Rumia was invited to test a new technology. She was given some background on the company and the technology itself. All that was probably grand and all but it was going in one ear and out the other for this 18 year old. Having an eyepatch over her left eye, she would keep the technician that emerged to greet her facing her right side so that she could more easily see her. This nerdy man who looked like he was more of a gas station attendant than a technician had the name "Rizzo" visible on his suit.

After exchanging a few pleasantries, the pair would walk through a hall that would make you think that it were a hotel as there were doors lining the walls every 20 feet or so. Turning right at the end of that hallway, they finally arrive at the room that Rumia will be using.

"Please, take a seat in the pod so we can get you started."

This would be about all that was said by this man. As he would leave shortly after securing Rumia in the pod. As the door closes the pod activates and a screen comes up listing options that are seemingly to be selected. Some options were already filled in, though it looked like she would be able to make any changes she so desired.

Weapon of choice: Mage Staff
Element of choice: (Pick a school like fire, ice, or something similar)
Humans: Y/N (if Y, frequency of 1-5 where 1 is rarely and 5 is often)

Extras: (Put whatever extras you want right here, I'll do my best to add it in wherever I can, also add a frequency to whatever you put in if you don't mind, it'd help me out a bit.)

With this screen completed another set of variables are displayed:

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

Rumia sighed as she settled down in the pod. Truth be told, she didn't understand all that much about the technology used in this place. Sure, it was probably impressive and all, but it was hard to stay impressed when you knew so little about the topic. The unimpressive appearance of the technician didn't help. Still, he was pleasant enough, and after a short while she was secured in place, ready to start.

Keeping him to her right was something she did without thinking. She was too used to having one eye less than most people, such actions were second nature to her now.

The option screen that appeared before her afterwards was a little suprising. Blinking, Rumia took a moment to familiarize herself with the selection, frowning as she considered her options. After a moment of intense thought, she finally began to fill out the selection.

Weapon of choice: Mage Staff
Element of choice: Fire (I was born, BORN to spec fire!)
Humans: N (Boring.)
Male/Female: Y-5 (Duh.)
Female/Female: Y-2 (... Not my thing, but might as well.)
Pregnancy/egg laying/seed implantation: Y-5 (Why the Hell not.)
Birthing: Y-5 (Would be weird not to.)
Non Consent Sex: Y-5 (Kinda the point of this exercise.)
BDSM: Y-4 (Might be fun.)
Slavery: Y-3 (Oughta shake things up.)
Monsters (Tentacles & Slimes & Likewise): Y-5 (Gonna be funny if nothing else.)
Mythical like beings (Angels, Succubi, and other stuff I can think of like this etc...): Y-3 (Might be cool.)
cybernetic enemies (Robotic tentacles, androids, and other ones of the like): Y-3 (And this might be hilarious.)
Anthros (Catgirls, Wolfgirls, Bunnygirls, Cowgirls, etc...): Y-4 (... Why not.)
Fey beings (Nymphs, Elves, etc...): Y-3 (Should be kinky.)
Body modification (You can gain tentacles among other things during the game): Y-2 (Only a little bit.)
Corruption (Your character can become corrupted, which can lead to some serious side effects in game, though what those are won't be known until they happen): Y-4 (Sure, why not.)
Roughness: (How gentle are the monsters when you lose?): Rough

Extras:
Mind control, drugs: Y-4
Parasites: Y-3
Vore: Y-3

Describe your desired setting: Fantasy, dungeon crawling in an ancient and abandoned by civilization complex

Difficulty: Medium

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

(Feel free to describe what Rumia is wearing, as the real world and egg world are not the same. I do not want to assume that her bio is for both outside and inside of the egg)

As the pod accepts the inputs from Rumia, the pod starts to process something and then seems to completely stop. No sooner does Rumia blink her eyes than she is now standing in the middle of what looked to be an archaeological dig site. As Rumia looks around, she could see signs of where the workers were trying to dig as small sections were roped off. Further searching would reveal a backpack laying along the ground along with a fairly sturdy albeit plain staff that Rumia may want to look into.

Aside from that, the only real place of interest would be the carved mine shaft going into the mountain face that is mostly surrounding this dig site. Rumia could certainly look around more among the smaller dig sites, but at a basic glance there looked to be nothing of value among them.

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

Rumia blinked again as she suddenly found herself in a whole new world. Curiosity taking over, she takes a moment to look around her, taking in her surroundings with a bit of fascination. She had to admit, this was really impressive. Everything felt so real - were it not for the fact that she knew her real body was securely locked in a pod that allowed her to experience this artificial reality, she never would have realized this was just a game. After a while, the girl finally stopped looking around and took stock. She was wearing her chosen ensemble - black boots, kneesocks and shirt, white vest and skirt with a red trim, and a red tie. Aside of that, she had nothing.

