You mentally sigh as you position yourself just right and let go, landing silently on your feet and staying crouched down. Looking ahead you see the entire group bunched up ahead of you just enough that it makes your current plan perfect. They move slowly and methodically, and when the goblin monk turns around you make your move. You quickly prowl close to the group and focus on your lust, building up the chaotic hellfire within you until you’re right up on the goblin monk. You have Hal to your left, Lipper to your right, the elven leader at the center-front with the dwarf and other elf beside him. Beside the dwarf on her left is Bo, the scimitar wielding human, and to the other elf’s right is the red oni. Jin, the half-orc, and the two goblins are closer to the center of the group, and with Lyra out cold behind you things couldn’t be more perfect. You gather the power, stand up, spit out your pacifier, and roar in triumph and climax as your lust explodes outside of your body. Each of their faces is priceless as they turn in shock, and the monk elf throws a punch at you, but it’s much too late. In a pink hellfire your lust explodes and engulfs everything around you in a pink fire more brilliantly than the lightning whip wrapped around your right arm. Each of them screams in agony and stumbles backwards as the eruption of pink hellfire cascades from out of your body and engulfs them, burning the walls, the floor, their armor, weapons, and their flesh. You see little black chars along each of their armors and small bits on their faces as they shield themselves, to no avail, from your burst of lust. The attack itself is over in moments, but you can hear them bellow and howl in pain as your hellfire continues to burn them – you ready yourself into a defensive stance as they begin to recover from your attack. Scanning each of them you see that the goblin archer was hurt the most by your blow and then the half-orc. You pop your pacifier back into your mouth and figure taking out either of them, especially the half-orc considering he has healing magic, would be wisest, though you don’t know what items or abilities each of them have at their disposal. If Lyra is any indication they could all be packing healing and magic potions for just such an occasion.

Good start. Alright think fast: In front of us are some training mats, weight lifting equipment, punching bags, and of course some weights. Center of the room has a small stage with some poles. Back and right hand side of the room has open space, and the left side of the room has a big stage for dancing. Can I use any of this to my advantage?

Foot-Fighting only skill): Use lust to increase the damage of your kicks proportional to the amount of lust you have. The higher the lust the more damage is added to the attack. Lust is expended upon usage. Can choose how much lust to use, but at least 10 is needed.
C4. Passionate Release (Expels all Lust): Caster harnesses and gently expels all lust from the body, inducing a climax… without the mess. Drains the caster, decreasing chance to hit and dodge by a minor margin and leaves caster physically weaker, but appears more charming to those around her. Lasts 3 minutes.

E3. Pole Dancing: Requires 15 MR or 30 Lust and also requires a pole (or something similar) nearby to utilize. Sends forth a burst of pure magic that homes in on all enemies and deals minor to mild damage and knocks them down for a single turn. Single use.
E4. Line Dancing: Requires 25 MR or 50 Lust and bestows Colette with rapid MR regeneration and gives a minor magical damage increase. Lasts 5 minutes.
E5. Amazonian Veil Dance: Requires 25 MR or 50 Lust and bestows Colette with a mild damage bonus and +1 skill bonus to all offensive weapon skills (2/4 Hand-to-Hand becomes 3/4, etc.). Lasts 5 minutes.
E6. Lap Dance: 25 MR or 50 Lust required to use. Drains mild health and MR of target, target instantly loses an action turn, gives mild health boost. Lasts five minutes.

Magical Sensitivity (Threads): Thanks to an experiment done by Jazra you can now see the magical threads that are the blood of magic in the world, and can possibly manipulate them.

Magical Sensitivity (Demonic Lust): As a side effect of the ritual you underwent at Deidra’s you now are able to see the lust let off by demons, namely succubi and even your own, as a reddish-pink aura.

Source of Energy: Magical monsters and beings that feed from your essence (blood and sexual secretions) gain more energy than normal from you and also suffer a short term power boost.

Essence of Absorption: Thanks to receiving the “essence” of countless individuals many, many times, you have discovered a peculiarity about yourself. You have a certain trait of magical beings and monsters that allows you to absorb the magical energy from sexual secretions, and maybe even blood (?), from people to give yourself some energy and restore your MR. Also, it accelerates your healing slightly and you find you can now sustain yourself wholly off of the essence of others similar to magical beings.

Dancer: Dancing comes naturally to you and, while it may not have uses in combat or when talking to someone, you find you can learn dances by seeing others dance or learning descriptions of dance.

Mental Quickness: You're a quick thinker when it comes to solving problems and smart to boot! If you're in a pinch you can easily notice potential escape routes, item and weapon combinations, optimal tactics to attack and defend in combat, how best to enter a building, etc. (I'll give helpful information and suggestions on how to handle situations, but not too much).

Charismatic: If you've got it, flaunt it! You know you're pretty, and you've always been a leader. You can use your feminine wiles to seduce both men and women alike and persuade them to your line of thinking, or you can use your natural charisma to rally troops into battle and improve morale with your strong words and character! Heck, you could probably charm the doors of Mordor open and simply walk in! (Increase Charm skill by 1 rank, people will like you more, and desire you more, you will be more inspiring to others when you speak, and you’re naturally sexier).

Feedback: When you get too close to rifts there's a chance that you will lose 10 MR and deal minor health damage. Health damage will never kill or knock you out.

Milk Addict: You’ve drunk a lot of milk and you have developed a preference, close to a need, for the thick, creamy substance. You’ll still drink other liquids, but you greatly prefer milk for some reason if given the choice. You’ll find that you have a craving and thirst for milk and, while no negative health effects will occur if you don’t get some, you’ll find that you’ll perform better slightly in all the things you do for a time.

Heart of Gold: You are an extremely kind and caring individual; you absolutely love to help children and those in need. You give of yourself freely to others and ask for nothing in return and always try to be a good person no matter what. You also offer to help, even when it was never asked of you to begin with. Loving and caring is second nature to you; you are compassionate, loving, and serene and as a result more people will like you and it will be easier to charm others because of your gentle and loving nature.

The Rift Plane is a pocket dimension where time has no meaning and you cannot die from lack of nutrition; if you leave the Rift Plane time will resume as normal. From the Rift Plane you may travel through other rifts scattered about the pocket dimension that are connected to the real world rifts, allowing you to travel over vast distances so long as you have discovered the rifts for each location. I.E. Say you come into contact with a rift in Kilnhaven, Eborthia and a rift in Lumin, Eborthia. You can jump into the Kilnhaven rift and come out the Lumin rift with virtually no time passing between the two. There are also other rifts that may allow you to gain unique powers if you find them…

Mental Fortitude Expert: As a result of training with Astraea you have developed an expert understanding of shielding your mind against mental probes and attacks, as well as having majorly increased your natural magical reserves in the process. You can withstand basic, mild, and sometimes major levels of mental assaults, but anything higher or prolonged and you will not succeed.

Very Slight Magical/Physical Damage Resistance: Your new piercings, courtesy of Delilah, Lula, and Leena, are enchanted to boost your physical and magical damage resistance the more that you wear. The number of piercings you have gives a very slight increase to these resistances.

Sorry, this got a lot longer than I intended.

Hey I hate to ask for more graphical representation after you put so much work into your posts, but could we get some easy picture word doc with some shapes to show where these guys are? And also a list of names-abilty-magic/strength/weakness, so that it's easy to know who you're referring to in the posts without having to search back through the all the posts and without you needing to describe them again and again as this goes on?

I envision it as a word doc with text bubbles for each one labeled numerically, with a corresponding list that associates the number to the above information. Not trying to be bossy, just trying to cut down on the work I'm trying to pawn off on you. I think I understand the layout, but such a chart would just make it easier to grasp with so many high powered/specialty characters.

Also three questions:
1. Do we know anything about breaking runes or wards? I was thinking that since we saw them drawn in with resin we could just wash them away with a water missile. I'll alter my choice depending on whether or not that would make sense.
2. Are there windows or anything up here that we could jump/blink out to escape to lower levels or the street so we can link up with the aforementioned vampire?
3. I've been taking it for granted and assuming, but magical suppression blocks all magic use, right? Not just MR casting?

