Re: 淫靡の国のアリス

So I just realised the game's demo is, like, only 6mbs lighter than the full game, wonder what they actually cut off (would be funny if it was 6mbs of bugfixes, tho, 1.2 and above has a bonus costume when you respawn at the asylum), would be funny if that was that.

Also with the 1.31 update hitting dlsite, I've come bearing a gift =o

And now a mini-review (scratch that, it's actually hefty, I can't control my typing) based on my experience up until now (school section).
So so so...
If I were to rank this game out of 5, I'd give it a 5 out of sheer goodwill, hahaha. It does a lot, and a lot of it hits my tastes. And even if the game isn't exactly for you, at the very least, I'd give it a solid 3~4.
The game is by no means bad, and the author patches it pretty fast.
The truest downside to the game is... Boy, do you get lost in that game.
Of course, not being able to read japanese is a big obstacle, but even with some understanding, some parts can be really confusing. As suning pointed out, the mystery and weirdness and confusion might be intended to fit the theme, but it can be strenuous. Shoutout to the hotel mystery, god, that 2nd secret passage *on a side wall* was just old school "interact with the whole room" level of old school design.
The game as a whole really doesn't hold your hand.
While it's generally pretty easy to get to new areas (just go to previous places that opened up, look around a bit), everything else is trial and error, and some statuses are really just there and depending how willing you are to fight everything, you might even simply run past some (like the fairy transformation, or the police guys having a genderbend gun attack (that they keep even after they're turned into females!)). Also what I can only assume to be a PMS status in the roulette fight at the casino (I mean, it's a moon icon, and there's a tampon item in the game so...).
Speaking of fighting everything : ennemies hurt in this game!
It's actually a good thing, because we get avoid completely curb stomping everything after a couple levels (even when you get your hands on the submachine gun at the top of the mafia hideout (strong weapon + attacks twice!), but at the same time money runs a bit dry, particularly early on.
There's also a lack of selling option (or at least, I haven't found an NPC that does buy our things) so stuff like the gold found at the maid mansion just...
Sits there. And dieing in a dungeon cuts your funds in half(ow).
It makes the early game really rough, when you might actually want to buy some gear/healing items. Thankfully, once you get the Vorpal Sword,
things get much smoother, because maleslashing male ennemies reduces their tendency to attack and their attack power drastically.
But enough nitpicking!
A solid game with fun mechanics and gimmicks, and you don't often get to turn half a game's ennemies into girls. There's also a lot of interactions with map NPCs depending on wether you're male/female/crossdressing, or if you're fighting a map NPC and you turn them into a girl and it stays (or you don't and they stay normal) after the fight.
From what I can understand of the dialogue (because idle banter and game menus are the best thing I understand in japanese, which is why I still get stuck on not-so-idle banter), it's generally pretty fun. Human NPCs will rejoice, be disappointed or indifferent to their new forms, if you buy a night with the maid at the brothel while crossdressed, she'll be surprised to see a female customer, until she realises what's going on, lots of fun stun like that.
It also doesn't shy away from some... Darkers tones at times. Like the whole outcome of the fight with Luther (even if he was an ass who put traps just to mess with us). Whoever ends up a girl gets a pretty creepy end, and I gotta say, I felt bad for Lee at the tournament after the fight was over...
And, of course, it's the circle's 1st game, running on and older-ish version of RPG maker (only 4 save slots is a bit painful...), so props to them on that!

Now I'm just going to mention stuff I'd like to see if they made another game (which I hope!) :
1/ Emotions. Admittedly that one might be to blame on how the side illustrations are implemented in the game (they're all different, single pictures. Yes, every underwear combo is a different picture) which would require doubling the number of pictures just for one other facial expression (it's already the case with the breast expansion status...) and adding more would get pretty insane fast but... You know, keeping that detached, not-very-impressed expression for the whole game with all the things going on...
I wouldn't mind seeing those dozens of underwear combos go away for more expressions instead. The only exceptions being the full body transformations like the fairy one (and while the doll one is fitting... c'm'ooooon).
2/ Speaking of full body transformations! I'd love to see states get more "focus episodes", rather than just sorta randomly thrown around. Sure, the variety is nice, but some status are just "there". Why are there cursed dolls at the casino's dungeon and nowhere else? Why can that one ennemy do a chocolate state that does nothing? And did you know? There's petrification in that game! And mind control! And getting caught by tentacles!
Too bad, they're just status that prevent you from acting (well, mind control has us attack ourselves but... you get the idea). There's also the dozen of arousal states... A case of stretching it too thin, basically. So much to get afflicted with, so few to show.
Man, I sound like an ass now! I need to stop getting so invested in my doujin games.

...Oh, and, I forgot, another thing. More game over scenes? Or just boss fight win scenes. I guess the tournament section made up for that but the maid mansion and casino bosses left me wanting more D= (particularly the casino)

i did read everything you wrote and yeah i completely agree with you also thanks for the link too
yeah i saw the other stats effects that never showed up but think about how much drawing would need to do them, maybe he did want at first but then saw the work it would be and then gave up, i miss specially my most favorite transformation which is Age regression since his previous alice story he did one i was on hype that this game would have well at least my second favorite which is doll is there. speaking on game focusing on stats effects there is this one from the trial the game doesn't look that good but damn there is going to have a LOT of transformations mostly inanimated tho.

Re: 淫靡の国のアリス

I appear to have gotten myself stuck in the church dungeon.

If you don't know how to access it, what I did was this:
1. Cleared past the Casino (and the Hotel mystery too).