Taking another look around, Rumia noticed a staff and a backpack, lying to the side. This had to be her starting equipment and supplies. She walked over, picking the staff up, then moving to check the contents of the backpack to confirm what she had to work with. Once she finished taking stock, she put everything back into the backpack and put it on. Staff in hand, the young girl - now a mage - faced the entrance into the mountain. "Here we go." With trepidation, she set out, entering the mine shaft as she began her journey into the unknown.

(Also, shouldn't it be 5/5 FP, 0/10 AP? Or was there a change in the system?)

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

(Lol, quite right, I did transpose those stats.. hurr durr)

Rumia would take stock of her surroundings. Finding a staff along with a backpack, she would look inside the backpack to find a bracelet, some thread, and various colored cloths. It looked as if the bracelet was of some importance as once it came into contact with Rumia's hand, it activated. Looking similar to a digital watch, the face of the bracelet had only the word "Fire" listed on it. There were two buttons, one on each side of the bracelet. Aside from that Rumia fairly quickly surmised that the remaining items in the backpack were all to be used for repairing her clothing if she so chose to do so.

Rumia would proceed forward into the mountain face and into the mine. Soon thereafter the first shock to the system would reveal itself. There were bodies here, and very unmistakenly lifeless ones. A quick look would reveal that they were robotic in nature. Soon after this Rumia, distracted by the spare parts strewn all about the area would move over a pressure plate that saw one of the robotic constructs activate.

Rumia was now confronted by a construct that was likely meant to repel unwise invaders. The construct was 6 feet tall and missing its left arm. Its legs seemed to work rather well as it was moving toward her with some good bit of haste. It was still far enough away that Rumia would be able to get a shot off unhindered, but she would have to make a decision on what to do, and soon.

(The construct animated itself behind you out of the scrap heap, so your method of escape would be going further into the mine. There are no currently visible side shafts)

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

Rumia tensed. It seemed that this was some kind of a sentry golem meant to repel intruders. Whatever ravages it was subjected to damaged it, but didn't destroy it completely. Frowning, she considered her options. The only way to escape was further into the mine, and there was a chance the damn thing would pursue her. It was best to try and dispose of it, rather than risk being distracted by it later at a potentially bad moment. All she had with her was her staff and the odd bracelet, which she guessed was some kind of amulet that allowed her to use whichever magic she chose. And speaking of magic, now seemed like a good idea to try some. Standing her ground, the girl focused, concentrating on introducing her new target to her - hopefully working - fire magic.

(yes, training ground battle go! of course the dice can hate on anyone so.. no guarantees.)

Rumia would survey her options fairly quickly. A robot in front of her, and an unknown behind her. Rumia chooses to deal with the known and fires off a bolt toward the robotic construct.

Rolls:
Rumia 5 - 3 Robot - Hit
Robot 2 - 6 Rumia - Miss
Rumia 8 - 10 Robot - Miss
Robot 9 -10 Rumia - Miss
Rumia 11 - 3 Robot - Critical, Defeated

Rumia was able to get an unhindered fireball off and it impacted the robot with some authority. Knocking the robot off balance as it tried in vain to attack back. Rumia was unable to score another hit as she was a little more concerned about getting out of the way of the robot swinging at her again. Rumia saw an opening after that miss and fired off another blast that was a clean hit. The robot was sent flying against the side of the shaft and broke into many pieces upon landing on the ground. The few burnt remains would get enveloped by the dust and sand moving along the floor.

Rumia was victorious in her first battle here in the mine. There was nothing of relevance or perceived value that she could find in the remains. The robot was already in a fairly decayed state when it had activated. Unless Rumia were to simply head back outside, there would be little other option for her than to proceed forward. When she arrived at the first juction there was a number pad on the wall. Two doors were beside this pad, one leading to the left and one leading to the right.

-------
|1|3|2|
|7|7|7|
|2|8|?|
-------

Seemingly another puzzle. There was a full number pad with the numbers 0-9 laid out before her. It was very likely looking for the last value in this string of numbers to be input to unlock the doors.

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

Rumia watched the smoking heap of scrapmetal with satisfaction. Using magic up close wasn't easy, but that second fireball was rather spectacular, in her opinion. Sadly, it seemed there was nothing in the remains she could use. This victory opened the way out of the mine back for her, but there was probably little point in returning outside. With a shrug Rumia turned to make her way out of the mine, then paused for a moment. She checked the bracelet she found in her backpack earlier. After putting it on her left arm and ensuring that it was fastened properly, she continued to move forward, trying the two buttons on the item to see if there'd be any effect.

Before long, the girl found her second obstacle - a puzzle. Giving the two doors a look, Rumia moved to examine the panel with numbers on it and frowned. Puzzles weren't exactly her strong suit - she wasn't terrible, but hardly an expert. Usually she arrived at the proper answer through experimentation. This puzzle wasn't making things any easier for her, too. It was a number puzzle, and that meant she had to find the pattern behind the digits to solve this. Problem was, there were no less than two or three patterns that came to her, and she had no idea whether they were right. She could try guessing, but with ten possibilities and potential traps hidden in this place, she most likely couldn't afford it. After mulling on the problem for a while, Rumia sighed and decided to choose the number 4.

