Oh fuck yes.

OH. FUCK. YES.

Only thing that annoyed me a little bit was how intrusive the Z.TV. in the bottom right felt, but that could just be me, and it didn't really take away from it overall.

And yes. DAT ENDING. Definitely have to sit through the entirety of this one. Fucking hilarious.

yeah, I would become a member if that would be possible...
Zone are the charming fellows who (with help from others) caused Hongfire's forced relocation and subsequent banning of all downloads.

All this while THEY are the biggest pirates in existence, ripping off all kinds of characters and making money off it. Somehow I don't think Warner Bros approved them turning "Teen titans" into animated child rape porn.

Hypocrites and lawfags profiting off of the same behavior that they themselves practice (except HF charges and attacks nobody), they can burn... and so can anyone who pays a penny to them.

Re: Zone

Zone is part of hentaikey but to my knowledge is more of an employee than a director of any sorts

Your point is still valid I guess, but you're pointing your finger at the wrong source.

Fact does remain, hentaikey rips off pretty much everything and has little to none original work, them complaining about "theft" is ridiculously ironic, but sensibility has been long gone from any interaction between copyright and the internet.

It's been quite a trend among corporations to lie about their product failing because it gets pirated (we didn't make a crappy product! It's all the thieves fault!)

Anyone who's been paying any attention to the last few decades will recognise how moot this entire copyright sham is, music has been "stolen" ever since people could privately record music from the radio over 30 years ago and the internet did little to change that, games too have been copied illegally for as long as the medium as existed, the only thing that has ever changed over the years, and will keep changing to avoid whatever dumb protection people think of next, is the method of theft.

Re: Zone

I have to say that Wakfu was probably in terms of erotic flash animation probably one of the best I have ever seen. I'm not really into girl on girl but that was just amazing. Best of all, I just heard about this thing today so I didn't really have to wait for it at all. I guess that's a good balance to the years I have been lurking the LOK boards.

I believe that what they are doing is legal in some sort of way. They flashes they make are parody- like en there are special laws that protect parody's and allow them to use works that are protected by copyright.
Although I dont think the direct copying of the actual wakfu sounds is legal.

As for hongfire, I dont think we have the complete right to be mad about that. Since what hongfire does is spread tons of illegal downloads, and we happily download them. At the end we and hongfire are well aware that this is illigal and know that there is the risk that that forum will be taking down, and that company's like hentaikey and hentai foundry as well are authors like z0ne have every right to take it down. I think being mad at the people for taking hongfire down makes you quite the hypocrite. (no offense)

Re: Zone

If you click the weird eyeball creature during the credits you get to see it all.

She's hotter than both the main characters. Honestly my favorite part was the pound between Fluffy and Zone-Tan. They should be having lesbian sex.

Re: Zone

Geugeug, learn the words you want to use before actually using them

Based on the context, you have no idea what the term "hypocrite" means. A hypocrite is someone who imposes rules and such on others that they have no intent on upholding themselves, for example a thief that gets angry at others for stealing.

The comment that was made before was regarding hentaikey shutting down the download section of hongfire (it was theft, and in that, fair.) however, the issue here is that hentaikey themselves "steal" the creations of others for personal gain (hell, personal gain isn't even part of the deal with hongfire so go figure, they'd actually be worse than the entity they shut down)

Regardless of what hentaikey is doing being considered "parody" or not, the facts remain the same, they steal the creations of others for their own profit without any kind of consent from the creator, there is no moral difference between stealing, and stealing and getting away with it.

That, is the basis for the argument as to why the people behind hentaikey are hypocrites (but lets be honest, there isn't a single being out there that isn't, to some extent) and why some people chose to dislike them, and it does feel rather strange to be stealing the creations of others (for personal gain) but then complaining about it when others steal from you (no personal gain)

Lastly, I'm not sure about U.S. laws but I'm fairly sure that the act that allows you to freely copy the creations of others for the sake of parody bars direct sales (i.e. you can make a comic of a character or mention something in a skit but you cannot then sell that comic for profit, though you can profit indirectly through traffic/advertisement etc) and that would make what hentaikey is doing just as illegal as what hongfire did.

Hope to have enlightened you a bit.

Oops... yes you are right, sorry, I tend to post things too quickly. (bad habbit)
I like Z0ne as an author and was a bit annoyed by the post that I quoted.

As for the wrong usage of the word, I indeed never looked it up. I just assumed that I knew what it meant, after seeing it used in multiple situations.
While I think that my assumption wasnt that far of, I still used it wrong and let me make a fool of myself lol...

About the parody thing, I meant it only for Z0ne, not hentaikey or the other websites that are connected with it.
I dont know how that law specifcally works I just wanted to indicate that it isnt intirely illegal what Z0ne is doing.

You can make a parody then sell it. Problem is, parody involves some degree of commentary on the original work or creator(s), though, which doesn't apply whatsoever to this stuff.

I would say that Zone's creations involve a significant amount of outside work from what I've seen. Some of the sound clips are taken from other sources, but original artwork. He could probably get away with the artwork he's using, as it's all original, but may have an issue with using characters. The sound is clearly a copyright infringement, if it's from another source.

I'm not sure how this, overall, would be interpreted under the Fair Use doctrine. It does seems to meet that it's a transformative work, but in a direction the courts generally don't like.

Re: Zone

Some graphics (the background) are copied as well, but the point of discussion here was hentaikey which isn't the same as zone (he falls under their subscription plan but to my knowledge isn't directly a part of it)

I can't imagine zone, who posts a lot of his work around for free himself, to be involved in shutting down part of hongfire, which makes mentioning him fairly irrelevant.

That said... I apologise for derailing the thread, it's probably best if we end this topic for now.

Re: Zone

So clicking the eyeball creature during the credits is the only easter egg in this one?

After watching the first season of Wakfu when I saw the preliminary sketch-boarding for the flash I insta-bonered for both of those girls.

I can't take the Juri flash seriously for two reasons:

1 - The fucking easter egg. Gotta love Rina-chan.

2 - I played her non-stop for several weeks and can only imagine that goddamned ultra when you click for the round win.

The Juri flash is still one of my favorites though.

Re: Zone

I think Konata should have a ps2/3 controller or be on her computer somehow.

I don't have the Juri flash either now that I think of it.

I know the first make was late with the sound, but the second was suppa-fine.

Wakfu was easily the best work he's done yet. It was so well done. Even the spoken french kinda turned me on lol.
