I use chiitrans2 myself. This works with most RPG Maker and Wolf games. It comes with the AGTH text hooker and can use translation websites like Google & Microsoft as well as translators running on your computer.

Before I get started, this is related to RPGmaker 2000 and yes, I'm under Japaneses locale. I've recently decided to upgrade to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8 and tried playing a game that correctly displayed Japanese text pre-update. The problem here is that the text comes out garbled like so. I've tried reinstalling the RTPs, but it didn't fix anything.

I'm wondering if it is a compatibility issue with Windows 8.1 or there's some other solution to this problem. VX and Ace works perfectly fine. I'm at a loss of what to do.

EDIT: Well, I went and installed the language pack for the 8.1 update and that seemed to fix everything. Odd that I didn't have to do it before.

you have the rtp right? in case there are two versions. write out wats in file game.ini

Is it possible for Aussies to access dmm.co.jp without using proxy or VPN?

If there isn't, don't worry, I already knew how to use proxy or VPN. It's just that using these are usually very slow for me, so I'd like to avoid it if possible.

Might be more that he's trying to run a Wolf RPG game, and no text is showing up.

If that's the case, the usual reason is not having your system set to Jap Locale.

If that's not the case...then I'm pretty well lost as well..

Yes, it is. Wolf.data RPG type games are not for me to turn on the subtitles JAP location and still do not have subtitles. I have Windows 7 64-bit

I also have another problem 9 out of 10 games crashes my problem with the sound. I do not know whether the errors in the game files or something with me

Did you try reinstalling the wolf rpg engine while in jap local?
