Re: What is your Ideal/Dream H-game
Top-down "GoR" homestead/town management RPG with sci-fantasy setting on an untamed garden world.
I put GoR in quotes because it doesn't necessarily end the game or take that character out of it.
Think Phantasy Star fucks Fable.
There's a time mechanic like harvest moon and each season on this alien planet presents a new challenge, not necessarily making the game more difficult, but changing things substantially. The protagonist isn't one character, but your entire colony, you just play the leader, or acting leader.
Of leader characters, you must designate or train a hero, an NPC at this point becomes a PC and gets a stat boost.
An optional plot line can give the game progression increasing the difficulty as it dawns on you and your colony you are not the first visitors on this planet.
Town management starts simple with different leveled structures/facilities, the first one is the lowest level and each subsequent level is better, with maybe a tech branch here or there. The tech branch is reversible but costs time and resources/currency to undo. Some upgrades and tech branches require story missions or sidequest completion before they can be obtained.
A certain period of time, say a game month, is punctuated with a progress report. Each progress report is an evaluation by the homeworld, earth-like etc, and covers casualties (Including injuries), heroes MIA, resources collected vs spent, and colony progress. this are cumulative and once a year, a ship arrives with more colonists or resources. You want more colonists, resources are only given when you're below what you should have, and after too many resource shipments, it's easier for your homeworld to just evacuate and abandon the colony. If you're constantly getting resources, some colonists might have decided they want to go home instead and even leave.
The player specific mechanics I think would be top-down and real time. You could have one NPC companion and one NPC pet following you. The companion is a hero that can't be made a player character, once you designate a hero as a companion, they can't be played as. Depending on the obligatory "will" stat, they may attempt to rescue you if you are defeated, or run away depending on number of enemies. If they run away, you'll likely see them again when you select a new character to fill the previous leader's role. If they rescue you, you will likely keep your character but may lose theirs. To prevent this, you can order them to leave you behind while captured.
Spouses also count as companion NPCs, because there should be spouses, but they won't just up and join the new player character's party just like that. You might get them to go with on the pretense of rescuing/finding the body of their now missing significant other.
Maybe there could be some tactics RPG/XCom type thing to train up hero skills.
Fetishes covered:
Impregnation/Oviposition
Tentacles (A must have)
Parasitic mind control and MAYBE futa
Standard M/F, not necessarily in that order.(Didn't think all the colonists would be coming on a ship, did you?)
That warrants F/F and M/M just for equality's sake. I'd say these should be dialogue or menu optional.
I'd say beastiality, but the creatures on the planet would all be fictional and only analogous to real world examples.
That's all I can really think of, but no reason to not have more. Nothing's more of a mood killer than scat, though.
And no, there'd be no zombies, maybe something as an analogue/stand-in involving aforementioned parasitism.
I'm not gonna cover the plot as I kinda hope someone picks this up.
Ideally, it would be in flash, as there's more freedom there than in RPGmaker.
Oh, and it would be in English for once, Christ. Animated CG's too.