ANDDDD on to my vote:
A3: We've got to neutralize the mage
B1: How many people can directly engage us in the hallway? I'd say move through the hallway to the first or second bend back from the gym to use it as cover.
C1, C2: Suppress the orc, Blink back to position indicated in B1
D: Use lightning whip to beat some ass and wipe out the guys who were closest to Colette who took the most damage from lust explosion. Use flash at the same time to grant an opening to the mage for suppression, also ice shield, water missile, heal if there is time
F. Whichever is easier on an individual basis, no pulling punches at this point, if they die, they die. Can't be afraid to put a jackass in the ground. Of course, if anyone has to die, I'd rather see a guy go down than a girl, what with harem-building and all ;)

How I see this working: Lightning whip the closest, most damaged enemies in an attempt to finish them off, arcing it to the blessed weapon/weak to lightning elf if possible, while casting flash again to blind everyone before they come to their senses from the pink lust hellfire. Use the flash and your whip to get close enough to the half-orc mage to touch and cast suppression, for the love of god don't be shy with the whip, if we get distance we probably won't get to use it again before it wears off. Honestly if we just waste the group of four by flailing the whip with our crazy fast moves and end up suppressing a charred orc corpse, that would be lovely. I am looking for total overkill with that whip so we can our two charges worth and capitalize on our advantage to take a bite of crime. Then we get our happy ass back to the second bend in the hallway, using aura sight on the way to make sure we don't hit a trap/ward/rune, with the help of a blink to speed us on our way, shouldn't need more than one with our centered soul active, if we can aura sight our enemies on the way back to get a sense for their magical strengths and weaknesses too that would be good.

Once we get around the second corner we cast a pair of water missiles at the wards on the ground, and a third at the frost covered door, hopefully the water will warm the ice and cause it to crack, like when I drop ice cubs in a nice glass of water (yay science). If the water doesn't affect the first ward, we won't use it again on the second, but we will shoot it at the frozen door if we can see it without tripping the wards.

Contingencies for the runes: If we can wash away the runes, proceed with next paragraph. If water doesn't work and they are both still up, proceed with next paragraph. If we can't wash them away but the one the succubus laid is already gone, indicating they go away if the caster gets knocked out, then focus on the dwarf, since I don't think we have much that can KO someone at range we would likely have to shoot to kill :(

At the second bend in the hallway where we are sniping the wards: If we have time when we get back, or preferably on the way, I'd say recast Ice Shield then minor healing on our shoulders. We should have time to use aura sight before we head around even the first bend to figure out what we're up against elementally too in addition to making sure there aren't any ward traps in the hallways before we run into them. We pull the bow and arrows and go stealth and start taking shots at the elf leader and anyone else with a weakness to fire, that long hallway is another opportunity for aura sight, we can check them out as they advance if we haven't already. The bow takes precedence over healing. Once they start getting close, switch to melee with a short sword and lightning whip dagger.

sturm: I'll have the map up later, but for now I'll respond to your other questions and whatnot. Let me start off by saying that I love your enthusiasm and it's really motivating me a lot! :D Also you're not being bossy at all, and I'm happy to accommodate if it makes visualizing and reading easier. In fact, if you want me to do it for most fight scenarios from here on out then I'll gladly do so.

As for breaking runes and wards... there was an instance earlier in the story where they were encountered, but not much else was done with it. I gave a little hint about breaking them earlier, and I won't outright say what will and will not break them, but you're not wrong to think that these ones are probably basic and hastily made so... :p

As for windows to jump out of, there are not. The mansion itself, while large, doesn't have many windows due to how close it is to other buildings with very narrow alleyways. Not quite wall-to-wall, but close enough that windows would be problematic. There are some upstairs and in the main hall to let in light, but most of the lighting is magically induced via little outcroppings in the rooms.

Magical Suppression blocks all magic types. Anything that can be channeled into magical power - demonic magic, traditional magic, or other types - it can block.

I hope that answered your questions and I'm really enjoying reading your posts! I'll have the map up later; I'll work on it now and hopefully get it out before I fall asleep :p

Thanks for all of that, that was extremely helpful and your dedication to detail makes this a great read! I'm still only at page 45, so I'm making ground slowly but surely. Though if we manage to not get kidnapped, I do believe I will advocate going back to the Temple of Domina to visit yon tentacle lady Astraea for some more MR learnings, yes we are a rogue, but I do so love throwing down some AoE destruction, general magical knowledge *cough* runes *cough* wards *cough*, and maybe acquire some new crystals.

Also, just read the part where we got the blink power, that demonstration with the bandits is certainly a proficiency to strive for, and the only reason I wouldn't do it here is we don't have the MR to pull it off. Very fun to read!

I definitely like having the graphical representation but I don't think it's necessary for every encounter, for instance I think the goblin encampments and sewer adventures up through page 40 were fine without it. That's because the environments were a little less complex, caves, sewer tunnels, tents in the woods, etc. The reason I've asked on these, other than that I just started voting, is that we are fighting a larger number of specialized opponents with different skills and weaknesses and where environmental interactions and positioning is going to play a big part in our success or failure. The graphics just help clarify the those details and make it easier for me to customize my choices. Again, I appreciate all the effort you are putting into this!

1- Does Colette have any magical strengths weaknesses that we know of other than the occasional rift shock?

Edit: it has come to my attention that the vampire they are afraid of is Deidra, not Delilah as I had assumed. There is apparently more to her than being the centuries old owner of a kickass brothel, boding well for the next forty pages of reading I have to catch up on.

Open question, anyone got any ideas on linking up with some allies? I don't really know who's here other than Deidra, who I assume is vampire they're worrying about, and Vivian the succubus who has at least some talent in fire magic. I'm open to suggestions on that, my plan right now is to help clear the way for Delilah to get to us, maybe make some loud noises to draw her our way.

Look for me to edit my previous post with my vote as I learn more about this situation and more people weigh in.

No, Colette does not have any strengths but nor does she have any weaknesses. She has a "clear" magical affinity, similar to blessed equipment and miracles, and falls under the realm of "plot reasons".

- First use the whip to grab and pull the half-orc to you, then magical suppression (C1).
- Second flash and blink behind the leader (C2), again magical suppression (C1).
- Third blink back to the door and use the Alchemist’s Fire on the door way
- Finally runaway B8: there are too many foes. We need to find Deidra. Also drink an healing potion.

(use blood magic if no more MR).

Alright, we're at a bit of a stalemate it seems. Between sturm's and nightshade99's votes there are a few intersecting ideas going on, but obviously some differences. If you two want to discuss and change, or come to an agreement, on your choices then now is the time. If anyone wants to add their input then feel free to do so! If no one adds or changes in the next day or so (I'll say roughly 36 hours) then what I will do is keep the things that are roughly the same between the votes and then flip a coin on the rest, possibly blending some options together to get the best of both worlds.

I feel like it might be difficult to use the lightning whip to pull him towards us because it is made out of lightning and not solid material, unless we have successfully done that before, I'm only on page 46.

I also don't see a reason to burn so much MR on the blinking to the leader and suppressing him. I feel like his impact is as a leader and he's probably good enough with his enchanted sword that just stopping him from using magic won't really make enough of a difference to be worth 60 of our 104 remaining MR.

As cool as it would be to use the Alchemist's Fire, I don't think it would be a good idea to use it in here. It's described as unstoppable fire that can melt steel. I don't believe our host, Madame Deidra, would be happy with us using that inside her brothel, what with all of the people I assume are on the floor below and around us as the unstoppable flames burn down the building.

Running is a good choice, but I don't think it's really available to us because we've seen one spell and two wards blocking our escape, and I'm sure there's more that we didn't see. We didn't even see the half-orc mage until last post, so he had plenty of time to put down crazy wards and barriers and what not.

The materials are mostly stained and polished wood. The only metal present are the hinges, nails in the frame, and the doorknob.

Alright, so I’ve decided to blend together sturm’s and nightshade99’s choices together on their similarities, and flipped a coin on others… so here’s the breakdown, and note that all of this is my reasoning before I actually have begun writing, so things may appear slightly differently in story depending on dice rolls. First and foremost I took sturm and nightshade99’s vote for killing vs no killing and have left it as such that if Colette manages to bring one of these enemies’ health down to critical levels then there would be a chance of killing said enemy, though sturm did specify to try and not kill women, so the ladies of this battle have a lower chance of dying should Colette forget to hold her blows back. This is an interesting dilemma that I will address in the future now that it has arisen. Also, I will keep choices queued in the fight so that if one thing fails, but a specific target or action is specified, then Colette will try to continue going for it. A3 and C1 were universal to attack the half-orc, but after flipping a coin to decide on how to approach… nightshade99’s version to use the lightning whip to try and pull the orc wins out, failing that Colette will wildly swing with the intent of hitting the plate-clad elf who is weak to lightning followed by everyone else in defense. Afterwards D4 to flash, regardless of choice, and try to use the remaining strikes on the whip is the second sequence of events on the group as a whole. After this I flipped a coin… and sturm won out on not attacking the leader directly and instead defaults to his and nightshade99’s retreat of B1/B8. Flipping a coin again when retreating, if time allows, again sturm’s choice of using D2 Ice Shield won out as well as using D5water missile on any supposed ice barriers and runes, specifically on Vivian’s door instead of tossing Alchemist’s Fire at the entranceway. Colette will, however, drink a minor healing potion instead of using magic as that coin flip won out if she is able to. Colette will also attempt to use aura sight to ascertain all magical weaknesses and strengths as she retreats. Colette will try to retreat to regroup with Deidra as per nightshade99’s vote, but will move at sturm’s pace trying to defend herself along the way with bow and arrow, and then short sword and lightning whip/dagger. This is all assuming everything goes to plan and if certain die rolls prevent certain actions from being taken then Colette will try again or go down the list until all choices are exhausted.

