Re: Mitsuko X Space Escape

Yes, the only way to see new enemies is buying the game from Dlsite when it's complete.

Seriously, I'm doing this for all of you, personally, if I were following a game that is adding bit by bit to a free, downloadable demo, there's no way in hell I would buy it when it's completed, why? because I would have seen ALL the game has to offer, the few things they could have added from the last demo to the complete game surely wouldn't make it for the price. I want the game I'm buying to have as much new things as possible, that's why you won't see anymore enemies until then; it doesn't mean I'm not working on more though, the wasp sprites have been done since a while; just need to code the sucker in, but I'm waiting to do so because I'm going to revamp the enemy ai so they have more patterns attacks and such, and another enemy is close to completion.

Honestly, is totally on my expectations that more than half the ppl that know about the game stops following, I know better than anyone that I'm slow as all hell, but I'm not worried about that, when the game hits dlsites and such, the shock alone that the game was actually completed will be enough to stir someone's curiosity...right?

You don't have to reveal anything new, just explaining what's been done in the period of time is fine (like the wasp part of your post)

There's another blog I've been following, and the last 3 months or so (they only update once a month) has been essentially "still working on it, please wait" which led to some flaming replies.

Re: Mitsuko X Space Escape

The small update he released actually fits better the way enemies knock her out, since before they send her flying and suddenly turning around when she fell on her back?

making her spin while being knocked out, actually gives more ''realism''

Oh wow, didn't realise he'd actually started putting out updates again.

Are there any new enemies/animations since the release from years back?
Wolf is getting re-animation designs (still not yet done, look at his progression bar)

From the sneaky gallery peek (when you complete the game 3 TIMES different difficulty, you can see 3 silhouette's) the bee, some jellyfish and i have no idea the other one.

I don't completely agree with this train of thought, I'v purchased movies and games that I'v gotten for free before and have played/seen all the way through. Why? Just because I like it that much that I think they deserve some of my cash. No, I'm not saying that you should go ahead and add some more enemies to the demo. I'm saying that if the game is good on its own (and at this current pace its shaping up quite nicely), it'll sell.

Sorry, I didn't meant it on the sales view, I thought that example will do. I meant it in the way that someone would have already experience all of the game, even if someone buys it because they like it, it doesn't change the fact there's very little to explore on said game, that's my main goal, that there's as much as possible to experience, new, to experience when the game is done; and it doesn't feel just like another small update.

I agree with a previous poster that a diagram of some other monsters would be enough of a teaser to keep many people interested. Not even any of the scenes, just the things you will potentially be encountering in the game.

I'd be happy if there was more to play and the story/mechanics would somehow lead to the H-scenes.

Also, why would the same mob always behave and animate the same? There could be scene-specific content.

Delete your old save
Did that and it worked. Thanks.

As for the content in the demo/beta versus the retail version debate: Just wait and see how the game sells first? There will always be plenty of humble pie afterwards.

Your game once complete will actually be one of the best h platformers in existence. But could science please make cryogenics possible/accessible before hand? I got a thing for your games protagonist and it hurts knowing there will be a full game with her but I cant have it now. Freeze me now plox till the game is out.
Really? I mean, I haven't played a demo in a while, but I haven't found it much more than middling really, which is why I remain confused at it's length of development.

I believe he's said a few times that he gets distracted easily (TERA being the main culprit lately) and that he's lazy at times.

Wholeheartedly agree, I don't know why some ppl say such good things about it though, I personally think it's pretty boring, current state that is, that's why I thought it would be a good idea to ask for the things ppl didn't like, but it turned into a bug report feast, which is good I guess, it wasn't expected but I'll roll with it.

Incidentally , while reading these comments, I was trying to go in my mind through all the bugs reported, inspiration suddenly struck and I realized an easy fix for one of them, one of those "how didn't I saw that" type of fixes, so yeah, crazy thing. Gotta go fix that right away before I forget.

Re: Mitsuko X Space Escape

Needs more boss fights imo like some Metroid-esque bosses each requiring an interesting new gameplay mechanic to defeat -- and make them HUGE too :D

Can I also suggest playing w/ the background more. Not alot of platformers these days (well at least the 18+ ones) allow interaction/feedback with the background. I cant give a solid example at the moment but one way to achieve what Im suggesting would be by animating the background so that it appears that a flying enemy is chasing after you in the distance but isnt allowed to enter the foreground until u reach the end of the level and he swoops in from a window *crash* *begin bossfight*. idk this is just one idea to give more life to the atmosphere, so to speak.

I'd also recommend buffing the daggers and nerfing the spear a bit.

The daggers are pretty useless, even with high strength i'm only getting 1 damage on my attacks, and with no stun and low dps they don't do anything.

Where as the spear has range, damage and stun potential, its just really strong. Even better against the wolves now since their attack is a lot faster.

What I'd suggest for the weapons:

You could give each weapon a modifier or element like you did the guns...and you'd have to switch between them to deal with certain obstacles or enemies. Hot key them to 1-5 or however many you plan on putting into the game. That way you could switch on the fly and it would be a bit friendlier. So, you'd hit 1 to switch to your flame weapons. Your A is your melee, your S is your gun. Something like that.

Dude, apart from all the bugs and shit there is gold in your work.

The premise is perfect. A girl trapped in an isolated place in space filled with horny monsters. There is no one who can help her if(when) she gets in trouble.

The character is cute and sexy and her voice and sounds are perfect for how she looks like.

The horniness meter is a simple mechanic, but great because it has stages. Reluctance, acceptance, enjoyment.

Her changing facial expressions, sensual movements and poses she takes as her arousal rises are the cherry at the top of the cake that makes it so good.

All these little things you have done so well that even noobs see the potential of your game. Some of the game mechanics may still be clunky but the H side of the game is perfect enough to forget about the bugs.

I would actually like an option to decrease the rate at which arousal gauge fills up. I rather like some of the early animations but the meter fills up far too fast for me to really enjoy it to the fullest.

I think the biggest deal with this game is the animations are great and there are very few 2D H-game metroidvania-style platformers which feature furries. Even if she's mostly human, she's got enough to called a furry and there are very few furry H-games in general, and this one has a lot of what others lack.

Also, in addition to the animations being great, the gameplay is smooth and has a very good balance between the H content and gameplay. Most platformers either have poor gameplay and level design and the game is designed around fucking everything if front of your or perhaps the gameplay is solid but the H content is lacking. This does both well and still manages to strike a good balance between the two.

I don't know about other people, but I always assumed the free version was a 'proof of concept' version rather than a 'beta' or 'trial' version. (The weapons are blatantly incomplete)

If you look at things that way, the game is pretty damned impressive. (Ignoring the development time) Good controls, good combat, large maps, exploration and leveling up systems. Its never going to be picked up by a publisher, but (minus the porn) you could put it on a portfolio and seriously turn some heads (in a good way).

Re: Mitsuko X Space Escape

You shouldn't be judging this game by whether or not it'd be picked up by a publisher, by how many copies you could sell if you self-published or went through DLsite or whatever. This game was just a thing you made over a long time to dick around and figure stuff out, both in terms of technical skill, and in terms of artistic skill. You made it with no other goal in mind, so why judge it against games built from day 1 to sell well or get published?

Re: Mitsuko X Space Escape

Sometimes I´d lik to think that Uriel has already finished the game with levels, enemies and new items just waiting to be added and that this is nothing but a big tease as he finishes polishing small details. But I know that´s a lie, however.
As I´m waiting for an AKABUR game that isn´t complete trash I´ll wait for this game man even if it takes another 6 years.
