Anya found herself waking up in her tent near the road after a couple of days travel from Melior, city of wonder, which was on the fringes of her homeland. It was early in the morning, the sun had just risen, and she felt refreshed after a good night's sleep. She had managed to make camp with a few passersby, mercenaries from the looks of them, that offered protection in numbers for them all, and the group she'd camped with were mostly already awake from the sounds of it just outside, as they had 5 in total, and she heard 3 or 4 talking, as the smell of breakfast had brought her out of her tent.
"Ah, morning lass. Hope you're hungry, cuz if you're heading into them woods, you'll need it," the older leader of the group said, Grenn he called himself, if Anya remembered rightly.
Looking around, Anya saw the two younger women of the group sitting nearby, one fiddling with her bow, while the other was sharpening her longsword, both sitting next to the campfire while Grenn stoked it. The other two, a couple in their late 20's to early 30's, were still in their tent it seemed, though it was to be expected, considering the noise that Anya had heard from their tent earlier the previous night just before sleep had taken her.
"I really wish you'd reconsider going alone though. Those woods can be dangerous, especially if you get to the old ruins in them," Grenn said after setting the little frying pan that had some bacon on it, to the side of the fire.