I hope I was able to get everything satisfactorily. While both sturm and nightshade99 had somewhat similar voting setups they did differ enough to warrant some coin flips, and ultimately sturm’s was more detailed and thought out and I opted to blend his and nightshade99’s together, flipping a coin on the differences to see what minute things would happen instead of another.

You flick your wrist out towards the half-orc, letting loose the lightning whip as it crackles through the air towards him as you make up your mind on the best course of action. Take the mage down first, and hopefully the whip is capable of wrapping itself around him as if corporeal so that you can shorten the distance between him and you. You use your speed to your advantage and before even anyone can react your whip is lunging towards him – his eyes go wide and the telltale signs of crackling electricity whip through his body followed by the scream of agony and the rigidness of his body as his muscles tighten. Your whip wraps around his arm and causes him intense pain – you find it almost comical the way his mohawk seems to spike up with lightning – and you tug… only to find, to your dismay, that the whip simply passes through his arm and hand. It seems you misjudged the effectiveness of your lightning whip. You don’t have long to ponder your mistake, and seeing quite obviously that the half-orc is completely stunned by your attack you try to capitalize on this fact, and the fact that you’re twice as fast still, and dart forward towards him. You pass beside the goblin monk, who takes a step towards you and throws a punch at you. You easily avoid it, and as he moves towards you he throws out another punch and two kicks, but you’re already far ahead of him and his attacks, while fast and precise, hit nothing but the air behind you. You jump and lunge at the half-orc, concerned only with stopping the flow of his magic; stunned as he is he can do little except watch with unfocused eyes as you extend your left palm out towards his face. The instant your hand hits his face you pour your magic into your fingers, blocking the threads of his magic and stopping his ability to cast. You yell in triumph, bringing your hand down and pushing the half-orc over causing his stunned body to crash against the hardwood floor, only to find yourself with a new problem. When your feet hit the ground you’re immediately assailed by Bo and the elven leader. You scream in pain as you feel cold steel in your back, raking downwards in two spots into your flesh. The pain is excruciating, and you can hear the fabric of your coat being torn as well as studs popping off of your armor as whoever is behind you digs their weapons into your back, though thankfully your armor and Skin-Walker absorb most of the damage. You throw yourself to the left in time as Bo and the elven leader thrust their blades out at you, and you narrowly escape being skewered, however, you’re not fast enough and scream in pain as their blades nick the tops of your thighs.

“She’s hurt! Quickly, give her everything you’ve got!” the elf yells as he moves forward and readies his blade with determination. You grit your teeth as you land next to the half-orc, who groans and starts to come from his daze.

In your dreams!

You scream into your mind as you whip your arm around you as you quickly push yourself to your feet, using your whip to gain some leverage in this fight, which you are currently losing quite poorly against the combined forces of this mercenary group. You flail your arm widely to the right in an arc, aiming for Hal and twirling around to hit the others. You miss Hal completely, but cause him to backpedal and yell in surprise as he narrowly dodges your lightning whip. You duck your head as Bo lets loose a volley of bolts, narrowly missing his attack as you return the favor and nail him across the chest with your whip, causing him to scream and making his body lock up in stunned lightning while his skin turns a slight shade of red, as if stung by a bee. The dwarven woman readies her fists, but you nail her as well, and the leader tries to duck but underestimates your arc and gets caught in the strike as well, both screaming and fidgeting as their bodies go rigid and course with electric pain. Jin, the human woman with raven hair, the monk, and the archer all hit the deck at once and your whip soars harmlessly over their heads, but the advancing mace wielding elf tries to foolishly block the attack and takes a full lightning whip to the face as it passes through him and screams in utter agony as his lightning weakness surges through his body like a lightning rod, his skin turning red almost as if having an allergic reaction. The oni tries to hop backwards, but lands flat on her ass as your whip travels through her and causes her to grit her teeth in pain as yellow lightning wracks her body, and Lipper, the goblin fighter with the sword and shield, tries to parry the blow away, but instead causes the whip to slide up his shield and smack him across the face. He hits the ground and fights for control, landing on his knees and steadying himself with his blade as yellow lightning causes his body to go stiff. You praise every single god there is for your luck, dashing on your feet for the door and pumping your legs as oxygen enters your lungs. You try to block out the pain, turning around in time and yelping as you slide to the left as an arrow, launched by the goblin archer on one knee, flies passed you though the arrow seems to turn into a beam of light that bursts as it hits the wall at the end of the hallway. The timely dodge also saves you from being cleaved in two as Hal’s axe swipes at your right side, and you gasp in pain as his sharp axe cuts you lightly. You turn to face Hal as he readies another swing, but you dart forward and turn around as you reach the threshold of the door. You glow in a dim white light and push your palms out in front of you and scream in anger as you release a blinding white flash of light. You watch as Hal recoils in pain, gripping his eyes, and about half of the group, at least the ones looking at you, all shut their eyes in pain while the rest are already under the effects of your lightning whip, which now dissipates into nothingness – no matter, it only had a single strike left in it anyways. You quickly drop into aura sight, even as some of them recover, and quickly make a mental note of enemy weaknesses and strengths via magic as your mind works feverishly to process and retain this information. You’re pleased to see that each of them looks to be in incredible lingering pain from your lust burst as pink hellfire slowly sizzles at their skin.

Hal is weak to water and strong against ice, and his weapon is enchanted for extra cutting power it seems.
Bo is weak against lightning – would explain the reaction – and strong against fire.
Lipper is strong against purple shadow magic and weak against void… and his weapon is enchanted with the dark grey of gravity and the void. Interesting.
The goblin monk is weak against fire and strong in earth magic, but his threads are… his body seems to better harness the magical threads than others. Weird.
That archer is weak against violet and strong in light magic, and his weapon is enchanted with the power of light… oh shit he’s lining up another shot!


You duck and cover your face with your arms as another arrow flies over your head and bursts into a dazzling white light that nearly blinds you. You scramble backwards onto your butt and swing yourself around the threshold of the door, panting for air as another arrow flies passed you, though this one slams into the wall at the end of the hallway and stays there, dangerously close to Lyra as she groans in her sleep, head resting cutely against the wall. In different circumstances you wouldn’t mind getting a piece of that hot succubus ass, but right now is definitely not the time to be thinking about digging into her no doubt tight, sweet love tunnel with your tongue and… you smack yourself on the head a few times to refocus.

Shit! I wasn’t able to really examine them all thoroughly! I did see that Jin, that woman who literally stabbed me in the back, was strong in lightning. The orc is strong in void, and the oni is strong in fire, but as for their weaknesses… I just couldn’t tell! Gods dammit!

You peek around the corner and see that some of them are recovering, and as the elf shakes himself loose of lightning he starts barking orders and pointing towards the door, specifically at the archer. All you can hear is your heart in your ears and chest, pounding away like the marching drums of war, but no doubt he wants him to cover the door and make sure you don’t pop out. You do see the half-orc looking panicked as he realizes he can’t use his magic, which makes you grin.

Alright… alright, time to get around the corner. They might have laid traps out for me, or Deidra, so I have some time to be careful while they prepare their next attack. Gods I just need to wait for Deidra… Holy fucks I’m all beat to high hells right now; I need a little pick me up.

You push yourself off the wall and quickly dart forward, rounding the corner while keeping an eye out for traps. Vivian’s door further down on your right, much as you suspected, is covered over in a thick block of ice, and you can hear Vivian pounding at the door though her voice is muffled behind at least three or four feet of ice. Further down the hallway you can spot three rune traps; one on the floor a few feet in front of you, one on the ceiling further back near the second bend in the hallway but a few feet in front of it, and at the bend though barely visible you can see the final one pointing towards the entrance to this hallway on the right wall. You quickly reach into your pouch and grab one of the smaller healing potions and using your thumb you pop the cork, spit out your pacifier, will Skin-Walker away, and take a single large gulp and down the soothing concoction and moaning as relaxation and healing magics work through you. You hang your head back a moment as you feel your skin mending itself, the pain subsiding to a sore throb as your wounds close and the bleeding stops. Too bad it doesn’t mend the damage done to your leather armor and coat. You quickly step forward after shaking off your euphoria and realize how tired you are, but you press onwards and gather up your magic. You glow a dim light aqua color and hold your right hand up, pointing your palm at the first rune on the floor and launch a water missile at it, drawing upon the knowledge of the crystal itself. As the charge leaves your magic crystal a large, accurate jet of water streams from your hands like a large arrow and pummels the floor where the ward is at. You grin victoriously as the ward, applied with a simple resin or chalk of some sort, completely washes away – you crouch down and glow in a dim aqua as you aim your hand precisely at the second one near the end of the hallway. Another stream of water launches itself from your hand and hits its mark, washing away the second rune. You stand up and point your palm one final time at Vivian’s door and launch a water missile at the ice block. It works… only partially; the ice is far too thick and the water only slams into the center and causes the ice to crack and partially melt. You would need a concentrated stream or better yet fire – maybe the alchemists fire? - of some sort if you have any hopes of freeing Vivian. The pounding stops for a moment as your magic hits it, and then resumes as does her voice as she seems to call for help and ask what’s going on. You’re about to respond, but you realize you need to spend every moment preparing. You reach around and pull the elven short bow from your back – of which you have used very little of – and you pull an arrow from your quiver as you gather your magic and glow a dim blue. You release the magic as a sheet of ice blankets your body in blue before turning completely clear.

Let’s see what’s in store for me.

You jog towards the corner and press yourself against the wall before, poking your head out around the corner. You see the half-orc, looking a little panicked, and the elven leader applying an ice shield of his own… and then you see something that makes your blood boil. The elven leader, Jin, the monk, the half-orc… all of them dig into their pouches and pull out red healing potions. Each of them pops the corks quickly and brings their philters to their mouths, and you watch as each of them downs the elixirs and their burns and wounds start to disappear. The only one that doesn’t pop a potion is Jin, and you find out that the fucking mace wielding elf – the one weak to lightning - is a fucking cleric as he chants something in a distorted voice and glows in a bright light and raises his hand towards the ceiling as a pillar of light descends upon him, and you watch as his skin heals.

Those motherfuckers! That is not fair!

You step out from behind your cover and nock an arrow and pull it back, aiming for the weakest and currently most dangerous of the group from this range – the goblin archer. Thankfully your camouflage is up so they don’t see you, and you line your shot up towards his center, not wanting to kill… but at this stage you might not have a choice. You let loose an arrow, and with it your camouflage breaks as the arrow soars through the air towards your target. The goblin looks too late, and your arrow hits him square in the left shoulder. The force of the blow knocks him clean onto his back and he screams in pain, still alive it seems even from the force of the blow and the fire magic burning him, and before you can get another shot off Lipper, the goblin fighter, appears in front of him and raises his shield while the dwarf throws three consecutive punches at you and launches three beams of purple-black rays at you. Your eyes go wide and you immediately duck behind the wall, but not before you hear the elven cleric chanting again followed by a faint ray of light just as you turn the corner. Seems the cleric is doing his job and healing in place of the half-orc now. “Lipper, the door! Uma and Crojac cover that gods damned door! Everyone else form up along the walls! We tried to play nice, girl, but we’re on a timetable and you’re really starting to get on my nerves!” You wait until your camouflage sets in again before peeking around the corner, and when you next peek out you see Lipper covering the door. He’s on his knee with his shield raises, nearly covering every part of his body despite the shields size as he hunkers down. Over his shoulders you can see the dwarven woman, Uma most likely, and the hapless archer Crojac covering the door. Crojac looks livid, but healthier than a few seconds ago, as he pulls his bowstring back and aims at the door while Uma looks wary and a little fearful, though ready to throw more magical punches at you if necessary. “Advance! You all know the drill! Fast and hard people; no more games!” With that last command Lipper stands up and slowly starts to walk forward, leaving more of him exposed but allowing him to look forward to try and block any of your attacks. He’s the only one advancing at this point, but in a few moments you’re certain that you’re going to be in even more trouble than before. Beside you Lyra stirs and groans, and then resumes her snoozing almost peacefully despite the chaos around her… and beside her.

F5. Amazonian Veil Dance: Requires 25 MR or 50 Lust and bestows Colette with a mild damage bonus and +1 skill bonus to all offensive weapon skills (2/4 Hand-to-Hand becomes 3/4, etc.). Lasts 5 minutes.

Wow, there was a lot going on in this update. Going to be honest with this one; if Colette didn’t end up stunning half the crew with her lightning whip (which was miraculous) then chances are this post wouldn’t have gone very far. The flash was just an added bonus for Hal who was pursuing Colette at the time. Overall very lucky, though how much longer will her luck last?

Source of Energy: Magical monsters and beings that feed from your essence (blood and sexual secretions) gain more energy than normal from you and also suffer a short term power boost.

Essence of Absorption: Thanks to receiving the “essence” of countless individuals many, many times, you have discovered a peculiarity about yourself. You have a certain trait of magical beings and monsters that allows you to absorb the magical energy from sexual secretions, and maybe even blood (?), from people to give yourself some energy and restore your MR. Also, it accelerates your healing slightly and you find you can now sustain yourself wholly off of the essence of others similar to magical beings.

Dancer: Dancing comes naturally to you and, while it may not have uses in combat or when talking to someone, you find you can learn dances by seeing others dance or learning descriptions of dance.

Mental Quickness: You're a quick thinker when it comes to solving problems and smart to boot! If you're in a pinch you can easily notice potential escape routes, item and weapon combinations, optimal tactics to attack and defend in combat, how best to enter a building, etc. (I'll give helpful information and suggestions on how to handle situations, but not too much).

Charismatic: If you've got it, flaunt it! You know you're pretty, and you've always been a leader. You can use your feminine wiles to seduce both men and women alike and persuade them to your line of thinking, or you can use your natural charisma to rally troops into battle and improve morale with your strong words and character! Heck, you could probably charm the doors of Mordor open and simply walk in! (Increase Charm skill by 1 rank, people will like you more, and desire you more, you will be more inspiring to others when you speak, and you’re naturally sexier).

Feedback: When you get too close to rifts there's a chance that you will lose 10 MR and deal minor health damage. Health damage will never kill or knock you out.

Milk Addict: You’ve drunk a lot of milk and you have developed a preference, close to a need, for the thick, creamy substance. You’ll still drink other liquids, but you greatly prefer milk for some reason if given the choice. You’ll find that you have a craving and thirst for milk and, while no negative health effects will occur if you don’t get some, you’ll find that you’ll perform better slightly in all the things you do for a time.

Heart of Gold: You are an extremely kind and caring individual; you absolutely love to help children and those in need. You give of yourself freely to others and ask for nothing in return and always try to be a good person no matter what. You also offer to help, even when it was never asked of you to begin with. Loving and caring is second nature to you; you are compassionate, loving, and serene and as a result more people will like you and it will be easier to charm others because of your gentle and loving nature.

Rift Travel: You have discovered the power, whether from being Rift Touched, the silver bracelet, or a combination of both that you can now travel through rifts to the Rift Plane. The Rift Plane is a pocket dimension where time has no meaning and you cannot die from lack of nutrition; if you leave the Rift Plane time will resume as normal. From the Rift Plane you may travel through other rifts scattered about the pocket dimension that are connected to the real world rifts, allowing you to travel over vast distances so long as you have discovered the rifts for each location. I.E. Say you come into contact with a rift in Kilnhaven, Eborthia and a rift in Lumin, Eborthia. You can jump into the Kilnhaven rift and come out the Lumin rift with virtually no time passing between the two. There are also other rifts that may allow you to gain unique powers if you find them…

Mental Fortitude Expert: As a result of training with Astraea you have developed an expert understanding of shielding your mind against mental probes and attacks, as well as having majorly increased your natural magical reserves in the process. You can withstand basic, mild, and sometimes major levels of mental assaults, but anything higher or prolonged and you will not succeed.

Very Slight Magical/Physical Damage Resistance: Your new piercings, courtesy of Delilah, Lula, and Leena, are enchanted to boost your physical and magical damage resistance the more that you wear. The number of piercings you have gives a very slight increase to these resistances.

Dual Wielding Master: You have a extreme amount of experience wielding two weapons at once. Dual wielding allows you to attack with two one-handed weapons at once, essentially doubling the damage you do. At present you are extremely skilled and find it easy to hit enemies in combat without any negative effects to your chances to hit. You don’t need any more practice to wield two weapons at once effectively.

Pleasure Resistance Master: You have learned to resist pleasure at a masterful level, and are capable of maintaining your cool under extreme sexual pleasure. However, only the most extremely skilled partners and/or very prolonged pleasure break down your resistance, though you can maintain your cool for a very long period of time.

Dexterity Trained – Flexibility and Ranged Hits: You’ve been trained by Delilah on how to be more dexterous. While it’s not the full dexterity workout, it does allow you to perform hits better with ranged weaponry. You’re also more flexible as a result, just like a gymnast or contortionist!

Blood Magic: You’ve learned to use the dangerous art of blood magic, allowing you to draw on your very life force to cast spells instead of from charges or your magical reserves. Lap Dance: 25 MR or 50 Lust required to use. Drains mild health and MR of target, target instantly loses an action turn, gives mild health boost. Lasts five minutes.

Blossoming Rose: Use requires maximum Lust or MR and fully consumes either. Turns all surrounding enemies, allies, and the caster docile and incapable of performing hostile actions. Lasts for ten minutes. Use for engaging in peaceful dialogue. Sexual interactions during effects will solidify caster’s will on all those afflicted.

4 questions this time:
1. How long does alchemist's fire last on a weapon?
2. You said Lipper is weak to voice, did you mean void?
3. Do we know if Alchemist's Fire is of the magical sort that the cleric would be resistant to? Or is it more of a chemistry/beautiful napalm kind of thing?
4. Divine power is different from magical, correct? So we can't suppress it?
Bonus Rhetorical Questions: Vivian is able to use fire magic on her own since she's a succubus, right? So if she can't burn through some wood and ice maybe it's better if we leave her there for now... -_-

Choices:
X-Change preferences to kill, we can't let them keep healing their team mates. The clerical elf is the new target of opportunity as he's probably the greatest, and hopefully only, source of healing aside from more potions. If we ever have the opportunity to take him out, I say we take it.

B4-Going to take a page from Nightshade with this, I think the Alchemist's Fire might be our best bet since it and lightning bolts are pretty much the only AoE attacks we have left at our disposal. This choice uses: Alchemist's fire, MR potion, throwing dagger, enchanted short sword, steel dagger, water missles, lightning whip, lightning bolt, blink, numerous arrows

I don't think we'll get a good cluster of them where we are now. I say we pull back down the hallway, using our MR to wipe away runes with water missile as we go if we can't bypass them. When we get to the intersection of the long hallway we're currently in with the hallway before the big room on the right side of the map, tuck the alchemist's fire bottle away in a spot that they won't see it as they're advancing, after applying a third of it to a throwing knife. Then fall back, I know there's at least two runes on the floor there, so we'll have to knock those out to get into the main room. If we've got any allies there, have them start knocking away at the frozen main door in there with our flaming knife while we wait in stealth at entrance to the room for them to come around the corner. I suppose we can contribute a fire arrow or two to the door-effort too if it sounds like the bad guys are taking their time, but only after we take our MR restore potion. While in this position, we should already have our short sword and dagger out and on the ground, but to the side of the door so they can't be seen from the hallway, so we can just drop the bow and pick them up when we need to.

Since the corner is a blind spot it's an obvious spot for an ambush so I imagine that is where they are most likely to have poor spacing as they slow down rounding the corner. Once the first couple come around the corner, but before there's any danger of people blocking our shot, we shoot the bottle from stealth, starting a nice little barbecue. We can use that confusion to try and kill as many of them as possible with a couple of shots from the bow before they realize what's going on.

I see that our short sword is already enchanted, so once they start coming down the short hallway that leads to the main room, cast lightning whip first with our off hand, send a lightning bolt with our MR down the hallway if there's a group we can hit, then channel the whip through the dagger we wield. At that point it's time to cut them up with some dual wielding, using blink to get behind people and stab them in the neck, with some lightning whip pain to supplement it. Again, emphasis on taking down the cleric, we absolutely can't afford to have him healing people. If casting lightning means the difference between having enough MR for two or three blinks, then don't use it.

We should have three uses of blink, depending on how many wards we have to wash away. If we have enough for three blinks then I'd say use two before our next decision point. If only have enough for two, then use one to get us in position to kill the cleric and save the last for the next decision point unless it's our only chance to save ourselves.

Hopefully they get to us with enough time to make full use of our remaining three minutes of centered soul.

3. Magical resistances are not purely magical, though most of their effects are found in magic. So if someone is resistant to lightning, then if they're actually struck by lightning out in a thunderstorm they'll have a higher chance of survival/not be harmed as much as someone who is not resistant or even weak. Same for fire; getting hit with a fireball or having alchemist's fire thrown at them will be the same thing, or even if caught in a burning house they wouldn't be hurt as much. Although if someone is resistant to earth then of course if they're hit with a chunk of earth through magical effects then they'll take it better than if someone threw a rock at them. Someone resistant to water will still drown all the same but might be more adept in water, and someone resistant to ice will fare better in colder weather than someone without. I hope that answers your question.

4. Cannot suppress divine power as it is indeed separate.

Vivian is able to use magic on her own being a succubus, yes. She did say she can defend herself if need be, but she's only nineteen and assuming living under Deidra's wing her entire life I would say she hasn't seen much conflict. Being able to defend oneself and being a fighter that can keep their cool in battle are two different things... :)

I feel like this is a running theme as of late but I’ve again combined nightshade99’s and sturm’s choices after rolling on whether or not to throw the alchemist’s fire. Since both are essentially retreating options I don’t see too much consequence in combining them yet again while expanding on sturm’s choice. I will refer to sturm’s X and B4, but nightshade99’s C to throw the alchemist’s fire with the main intent of retreating back to Deidra, but with sturm’s preparations including coating a throwing knife with a third of the alchemist’s fire. Depending on rolls things may play out differently, but I’ll try to keep true to the vote!

“Hard and fast, mates! Lipper, we got your back!”

You didn’t even need to think the words “Oh fuck” because the concept registering in your mind was instantaneous. In the eloquent words of Helena: Shit was about to get real, and it was going to become very real very fast. At the leader’s words Lipper raises his shield and charges towards the corner where you’re at, though you’re certain he can’t see you. That fact doesn’t seem to matter to him as he takes off like a bat out of one of the hellish planes, and you watch as the rest of the group takes off from around the corner with Bo and the goblin monk leading the charge. You don’t even have a chance to nock an arrow; you instead stand up, sling the bow over your shoulder, reach into your satchel, grab your alchemist’s fire, and grab a throwing knife as you run towards the end of the hallway. Looking back you see Lipper as you pop the top of the alchemist’s fire and coat your throwing dagger with a small amount of the dangerous substance. You pour the small amount over the blade, dropping some on the floor; the polished wood of the floor sizzles and your dagger lights up in a brilliant flame just as Lipper lowers his guard and swipes at you diagonally with his sword twice before raising his guard in front of his unconscious ally. Your eyes widen as two waves of dark grey energy flies towards you in diagonal cuts, making in “X” that hurtle themselves down the hallway. The wood cracks and shatters beneath the gravitational force of the dark grey sword waves that travel towards you, succumbing to the weight and pressure of the powerful strike and sending splinters flying out in all directions. You curse inwardly as you dive backwards through a narrow gap in his attack thanks to your enhanced speed and reflexes, managing to dodge the blow entirely and tossing the remainder of the alchemist’s fire in the air at Lipper with your right hand while holding the dagger in your left. As your back hits the ground and nearly knocks the wind out of you – your bow and backpack save you from that calamity – you grin as the alchemist’s fire sloshes inside its confines and some sprays out, boiling the wood around it. The real triumph comes when Lipper raises his shield and blocks the terrible concoction, causing it to explode in a glorious fiery maelstrom that erupts outwards and around the goblin – Lipper roars in rage and pain as the vial shatters, pushing him back sliding across the floor as he’s doused with the viscous liquid that you can see instantly starts to melt his shield, though he succeeds in preventing Lyra from being doused. The goblin tosses his glowing hot iron shield onto the ground and cringes in red hot pain, but instead of backing down he yells and charges at you as you scramble to your feet, tiny fires spreading all across his dark leather as the determined warrior attempts to fully engage you, charging you like a bull. You glance at the shield he once carried briefly as it melts, and at the spreading flames that start to engulf the hallway near the corner leading to the gym, orange-red flames funneling towards the ceiling and creeping down the walls to further engulf the polished wood, which immediately starts to crackle and smoke under the intense alchemical heat. You hope that you didn’t just burn down Deidra’s mansion, especially considering you and so many others are inside.

You push yourself onto your feet as fast as you possibly can as Lipper charges down the hall after you, roaring with might as he escapes the flames that nearly block out the end of the hallway. You panic and throw caution to the wind; at this point you’ve no choice but to try and put these guys down if you hope to stay alive, or at least free if they don’t actually intend to kill you. You glow in a dim yellow light and aim your right hand out towards the charging goblin as he nears you. He grimaces and holds up his blade as a makeshift shield and continues to charge…

One… two… three… NOW!

You wait until he’s practically on you, no more than five feet away and lunging and roaring at you before you launch a lightning bolt. The yellow arc of lightning slams square into his chest, causing him to scream in pain as the lightning ripples through his body, stunning him – you stand up and let loose a sigh of relief as you have a moment to think, one that is quickly extinguished as you hear the rushing of icy wind followed by the end of the hall turning cold and icy, extinguishing what fire there was. You don’t bother looking as you know the rest of them are approaching – you glow a dim yellow once more as you turn around and sprint down the hall, turning back and extending your hand out at Lipper, letting loose another arc of lightning that travels down the length of the hallway and slams into his chest once more, this time knocking him onto his ass as he twitches and roars in pain. With your speed you reach the end of the hallway in no time, glowing a dim aqua and extending your palm out towards the run on the wall you saw. You release a spray of water at the rune, washing it away as your blood turns cold as your magical reserves leave you. You turn around to see how much time you’ve got before rounding the corner a-

You throw yourself against the left wall, slamming your shoulder into the wood as a volley of bolts nearly hit you, instead whizzing passed you and slamming into the wood behind where you stood. However, you realize all too late you fell into their trap as you watch helplessly as an glowing white arrow, loosed by the goblin archer you see grinning in your peripheral at the end of the hall, slams into your chest. Your eyes go wide and the wind is nearly knocked out of you, but thankfully your ice shield holds up enough to absorb the brunt of the blow before shattering. You think you’re in the clear, but you’re dead wrong; you watch in dismay as the arrow snaps in two against your crumbling blue ice shield, the shards of ice shattering like glass and falling to the floor, and it starts to glow an intense bright white. Your eyes widen and you bring your arms up to your eyes to shield yourself from the inevitable; the arrow explodes in a dazzling white light that blows you back and nearly blinds you, but you were quick enough to shield your eyes, however, your arms and stomach hurt as the white light exploded with enough force to damage you. You push yourself off the wall and take stock, noting that your arms and stomach, namely your coat and armor, have small patches in them where fabric should be, and underneath your arms and stomach sting with tiny red welts. You hold onto the flaming throwing dagger with a tight grip as the elven cleric starts glowing in a bright light chanting something from down the hall. You turn to face the end of the hallway, only to have your heart sink in utter dismay.

No… no, no, no! It’s frozen over! Gods dammit all to the high hells!

Near the end of the hallway leading into the entrance hall is another block of ice, except this one is much larger than the others. The entire exit – or entrance depending on where you’re looking – leading out is encased in a blue block of ice, probably four or five feet thick and covering the walls entirely, and you can still see the rune that Lyra the succubus drew albeit encased in ice. In simple terms you’re stuck, but there is one silvering lining, one shining ray of glimmering hope that renews your spirits. At the end of the hall on the other side of the block of ice stands the large brown-skinned tentacle beast Ekkel… and Deidra. And boy does she look abso-fricking-lutely pissed… the patches in her red dress and the burns on her face might be an indication, but more than that you can clearly see her eyes are almost completely black, darker than midnight, her nails seem longer and sharper, and she looks at the block of ice with a perpetual ugly grimace that bares her canine fangs… which again seem much sharper and longer than normal as she huffs and puffs. The mere sight of her sends cold shivers down your spine and you feel downright genuine fear looking at her. Her head snaps up to look at you so quickly and animalistic you have a hard time registering the movement, and it instantly turns your blood to ice, and you’re pretty sure if you had a penis and balls they would have promptly retreated inside of your body for safety. She stares at you for only a split second… and her features change from pure rage to concern as she registers you. You look back down the hallway and see the monk and Hal, axe in hand, charging down the hall headlong towards you with the rest, even Lipper, in tow, though you see the half-orc hanging back since he can’t use any magic and carrying Lyra in his arms. You look back at Deidra and grip your throwing knife before bringing it up and tossing the flaming steel at the block of ice, the flaming steel flying through the air and leaving a trail of flaming particles in the air before lodging itself in the ice block. You dart towards the bend of the hallway for cover, pulling out your short sword and dagger before setting them on the ground beside you, pulling your bow from behind your back and knocking an arrow. You look back at the block of ice, your throwing knife stuff in the block with the flames of the alchemist’s fire slowly melting the surrounding ice – you look at Deidra and you both come to an understanding; this may be your final stand against these guys. She nods and glows a bright red and puts her hands against the block of ice, releasing fiery heat from her palms that spreads and melts the ice… painfully slowly. You figure you have another one or two minutes left before your power starts to wane, and you don’t know if that will be enough time before Deidra can get to you.

Outmatched and outnumbered twelve to one… time to make every second count and pull no punches.

You crouch down low, grab a few more arrows, wait for your camouflage to set in, then pull your bowstring back as you take aim with a single arrow with the rest in your grip for quick drawing. You aim for the monk since he looks like in worse shape than the human. Thanks to the strength granted from your ring you’re able to pull the bowstring back just a little farther than usual, and taking aim you deftly release the arrow and send it hurtling down the hallway. Your camouflage instantly breaks with the action, but it comes as such a surprise for the monk that he can’t react fast enough for you. The arrow slams into his left shoulder hard, digging into the leather and no doubt his flesh and stopping him in his tracks completely as he nearly falls over, hand grabbing at the wall as his skin lights up with red fissures and he screams in pain. You nock another arrow and let it loose towards the goblin with the intent to finish him off… but he seems faster than usual. He keeps his composure and stares right at the arrow, and with one deft move with his right hand he actually catches your arrow midflight! You stare at him wide-eyed as he snaps the arrow in two with his hand and tosses it on the ground, and then snaps the shaft of your arrow lodged into his shoulder before bringing his fists together and channeling… something as the air around him seems to still itself for a few moments. You have other things to worry about, however, as the large human Hal closes in on you, axe in both hands… and he comes in swinging! You tuck and roll out of the way of his axe as he swings it in a wide horizontal arc, though unlike a lot of his comrades he exercises restrain and only uses the blunt end of his axe… which still cracks the corner of the hall with the ferocity of his blow. He barely gives you a moment to breath as when you pop up on the opposite end he swivels and thrusts his axe out at you, and again you dodge by sidestepping his blow, the power of his swift attack causing the wood to splinter, crack, and cave beneath his might. “Hahaha! You’re the best fight I’ve had in ages little warrioress! Such skill, such power…. Rrrrrgh and the way you hurt us really gets my blood boiling!” The warrior says as he looks you in the eyes with a furious, bloodthirsty gaze – you swing your bow over your back and dive for your weapons, only to fail miserably. Your world spins when Hal swings his body to the right and channels the moment with his axe, swinging the blunt end around and smacking you square in the face, specifically your nose. Your head snaps back, giving you whiplash, and Hal rounds you out by practically throwing you with the blunt end of his axe back against the wall, knocking the wind out of your and slamming the back of your head against the wall. You barely register the pain through the daze of your mind, but you do know that your nose is bleeding by how wet it feels. You look up in time to see Hal bringing his axe above his head, intending to crash down the blunt end against your skull full force. You never let him get the chance.

You channel the power of the rift and blink, leaving behind nothing but a blue mist where you once were. You push yourself around and behind the human warrior, regaining some of your energy for your next move. As you align yourself behind him, admiring the stop in time for a moment, you press your feet against the wall behind him and launch yourself forward. “Have fun with this, bitch!” you yell, spitting out your pacifier as you launch yourself forward and shoulder charge Hal just as his axe hits the ground in front of him, and the blue mist you left behind. “Wha-? AARGH?!” Hal screams in confusion and pain as you ram him into the wall as hard as you can, throwing your entire body weight into the attack. Thanks to your ring you get a little extra “umph” and cause him to smack his head against the hardwood. You don’t stop there, however, and throw a flurry of punches at his back. “Agh! Agh! Agh, AAAARGH!” you yell in anger and exertion as you throw one, two, three, four, five quick punches at Hal’s backside, aiming for his kidney and any soft tissue underneath his studded armor. Hal roars and spins around, flailing his axe angrily, but you simply duck, back step, twirl, and deliver a devastating high kick to Hal’s jaw, using your natural flexibility to tilt your body at an awkward angle to deliver the blow. The large man’s head again slams against the back wall, and this time he looks like he’s not doing so well as he stumbles to your right and tries to catch himself from falling onto the floor with his left hand and his axe in his right. He would have succeeded… but you dart forward and deliver another spin kick with your left leg and nail him across the face, snapping his head to the side as blood, and a tooth, sprays from his mouth. He drops his axe with a loud clank on the floor and falls face first against the hardwood flooring. You can tell he’s breathing, and as much as you’re loathe to do it, you intend to rectify that – you turn around and quickly slide towards your weapons, grabbing your shortsword and dagger off the ground as quick as you can as Hal groans in pain. When you turn around you see Hal turned over onto his back and struggling to sit up, holding a sloshing vial of some sort of viscous yellow liquid in his left hand that distinctly reminds you of alchemist’s fire. He throws it on the ground at his feet, shattering the vial. From it a lightning storm erupts in a glorious wall of dozens of yellow lightning arcs that crackle and arc outwards, creating a wall of electricity that takes you by surprise. “I’ve never been so beaten by a woman before” Hal says as he, spitting out some blood as he grabs his axe and struggles to rise, looking you in the eyes with a half-grin, half-grimace, glancing to his left before stumbling out of your sight around the corner, coughing and spitting up blood as he goes. You take a step forward towards the lightning storm in front of you and extend your right hand out towards it, getting the tip as close as possible to the storm. A surge of lightning arcs out towards the tip of your steel sword and surges down your arm. “Mother of-! Crap that hurt!” you yell in pain, stumbling backwards and shaking your arm as it tingles and throbs violently from the stupid decision. You hear them advancing on the other side of the wall, which makes you nervous so you back up further towards the end of the hallway. You turn around and look at the ice block and Deidra – your throwing knife lies on the ground in front of the ice block, the alchemist’s fire dissipated from the cold. You’re pleased to see it did at least a little bit of damage to the thick blue ice, and Deidra watches you intently and with great concern, having switched out with Ekkel who now presses his large tentacles against the ice and red heat flows from his phallic appendages and continues to melt the block, though it seems she dealt with the run on the floor seeing as it’s gone. You don’t know how much longer they have before they reach you… maybe two, three minutes tops? You don’t know if you’ll last that long, but by the gods you’re going to try.