2. Got the wig from the Casino.

3. Spoke to the bald head in the slum area. Gave the head the wig. Head mentioned something about a dungeon in the church (probably the trigger to allow entry after that).

4. Went into the church building in the day, turned right into a corridor, then went into a room at the top. There is a nun in the same corridor (more on her later).

5. Interacted with the centre of the bookshelf.

6. That's it, you're in.

As for how I got trapped in there:
1. After climbing a lot of stairs, you reach a door at the end of the first dungeon area. You can't open it until you cleanse the impurities in the first area, i.e. remove all of the zombies in the area. (I don't think they respawn after being killed.)

2. To do this, you need the same white ash from earlier. The nun in the corridor will convert them into anti-zombie... something. It's a 1:1 exchange ratio.

3. If you need to get out of the dungeon because you don't have any of the anti-zombie stuff, in the room at the top of the first area (the same room with the door), there is a flower to the left that will teleport you out for free.

4. Anyway, I managed to get out, get what I needed, and then go back in and kill all of the zombies.

5. Unfortunately, once I'd done this and proceeded to the next area, I discovered that the next door wouldn't open if the player character was female.

6. I tried going back to the flower to teleport back out, but that option appears to no longer be available once you've progressed to the next area.

Any ideas? The only one that comes to mind is getting myself killed by the trash mobs and losing half of my cash in the process. Painful, but I don't see any other way out.

I did the same thing. My way out was to reload a previous save before I'd killed the zombies and get the flower to teleport me out. (I tend to save every few minutes, which comes in helpful sometimes!)

I also managed to get stuck in the Casino - went through the dungeon again after clearing it, and then in the room at the end there was an invisible block stopping me from being able to return. That might be because I'd upgrade to the 1.3 version in between clearing it the first time and second time.

I save obsessively as well, but only having 4 save slots makes it kind of hard to manage saves. Guess I screwed myself over by overwriting my own save. And now it appears that I've wiped the whole dungeon clean of enemies. Oh well. Guess I'll have to redo everything from the end of the maid arc onwards.

Edit - Looks like they're aware of the issue, and working on it.

ver1.4で変更される点
一部マップの変更
各種バグの修正

ver1.4は近日公開される予定です。

Expect 1.4 very soon.

1. Changes to some of the maps.
2. Bugfixes (no details given).
3. Walkthrough / Hint text added.
4. More CG events.

If the nice person who uploaded 1.31 could reupload the new version at some point, that would be nice.

The thing is, it doesn't teleport you out any more after you've killed all the zombies (which I did). And after that I ended up killing all of the mobs in both areas, so I couldn't even die to respawn.

Thanks for uploading.

Re: 淫靡の国のアリス

1.4 is out on DLSite (and probably DMM too).

No uploads yet.

3 new scenes.

1.41 soon (tomorrow JST?).

Walkthrough is up.

Based on the walkthrough, the 3 new scenes appear to be for 3 new Bad Ends implemented in 1.4.

Re: 淫靡の国のアリス

I saw a question asked about how to sell stuff. You can sell things to the Pawn Shop in the Underground City. (Third Keystone Area)

Also, version 1.41 is up on both the English and Japanese DLSite (as well as DMM).

Added some tips about the 4th Keystone area, including a warning about a situation that can occur:

In the third part of the school scenario (4th Keystone area), you will switch bodies with a student. Do not change him into a girl before you enter the classroom! (Afterwards is okay if you want, but you will miss out on an H-Scene. More on that below...) You can't change him back, even with the proper potion. The teacher won't let you in as a girl as she doesn't recognize you, and you are stuck with no way to continue the game. (You get a Game Over if you are KOed in that body, so that won't work either.)

Complicated H-Scene: To get the last H-Scene from the school, you must never transform the student you switch bodies with into a girl, and you must give him the ring after you switch back. After you get the 4th Keystone, if you go back to the room where you switched back to your own body, you'll see an H-Scene. (They give a hint on the blog about this particular scene, but I found translating it made it confusingly vague.)

Warning: Never take the stone from the table unless you have saved beforehand. Taking the stone doesn't cause an official Game Over, but will leave you in an equivalent position. You become a garbled mess of pixels, you cannot access the menu, you can walk through the walls, but you can not leave the room. You also cannot put the stone back once you take it, and the only way to get things back to normal is to load a previous save.

Interestingly, grabbing the stone while in the other student's body causes only some of these effects to occur. You do not become garbled, and you can leave the room, so although you cannot access the menu and thus cannot save, you can still play the game with the ability to walk through walls, and the story will progress normally. This is most likely a bug.

If you look closely, once you have been through a door in this dungeon, the little hole in that door will be lit. To finish the dungeon, you must go through every door in the dungeon at least once so that every door is lit. This includes the doors in the first room, so you have to go through the first room at least three times to do this. Once you have been through every door in the dungeon, once you go through the door that sends you back to the first room again, you will finish the dungeon.

A tip: There is a switch to remove the spikes from the floor, but you will have to walk through spikes to reach it.

Re: 淫靡の国のアリス

A somewhat hypocritical question, but necessary ... can someone put the save please?
By the way and being something completely alien to this post. Someone by chance would not have the save of the game: Tower Gina? The one in this post is outdated and that post is well dead, so, I ask in this one that it looks more "alive".

Re: 淫靡の国のアリス

I'm stuck after the casino dungeon, and based on what I saw the next place should be the area to the left of the first train station with the first dungeon door and a black card guy to the bottom. However that area is blocked for me, unless I have the wrong place. Using version 1.3 if that matters.
