It looks like it will be a really long time.
As far as I can tell while he has finally finished the engine for the most part, he only has 2-4 enemies actually finished--of which we could expect around 30 depending on how far he wants to go with it

from what i see he's much done with the map, story writing and item stuff, also fighting mechanics,

what's missing are: many girls ("enemies"), npcs and bug fix

i would beat for a late summer maybe mid winter release (this year)
a christmas release would be a wonderful present to

the last one about EN2 specifically, (posted on the 25th), he's apologizing for the slow pace (pointing to his PC blowing up last month as one of the reasons) and saying he's stumped with how to handle animations for certain positions

at least that's my take; could be wrong!

Update. Seems to be talking about a bug he fixed (maybe?) having to do with the surfaces , and then goes on a tangent about sugar and diabetes, and how he is going to be cutting sugar out of his diet.

I was more basing it on how many enemies he has shown. The first game had like 16 enemies or something, so ide imagine for this nest one he wants at least that many, or more. I think he has 2-3 done right now, so its not going to be for a long time.
