Serra Angel is horrible. Compare it to the new angels. 10-15 years ago it was a good creature, but now it's just fodder. Here are some at it's CMC (we'll ignore the higher CMC ones that just break the game) that make it completely obsolete.
Don't get me wrong, I loved serra angel for years. But it's outdated now.

This one's actually under CMC. Pretty cost effective way to shut down a swarm deck without wasting a wipe or space on a specialized token wipe spell.

Yes, I know, ya plonker. I have physical copies of all those angels. I just take a look at Linvala, Keeper of Silence and see that we've moved up on the power ramp.
