMH) "Your uniform is very... informative." - The Doctor, to Seven of Nine "You're a woman, Seven." -- The Doctor "Is that an observation or a diagnosis?" -- Seven of Nine "Small talk is a vital dating skill. It helps to establish a rapport with your companion." -- The Doctor "Perhaps there's something to be said for assimilation after all." -- Seven of Nine "Do you know what a Vulcan mind meld is?" -- Tuvok "It's that thing where you grab someone's head..." -- Crewman Suiter "Me, get up in front of people and perform? I don't think so." -- Chakotay "Come on, Chakotay. There must be some talent you have that people would enjoy. Maybe I could stand with an apple on my head and you could phaser it off." -- Janeway "Sounds great. If I miss I get to be captain." -- Chakotay "We need to talk about this...I think we need to define some paramaters...about us." -- Janeway "I'm not sure I can...define peramaters. But I can tell you a story, an acient legend among my people. Its about an angry warrior who lived his life in conflict with the rest of his tribe, a man who couldn't find peace even with the help of his spirit guide. For years he stuggled with his discontent, but the only satisfaction he ever got came when he was in battle. This made him a hero among his tribe, but the warrior still longed for peace within himself. One day he and his war party were captured by a neighboring tribe, lead by a woman warrior. She called on him to join her, because her tribe was too small and weak to defend itself from all its enimies. The woman warrior was brave, and beautiful, and very wise. The angry warrior swore to himself that he would stay by her side, doing whatever he could to make her burden lighter. From that point on her needs would come first; and in that way, the warrior began to know the true meaning of peace." -- Chakotay "Is that really an ancient legend?" -- Janeway "No...but that made it easier to say." -- Chakotay

-Treetrunks A creepy episode, and a line I'd hope to never hear again ever. "I'm helping you by tempting this guy with my body." "It's not a guy, Treetrunks. It's a snake armed, ruby brain beast." "Even brain beasts get lonely, Finn."

OLD SCHOOL. “If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. I'll always be with you.” “It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words, but rather short, easy words like, "What about lunch?"” “If the person you are talking to doesn't appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.” “Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.” ~ Winnie the Pooh

Oi, I'm having a bit of a problem. I can't decide which is better: "Do not mistake continuity for predictability" OR "Do not mistake predictability for continuity" Looking for some opinions here. Do you guys like the first one, the second one, neither? Do either of them actually make sense? Yeah, random, I know. I have random thoughts.

I was thinking about this for a little bit. The message I get is a pretty cool one. Basically no matter how predictable the world may seem, you never really know whats going to happen tomorrow. That makes the world sound kinda exciting with new adventures on the horizons and to always be ready in case anything changes tomorrow.
I have to admit at first I thought I only got that message from one of them but when I thought about it both kinda gave me the same impression. Still, I like "Do not mistake continuity for predictability" better because it highlights how you can't predict what's going to happen tomorrow a bit better. I kinda got the same idea from the other one but it took me more wierd, confusing logic to get there.

The first one is a supportive statement, telling people that just because a story goes the way it's supposed to doesn't mean it's wrong. The second is a statement of derision, telling people that a story doesn't always have to take the obvious route. So it really depends on which of the two you're going for. I imagine they both have their uses.

"You had your chance to be afraid before you joined my beloved Corps! But, to guide you back to the true path, I brought this motivational device! Our big green style cannot be defeated!"
"The Chief is gonna jump in this tank, roll across the bridge, and blow up any inhuman son-of-a-bitch dumb enough to get between him and the Prophet of Regret! Pull yourself together, 'cause you're going with him." "When I joined the Corps, we didn't have any fancy-schmanzy tanks. We had sticks! Two sticks, and a rock for the whole platoon—and we had to share the rock! Buck up, boy, you are one very lucky marine!" "Usually, the good Lord works in mysterious ways. But not today! This here is 66 tons of straight-up, H.E-spewing dee-vine intervention! If God is love, then you can call me 'Cupid'!" ---- Sergeant Johnson, the beginning of "Metropolis" on all the different difficulties "Dear humanity, we regret being alien bastards, we regret coming to Earth, and we most definitely regret the Corps just blew up our raggedy-ass fleet! " ---- Also Sergeant Johnson |

Johnson does have some good quotes. I've also enjoyed Buck's quotes whilst playing as him in ODST (and his voice in Reach for firefight mode). Ah Nathan Fillion.

Anybody notice how the Auntie Dot firefight voice likes to tell you obvious things like:
