So recently I found out my hentai collection (Pics, CG Pack, the odd game or two) was taking up 5-6GB  Which made me think: "How does everyone else store their hentai?"

I keep my hentai on a flash drive (or whatever you call it in your area) and I don't have much security on it :/ I keep the folder hidden/invisible, and inside the main folder is highly layered so it's hard to find it all at once. I plan on encrypting it some time soon though.

Either way, I have to upgrade to different flash drive today, gonna get a 16GB one, that will last me a long time. ;)

I store mine in a separate hard drive... which contains about 700gb of hentai and 100 gb of porn. I make sure to keep that hard drive behind my other hard drives...

:eek:PERV:eek: hahahahahahaha

But yeah, I would personally suggest an external harddrive. You can get them for a decent price...but I'd hurry. The prices of harddrives are going up and up and up.

@Wazzup: Wow, that's more space then there even is on my laptop HDD

@Havokor: External HDD prices already have gone up where I am, I can't even find a 500GB one for under $100 >.< Just last month I had a chance to get one for $60 >.<

There's a reason for that...and why I said to get them now. Unless you're talking about an SSD, you're going to just see the prices go further and further up. The factory that makes a part, I think my buddy said the write head or something, is under like 30 ft of water. Supposedly there won't be any new ones produced until Q4 of next year. And yeah, I said THE FACTORY....one single f'n factory for a part one of the most crucial parts of a computer. >.>

But hopefully this whole thing will give rise to a new beast if SSDs make a move and lower their prices considerably. They'd be in position to make a lot of money off this.

*whistles* Can't deny that.

I bought my 1TB USB 3.0 HDD for like 80 bucks. I suggest you to check out slickdeals.net for deals.

5-6gb? Shit son, that's a poor amount of fapping material. I used to have almost a 1tb worth on its own external though I deleted much of that because of dupes/stuff I'd never get round to checking/loli etc... Though now it's back up to about 400-500gb since I've downloaded a fuckton of tentacle cg's/movies.

@Havokor: Yeah, SSDs are so epic *O* I really hope this does give rise to them... (To have two 512gb SSDs in a Sony latop, it would cost almost 3000 >.<)

@Wazzup: I might have to look into that if the prices are going to be going up more next year.

@SirOni: Yeah, I figured that after Wazzup's post XD The only thing I do get a lot of without worrying about space is hentai artwork and stuff. I have probably 10,000 pics so far, and I get almost a hundred more everyday XD
Hopefully someday I'll have the room to download actual hentai vids and games without worrying about space XD

Re: How do you store/protect your hentai?

I wouldn't recommend 2 SSDs in a laptop. I think a 60~80 gb SSD (for the OS) coupled with a 500gb + mechanical should suffice in terms of performance and cost. There really isnt any point in getting 2 SSDs, unless you REALLY care about transferring data quickly, but in all honestly, with the power of the Core i series, you can probably multitask with no problem. I run with a 80gb intel and 750gb secondary, and really I don't use much space for my SSD.

The predicted rise in price sounds like the incident with RAM sticks. I remember at one point RAM sticks had a huge leap in cost due to a shortage or something.

I hide mine on my main hdd (916gb) in an very deeply buried folder with a long series of inconspicuous names.

I actually hid it in a subfolder I made inside the deepest depths of a windows process, and then I just erase my history regularly.

Total size of my "collection" is about 50.5 gig, but I generally try to keep it clean by deleting the "meh" stuff, which means it grows slowly.

Yeah, I guess you're right. It would be cool to have just for bragging though XD
The desktop I've been thinking about getting has a 120GB SSD and a 1TB HDD, it would be my first computer with an SSD if I do end up buying it

Hiding stuff deep in folders is a good tactic, but I've noticed, at a certain point the file path is too long and Windows can't run games and stuff stored that deep. :/

Well if you do, you will LOVE the boot up time. My laptop boots and logs in the system in about 15~20 seconds. It is mad fast. I don't even bother putting it turn my computer to hibernation anymore (it eats up write cycles anyway. not much, but might as well preserve it as long as possible).

That is epic. I really wanna get that desktop now XD
BTW, if you're wondering which desktop I'm talking about.

Re: How do you store/protect your hentai?

That desktop is a little pricey for the specs. With the gig you are aiming for it should be around $1,500 or so? Try checking out cyberpower or ibuypower. They have more reasonable prices. You don't really need the i7 2600 unless you need crazy processing power. If you wanna save money, go for the i5 2500K (it pretty much destroys all 1st gen i7 series, or at least most). The PSU doesn't make much sense to me since it states that it supports SLI, but the motherboard itself doesn't support SLI so there really is no point in getting 800W.

Other than those gripes, I really like the case design, and the hardware looks pretty sweet. Just the price seems a little off.

If you've got the computer knowledge, you're much much better off buying it piece by piece and putting it together yourself. So many of those types of sites, like Alien Ware, will charge you normally at least 30-45% more just for the logo. If you have that knowledge, you can put together a great computer that can handle just about anything for about $1,200 using sites like

Yeah, the case design is what really draws me to that desktop. The motherboard kinda confuses me too
I probably would be doing some gaming on that desktop, that's why I want an i7. (Also just 'cus I want it to still be powerful in a few years XD)
Another one I've been looking at is Or I'd probably make some changes to them and add some more stuff if I got one of those.

I found a kit with the same case as the ODE and some of the same components for $900 :O But I don't have enough knowledge to get all the components working properly after installing them :/ I'm sure I could put it all together though, just not overclock it and stuff.

Thanks for the input BTW XD It's way off topic but really helps.

Re: How do you store/protect your hentai?

Oh ew, please don't get HP... they are terrible. My friend runs off an i5 2500k, which destroys my 1st gen i7 processor. The 3rd gen i series (ivy bridge) is really focusing on portability and power saving, and won't have a dramatic increase in processing power. If you have extra money to spend, then yeah, go for the i7. But if you want to have a good trade-off between power and price, I really recommend the i5 2500k. It will be a huge jump from whatever you have now. Honestly, you will be satisfied with the speed, even if you don't have the top of the line processor.

Re: How do you store/protect your hentai?

Mine's around 50g right now, next to the 40g or so of manga(AND NON-H MANGA ONLY)

They're all on an external HDD, I use a 150GB for traveling/keeping things I'm still playing or have yet to read purpose, with a 2TB hugeass one at home for keeping things I've gotten bored of reading but felt like I might dig it up again in the far future.

Though since I only got the 2 TB recently (which is huge .- . if I can find a 1TB one at smaller price I'll probably get that and merge the two), it's got less stuffs in there for now

If we include the stuffs I had to delete before I got my external HDD and was using a 80GB PC HDD, then my total amount of hentai (I don't keep real porn ' 3') is probably around 200-300GB now

(if I download and keep every manga I've ever read though, it might get up there too)

:/ Lol, I'm currently using an HP laptop and am saving for a >.< I would go with a different company, but no one else seems to have a laptop with the specs I want.

Thanks for the info, I tend to overlook the mid-range things like that. XD I probably will end up going with the i7 though since I do have the money, but if I need a good processor for less I will go with the i5. :D

BTW, I've been wondering, how does AMD stack up against Intel and Nvidia?

That actually sounds really well organized.
That's epic that you have one for travel XD

Speaking of organizing I should post an in-depth thing on how I organize my pics. It's turning into a full-time job XD

Re: How do you store/protect your hentai?

I'm on a private laptop of my own, so I just save it on my hard drive.

To make sure no one will see it, I hid it away in many folders on the off chance someone uses my computer.