After about fifteen seconds the wall of lightning dissipates, the yellow lightning simply evaporating into nothingness. You start to approach the corner of the wall, but stop in your tracks instantly when a metal, mechanical looking orb bounces off the side of the wall and hits the floor with a clank, rolling towards you. It looks familiar, as if you’ve seen or used something like it bef- “Oh shit” is all you say, popping your pacifier back into your mouth and turning around, diving backwards as the metal orb pops open to reveal a dark grey orb of energy swirling inside… and then to explodes. Or it is more precise to say it implodes as it creates a sort of gravity well, and while you dive towards the ice block and evade the initial blast, the sheer gravitational force generated pulls you back. You scream in shock and agony as you’re literally lifted off the floor, and you watch in terror as you’re sucked in towards the well. You turn around and see a dark grey mass of energy with a black center pulling you in, destroying the wood around it as it creaks, whines, shatters, splinters, and disintegrates – Deidra is going to have to spend a lot of money on repairs after this. You scream in agony as you pass through the well and your body feels like it’s being crushed, though it thankfully destroys itself as you reach the center and you’re flung towards the wall. You twist your body and hit the wall with your left shoulder… and hard. You don’t even have a moment to recover as you look up to see Bo, the dark skinned human with a red shawl, tossing another orb at you about fifteen feet away, the rest of the gang in tow behind him. This one pops open in midair and reveals a small blue vial with a sloshing liquid inside – an ice bomb. There’s no time to dodge the attack; you shield your face and torso with your arms. It explodes in midair right in front of you, forcing you to grip your weapons tightly and grit your teeth, groaning in pain as icy fire envelopes your body and coats the surrounding area in an icy blue sheet. You lower your arms and glare at Bo, with the red oni woman right behind him glowing bright violet as she prepares a spell, her axe in her right hand and her left palm out at you. You dart forward with what little remaining time you have left – you notice Hal, Lyra, and the half-orc hanging near the back of the group about thirty-five feet away as they recover, the half-orc all but useless in this fight now thanks to your suppression. Bo raises his left hand and aims his repeating crossbow at you, and you notice Crojac to your right and Uma to your left, with the elven leader, Jin, the cleric, and Lipper in the center waiting to move in. “Fire!” the leader yells as you pump your legs and move as fast as you can, intent on closing the gap so that you can blink and deal as much damage as possible. You narrow your eyes and prepare yourself.

Bo releases a volley of three bolts at you – you duck and slide underneath them as they whizz over your head.

Crojac takes aim and launches two arrows at you – you see them coming and raise your sword and dagger up, blocking one, but taking the other in the belly, though not deep enough to do serious damage.

You fight through the pain and hunker forward, bounding back up onto your feet as Uma throws two punches at you, launching black-purple rays at you. The one aimed at your head you simply step to the side and bob your head to the side, and the one aimed for your legs you vault over.

Mid vault the red oni’s left hand glows in a deep violet as the rest of her stops glowing. You see a large orb the size of a cannonball launched straight from her hands with enough force to knock her back and blow her arm back. At this point you’re at least ten feet away from Bo… and you blink once more. You stare in wide-eyed wonder while gazing at the cannonball of pure magical “fuck you” that you stare at. You push and weave yourself around the glowing orb towards Bo in the middle of grabbing bolts from the quiver at his hip to replace those he used against you. Speaking of which you stare down at the shaft sticking out of your gut and grimace in pain, but you press on. You weave yourself around to his left side so that you’re right in front of him… and then you blink back into their existence. Bo looks at you with complete and utter shock as you appear before him in a blue mist – you swipe at his right leg with your short sword, catching him along the back of his knee and cutting him deeply. Bo screams and drops to his knees in traumatic agony, and you finish the job, ducking down and driving your dagger into his ribs below the arm. He gasps the air out of his lungs when you swiftly withdraw – you know you haven’t killed him, but in his current state he’s not going to be much of a threat as he clutches his side and gasps for air as he bleeds out and coughs blood; you leave him be and summon the power and knowledge of your yellow crystal, glowing yellow in the process. You whip your right arm out and summon a lightning whip that crackles and snaps at the air as it erupts from your right arm. You use your speed and the shock of your reappearance as an advantage, whipping your arm horizontally over the entire group clustered together. The lead elf, the oni, the monk, and Uma the dwarf – the ones that are closest – all dive, duck, and roll out of the way of your attack. Lipper, the cleric, Crojac, and Jin are all too slow and are caught, your whip phasing through them and sending surges of electricity coursing through their bodies. The cleric screams bloody murder while Jin hits the ground convulsing as lightning surges her body and locks her muscles. You start to back off and reposition yourself, but those that are in close and not stunned – Jin - make their move against you to try and make the most of their opening. The oni woman bellows and roars as she pushes herself up and darts forward with her axe, swinging it wildly. She flails like a madwoman as she yells in rage, and you expertly dodge every attack, either avoiding blows outright as you step back or parrying them with your shortsword and dagger, metal resounding off of metal and the sound of lightning cracking the air. You’re about to retaliate, that is until she catches you off guard; she swings one final time at you, twirls, brings her other hand to the bottom of her axe, and when she turns to face you she pulls the axe apart into two pieces! From the pommel she slides out a small thrusting sword that is slightly longer than a dagger and thrust it at you. You bat the blow away with your own dagger, but fail to realize she still has an axe in her other hand. She swings high and you do your best to block the blow, but she clips you across the left side of your cheek. The force of the attack blows your hood off and forces you to stumble backwards.

You pant and reach for your cheek as you feel the blood flowing down your skin before Skin-Walker rematerializes itself back to your body. You look up in time to see that the rest of the gang is coming after you now as well! The leader, the monk, and Lipper all charge you while the cleric sprints forward and kneels down next to Bo as he performs a chant on his dying friend, the incantation being gibberish to you as he glows brightly. “You’re the strongest mark we’ve ever had!” the elf bellows as he leads the charge, glowing bright blue as he does so. You take one look down the hallway and decide that cover against arrows would be the best bet as Crojac nocks a few more arrows in his bow.

Fucking hells this is ridiculous!

You turn right and dash for the corner, an arrow cutting the air behind your head and making the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. Ekkel and Deidra now both work on the ice block and you figure that you have at least another minute, maybe ninety seconds, before they’re completely through the block of ice… so close and yet so far away! You turn around in time to face the elven leader, sword sheathed on his back as he takes a step towards you and points both palms out towards you. “We need you alive, girl, but we’ll have to beat you to a pulp, put you on ice now and then thaw you out later!” The sound of rushing, icy wind fills your ears, and when you exhale out your nose nothing but frost comes out. You literally have nowhere to run or hide as the elf releases a blast of frosty particles that expand out from his hands and rush towards you as the air itself turns frigid, and what little moisture is in the air freezes instantly and falls to the ground. You try to shield yourself by turn to the side and throwing your right shoulder up above your face, covering your face with your coat. It does little to hold back the biting cold the erupts across your entire body, though namely at your feet and lower body. It hurts so bad you want to scream, but you simply can’t; you can only shiver as the act of merely breathing wracks your body with intense pain, and you start to lose feeling in your feet, legs, and hands almost instantly. When the sound of rushing wind subsides you slowly lower your shoulder and shake violently in biting cold. Your feet and legs feel so cold it’s unbelievable, and looking down you can see why – your feet and legs are frozen in place in a thin block of ice. You attempt at wrestling your legs free and find that you can indeed wrench your legs free, but the roar of Lipper and the monk and the sight of them charging you tells you that there’s not enough time. You panic and start swinging at your legs and feet with your sword, chipping away at the ice with resounding success, but not fast enough. The goblin swordsman charges full force at you and swipes vertically at you with his sword. You desperately raise your arms up to block the attack with your short sword and dagger, and you actually manage to catch the goblin’s orcish sword before he cleaves you in two. His strength is just too great for you even with your enchanted ring on and he easily forces his blade down, breaking your guard. The goblin’s blade is so sharp thanks to its enchantment that it cuts through your skin like a hot knife through butter, and though Skin-Walker takes the brunt of the blow thanks to the divine blessings it still hurts like fucking hells when his blade glides across your forehead diagonally down across your nose and right cheek. You scream in pain and retaliate as quick as you can, thrusting your short sword out and catching the goblin in the gut with your sword and the lightning whip, digging in really, really deep. He screams in pain and literally pulls himself off your electric blade and steps back, grabbing his gut with his left hand as blood pours from beneath his leather, which did little against your enchanted sword. He’s the least of your worries right now as the monk takes the opening to attack you – he takes a deep breath, exhales, and dashes at you with lightning speed, barely making a noise as his fists start to glow a strange light blue. You brace yourself to try and deflect the blows as you continue to wriggle your legs, and at the moment before he strikes the sheet of ice encasing your legs and feet shatters. When the first punch comes you react as best as you can against it, which is much better now that you have your freedom of movement.

