I prefer to go wild on the porn. if your game works without the porn then why bother having it? though its true sometimes the smut gets in the way of gameplay.

if i have the time i plan on making a sfw game with the sprites of this game i just released. but the gameplays gonna be more tight. is gonna be a 2hp game like mario.

Because some people actually enjoy a story to go with their porn, giving the characters life and a personality beyond meatpuppets, making everything happening to them more impactful. Why would you NOT want to have that?
I also think that as long as the material is intended for emotionally mature adults nothing speaks against giving a work a fitting erotic touch, yes I do like rule 34 a lot.

Moreover, it makes me feel jolly when I hear things like 'I wanted to see the naughties, but didn't want the poor heroine to lose, y u do this!' or 'Feels in my porngame? Wtf!'

you can have great characters and still have a game be bangtastic.
it's just there are two main audiences for h games and some prefer porn to gameplay. I have a guy asking for a full save in my latest game when my game is nothing without the gameplay.
like, a full save wouldnt do anything for him because there's no gallery.

As for people asking for saves.. eeeh, been there, done that, its a constant struggle with the difficulty screw.

If he continues to complain i'll just tell him about the level skip, but it's disappointing if they give up, i spent a lot tweaking the levels to make them fun and diverse, i didnt think someone would complain about there being too many puzzles

I'd personally distinguish between what means quality and what doesn't.
More and more people believe making a porn game would make their bank account growing just because it's "porn", no matter what they put into it: wrong (yet there are many questionable examples proving the opposite). Imho it takes more than just a bunch of hentai CGs to make a "game".
As much as it takes more than just a few lines to make a story.
Problem with gaming in general is many people focuses the most on the "what it's about" rather than on the "how does it feel" part: the so-called "gaming experience", so to speak.
Does it provide you with any? Is that any FUN to play? If it does it would be worth because it means "quality", no matter if it's porn or not... ^^

they did end up beating it properly though i did tell them the level skip button. now it's done i wish id done more signposting in the game...actual signposting, like put signs up saying stuff cause if i hadnt said it on the product page i dont think people would know the 2nd part of the game takes place in a sweets factory.

not sure what to do with myself today... just sorta lying on the couch

That's all part of the learning curve though, right, with every mistake and "should have", you get better and better! If you get discouraged, just look at your first work and see how far you've come, it can be astounding if you don't notice...

Watch animu :3, there's actually some decent series this season outside of the usual star one.

ah, i forgot that one but yeah im watching it too...talking about boukun not the mouth pussies.

It seems my chances at getting a lot of sales for this game have been dashed by a negative review so I'm actually attempting something i havent done before... continuing to work on a game after release (not counting bug fixes)

I hadnt gotten any negative feedback from testers or patrons, so i can at least put it down to that.

Trust me, the more you dumb your game down, the dumber people will come about in the end. I used to just delete 'How download game?' comments from my blog, but recently stopped because.. why bother, and people might as well see what I gotta deal with.
