I think they kinda leaked that they're doing Eustia already. Some of their translators did some (not so) subtle hints at a poll on twitter or somewhere else.

Well, Rance was a given. It's popular, MG partnered with them and no cost for voice actors till they hit the remake of 03.
Majikoi would sell well as all ages and they could just buy the finished translations from the fanTL xD
FSN would sell because Fate franchise and the upcoming animes/movies, but would cost WAY too much.
Shin Koihime is something they should have done years ago.

Baldr series and Dies Irae (especially Dies Irae) are things we will never see non-fantranslated. WAY too much voiced lines/words/costs, even if both are so-called masterpieces.

And why the heck is White Album 2 on this list?!

That Otome(or is it Yaoi?) at the end of the list... well, let's just say I interpret it as "Shut up, damn SJWs an gimme ya money, bitches!" XDDD


Pretty solid list from MGs point of view, most of the stuff is data they can easily work with.

"no cost for voice actors " Is the big Plus in this Translation business.
The cheaper you can make it, the bigger chance is that the VN will get an translation :> How life works.

I hope you're right about the Eustia :> i really want to play it in english :>

I think it's more likely that Conjeuer and whoever he's working withs secret project is Eustia. This project has no ties with MG, though I won't be surprised if both J-list and MG end up selling the adult version if the secret project really is Eustia or any other h game.

As for White Album, as much as I don't care for it, its been hyped to hell in the English community. Even if you don't like it, a lot of people beg for it because the people who can actually read it praise it a lot, and it had an anime.

You can't buy the Majikoi translation. The original translator which the final product is 70% composed of is impossible to contact, making using that translation illegal. J-ast was looking to do Majikoi, but since they couldn't get the translation they stopped. The fan tl's who finished the game are really hostile to the idea of selling their work for mostly good reasons(it slows things down immensely, every time). So Majikoi going official is basically not going to happen ever.

Shin's way to expensive. If you think FSN is expensive then you have no idea how prices actually work when it comes to license agreements. Type Moon just doesn't care. If they wanted to go west they would pay for it themselves and not go through a 3rd party publisher that sells at most 2,000 copies per game.

Diabolik being the otome game that made the list is just funny. I'll leave it at that.

I wasn't going even going after license costs or voiced lines, just word count, but you're right. Shin would be waaaay too expensive, even when they would have done it at a time where koihime was hyped.

Going by Doddler(MG's main programmer) Haruka hasn't sold enough for Alicesoft yet so I doubt any of the clues are for Alicesoft titles, though Haruka is still doing well going by ratings so I expect something later in the year.
Also, remember that these are clues for the entire year so I doubt multiple clues actually apply for a single game.
So currently we know MG is going to get Imouto paradise 2(they accidentally announced it a tweet last year and deleted that tweet like 10 minutes later) and Orc Assault(the director of the company himself said we would get that, its a Morningstar game so short nukige with some gameplay).
So Imouto is sequel and Orc is a fantasy title, but I've seen a lot of guesses for the others. First, its continuations/sequels, not just sequels, so fandiscs of anything they currently have are possible. HD sounds like Sorcery Jokers do to how they end the clue(no joke) but that might have just been silly wording. I expect spirited to just to refer to something Kindread Spirits related like manga or hardcopies. They have treated hardcopies as major announcements before so that's a possibility.

When i looked for VNs, it was more of a "take what you can get"-mentality, so i was only looking at already translated ones.

Judging by what has happened since the last poll, this is pointless. I counted 13 moege on their announced games list vs. 3 nukige (Kuroinu, Imouto Paradise 2, Maggot Baits). There's definitely a massive amount of bias with their translators, because I refuse to believe ULMF, Hongfire, and other lewd oriented sites (including countless chans) are losing this hard. I think they should start looking to employ people with different tastes.

What exactly do you mean by losing this hard? The survey does not equal what is to be translated. It's to show interest and I'm going to tell you right now, nukige don't win this. If you look at the survey results of the last two you would see the standard big titles(Fate, Kanon, Baldr, Grisaia, Rance) win with a few special entries from the yuri or otome communities. I can't even think of a nukige that has been in one of the lists. The closest to nukige status was Shin Koihime or the Sonohana series.

Also, they have like 4 moege. No idea how you counted to 13 when only four really fall into that(Evangile, SukiSuki, Del Segno, and Hapymaher). Everything else falls into a completely different genre.

Hadaka is also a nukige so there's four. And it's not the translator's picking the titles(all but two are freelancers), its the Japanese companies and Mangagamer's personal in Japan that decide what comes over based on sales data and interest. Most of the current game's being worked on are a result of Steam, which did amazing for most titles that could be put on their. This lead to game's that weren't porn romps being picked since those actually sold but we still got 7 nukige last year even with that shift.

Note that nukige are their best sellers so they are going to release more. It's just that most of the nukige they got last year were either short and so were released quickly, or were basically done when announced. The first two cons they announce games at are probably going to have a long nukige at each.