You take a step back as he jabs with his right hand with a speed so lightning quick that you barely register it, aimed right at your face. You bob your head down and successfully evade it, only to have your head snapped back up as he throws an uppercut to your chin and knocks you back. You stumble backwards from the incredibly powerful blow, but he’s so quick on his feet that even with your speed you have a hard time keeping up, and you’re in so much pain and so tired… He throws a punch aimed at your stomach and you swipe with your dagger, and to your astonishment he withdraws his hand as quickly as he punched, grabs your left hand, pulls it towards him, and punches your elbow. Your arm bends in an unnatural way and you scream in pain, nearly dropping your dagger in the process. The monk presses the attack and uses knocks away your arm, which feels like it might be broken or at least severely damaged, and throws two more lightning quick and devastating punches towards your midsection. He hits you in the sternum and diaphragm, knocking the wind out of you and agonizing your entire body. At this point you can’t react and you watch as his left fist flies towards your face; you barely register getting hit in the nose and right cheek as your world spins. You stumble backwards until you hit something cold and slick, and pressing your swollen face against it your see that it’s the block of ice – looking back you see Deidra, who looks furious and mad with rage, physically pounding on the ice with fiery fists and shattering the blocks of ice while Ekkel throws fireballs at it around Deidra. The block of ice is not even two feet thick at this point and quickly diminishing.

They’re so close… so close… just a little while longer. Not even a minute to go… maybe forty-five seconds? Thirty? I just need to hold on…

Your entire body hurts, especially your face with Skin-Walker hugging it; you will the latex mask away and let your skin breathe… which hurts like the gods themselves decided to go a few rounds with you, but the sting isn’t as bad as the pressure of your bodysuit. Your hair falls down to your back in your ponytail and you look upon your assailants with your own eyes. Lipper and the monk stand in front of your with the leader elf behind them, and to your dismay the entire crew stares at you from the end of the hallway. Crojac and Uma take up positions on either end for ranged support, Jin and the Oni run up and flank the leader, the half-orc continues to carry Lyra at the very end of the hallway looking at you warily, Hal, the cleric, and to your surprise Bo – you imagine the cleric has something to do with that – hang back with the mage and succubus, though Bo clutches his side with pain while holding up his crossbow and Hal carries his axe and leans on it for support after the beating you gave him. You figure this is it: do or die time. You groan and stand up straight, pressing your back against the ice block and clutching your left arm, babying it. More bad news as you feel the power that you summoned wane away, leaving you with considerably less power as the calm from before vanishes.

This day just keeps getting better.

You shift your short sword in your hand and bring your arm up, thrusting down and planting your enchanted weapon into the block of ice behind you before reaching into one of your satchels and grab your magic potion, popping the cork to the vial and downing the blue liquid inside. Your blood burns with magical fire and energy, and you simply drop the glass vial on the ground and hear it clank at your feet.

Uma readies her punches, Crojac nocks three arrows, Bo further back has his crossbow aimed at you, the oni glows bright red, the leader glows blue, and Jin glows bright yellow as apparently she’s carrying a yellow magic crystal. They’re all ready to strike if you make a move.

“You are a very pretty girl” the elven leader says with a courteous smile “Stunning in fact. A beautiful goddess with fiery red hair… just the one we’re looking for. This is your last chance to come quietly. We need you alive and by Katarrin we are going to do that, but like I said if we need to beat you to a bloody pulp and leave a few scars on you then we will. Lay your weapons down and come with us. You may keep the sac, but no magic, and if you make any moves other than that then we will not hesitate to introduce you to another realm of pain”.

You spit out your pacifier and grin mischievously at them despite the pain. “Listen, if you wanted a good time then all you needed to do was ask. I’ve been known to give freebies out, and I’m not one to shy away from a group. Why don’t you drop your weapons, otherwise I’ll have to lay into you some more”.

The elf smiles but his words are cold as ice as he says “No more stalling, smartass. You have five seconds and then things get much worse”.

Not a whole lot of options. Either give up or get fucked, and not in the fun way. If I can just hold them off for maybe thirty to forty more seconds then I’ll have Deidra on my side. Hell, blinking might do me good, but I only have enough juice for one now. Not really enough time to do a dance. Arm is fucked, I think my nose might be broken, I’m exhausted and if I’m being totally honest I’m more pissed off about my coat getting torn to pieces! Still have my lightning whip, hells of a lot of good it’ll do me though.

You gaze down at your right arm at the lightning whip, figuring you have about five more uses out of it before it too abandons you. You figure you need a whole lot of luck if you’re going to get out of this one.

C. Rift Abilities
C1. Magical Suppression (25 MR each use): Can only be used on living beings. Only works by touching target. Blocks magic use of target for ten minutes.
C2. Blink (35 MR each use): Can be used in and out of combat to instantaneously transport self within ten feet of current position silently and with only a barely visible blue haze as any indication of its use. Can be used in combat to get behind enemies resulting in sneak attack criticals. Cannot go through solid objects.
C3. Lust Strike (10 Lust minimum required. The higher the lust the stronger the attack in intervals of 10. Foot-Fighting only skill): Use lust to increase the damage of your kicks proportional to the amount of lust you have. The higher the lust the more damage is added to the attack. Lust is expended upon usage. Can choose how much lust to use, but at least 10 is needed.
C4. Lust Burst (100 Lust each use): Concentrate your lust into a devastating explosion that turns your own lust and arousal against enemies. The explosion burns for minor to major damage on explosion and minor damage every round for four rounds. Damage is non-elemental and cannot be resisted.
C5 Lust Wave (75 lust each use): Harnesses your body’s lust and amplifies it into a wave of demonic, pink lust-fueled hellfire in a one-hundred eighty degree arc in front of you for major damage released from your hands. Causes knockback. Travels only five feet in front of caster horizontally.
C6. Passionate Release (Expels all Lust): Caster harnesses and gently expels all lust from the body, inducing a climax… without the mess. Drains the caster, decreasing chance to hit and dodge by a minor margin and leaves caster physically weaker, but appears more charming to those around her. Lasts 3 minutes.

D2. Blue Magic Crystal: Ice: Level 2/4: Charges (2/4): Ice Shield (1 Charge, 15 MR): Cold Spray (2 Charges, 30 MR). Can use Blood Magic with. (Twenty-four hours on first recharge)
D3. Yellow Magic Crystal: Lightning: Level 2/4: Charges (0/4): Lightning Bolt (1 Charge, 15 MR): Lightning Whip (2 Charges, 30 MR). Can use Blood Magic with.
D4. White Magic Crystal: Light: Level 1/4: Charges (1/3): Flash (1 Charge, 15 MR) (Flash blinds enemies and damages undead). Can use Blood Magic with.
D5. Aqua Magic Crystal: Water: Level 1/4: Charges (0/3): Water missile (1 Charge, 10 MR). Can use Blood Magic.

E. Dances (Skill 2/4. Cannot use Stripper dances effectively due to bulky/less revealing clothing! All dances – except Strip Dancing – lower dancing skill by 1)
E1. Belly Dancing: Uses 10 MR or 20 Lust and bestows a minor physical hit reduction to enemies and a minor bonus to Colette’s to hit. Lasts for five minutes.
E2. Strip Dancing: Strip Dancing (and FULLY stripping, barring weapons) requires 30 MR or 60 Lust and bestows a major overall hit reduction to enemies, mild bonus to Colette’s to hit bonus, and a mild bonus to Colette’s overall damage reduction. Also rapidly increases Lust regeneration as well as halves dancing time thus halving negative penalties of dancing and attacking. Lasts 10 minutes.
E3. Pole Dancing: Requires 15 MR or 30 Lust and also requires a pole (or something similar) nearby to utilize. Sends forth a burst of pure magic that homes in on all enemies and deals minor to mild damage and knocks them down for a single turn. Single use.
E4. Line Dancing: Requires 25 MR or 50 Lust and bestows Colette with rapid MR regeneration and gives a minor magical damage increase. Lasts 5 minutes.
E5. Amazonian Veil Dance: Requires 25 MR or 50 Lust and bestows Colette with a mild damage bonus and +1 skill bonus to all offensive weapon skills (2/4 Hand-to-Hand becomes 3/4, etc.). Lasts 5 minutes.
E6. Lap Dance: 25 MR or 50 Lust required to use. Drains mild health and MR of target, target instantly loses an action turn, gives mild health boost. Lasts five minutes.