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

(Sorry for suck post in advance, its 1 am and I can finally access the site after almost 9 hours trying.)

Rumia now at the end of the entryway to this place, was confronted by a number lock. The numbers were arranged in a way that someone who knew the code could enter the missing number to gain access. Rumia pondered the arrangement of numbers along the grid and determined the missing number to be 4. This was incorrect.

The panel turned red, and what looked like an alarm system was turned on. Rumia however was not affected by anything it seemed for the time being, though it was likely another wrong answer would trigger the alarm mechanism.

(If you guess wrong again, it will cost you 1fp but the door will open anyways. Sorry again i can not make a proper post from my phone now.)

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

Rumia sighed. It seemed that she was one step away from triggering some kind of alarm mechanism. That was bad. Sadly, her attempt didn't bring her any closer to finding the right pattern, merely let her discard a wrong one. Shaking her head, the girl spent several agonizing minutes trying to work it out before sighing again, picking another possible pattern and inputting her answer.

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

(The correct answer was 5. The number in the third row was the average of the first and second row numbers in that line.)

Again Rumia would input a number that was wrong. This time she was zapped by the console. Rumia could not possibly have avoided this, and the shock was enough that she could feel it, but certainly nothing life threatening. This sudden output seemed to overload the console itself, triggering the doors to open.

What Rumia would find is two small corridors roughly long enough to allow for people to gather in a group of about 10 to maybe 15 at most then head to the stairs that were readily visible at the end. To the left, the stairs went upward. To the right, the stairs went down. There were no signs in the hallways themselves as to what these stairs would lead to. There were no signs of anything really in these hallways for that matter.

Rumia would have a choice to make with which area she would choose to explore.

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

(Fuck, didn't consider it could be read horizontally as well.)

"Gah!" Rumia winced as electricity shot through her. It was unpleasant and somewhat painful, but thankfully nowhere near enough to do really serious harm. Slightly winded, she glared at the now slagged console - the damn thing didn't even have the decency to remain undamaged enough for her to fireball it in retaliation. At the very least, it seemed that the overload (caused most likely by pre-existing damage, if this system was as badly wrecked as the construct she destroyed earlier) opened the doors for her. Now she had a choice - go up or go down. After a moment of deliberation (and catching her breath after the shock), she chose to take the stairs on the left, and see what awaited her above.

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

Having received a small shock to the system, Rumia would realize the solution to be something she did not think of. Taking a quick inventory over herself, she saw that she was fine save for the shock. Now with the doors open, she was able to see the beginning of the layout with stairs going in opposite directions on each side. Rumia would choose to explore upward and head to those stairs.

The stairs spiral upward for a while and end up about 300 feet above where she started the climb. This opened into a fairly wider corridor that lasted about 20 feet and another large room was visible at the end of this particular corridor. The doors to which were propped open and one was simply falling off of its upper hinge as well. If there were anything in this room, it was not visible from the top of the stairs where Rumia currently stands.

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

'That was one Hell of a climb.' Rumia mused as she glanced back. The stairs went on for far longer than she thought they would. Still, now that she was finally at the top she could consider her next move... Which would be moving further on, apparently. She was left in a corridor, with a rather promising - if ruined - doorway in front of her. If gaming taught her anything, there was something to be found inside - even if it was just another fight. The girl began to move forwards, then paused after a few steps. It was probably in her best interest not to enter the room rashly. First, she decided to pause and rest a bit to try and recover from her earlier shock. Then, she'd move forward to see if she could examine the room from beyond the doorway, learn as much as she could without entering. Then she'd make a decision.

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

Rumia was a little winded from her ascent up the stairs. Where are the elevators on these damn things, right? Noticing what she figured was an obvious trap, she took the time to rest herself up before moving on.

Hearing nothing while resting, Rumia starts to move toward the doors. Again she was unable to hear or see anything that would be an immediate threat to her. With what she could see, this looked like a long abandoned gift shop or cafeteria like area. Circular tables were seen in a fairly standard pattern throughout the room. Since she was trying to peek in at an angle, she would see only the walls of the mountain, though the lighting was not what it should be.

There was something different about the other side of this room, however it was unable to currently be seen what it was that was causing this. Along the wall she could see, it looked as if there were two small doors basically placed at the 1/3rd and 2/3rd points along the wall to the end wall. The far wall again had two doors, but they were similar to the one she was currently standing outside of. One looked like it was meant for people to exit the area, and the other was to allow people to enter the area.

Rumia would likely have to enter this room to be able to investigate it further.

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

Rumia frowned. The room before her was curious. The lighting was off, and there were a few doors of unknown purpose. Besides that, however, there was little she could tell. The girl had to other option but to press forward - steeling herself, she cautiously pushed the semi-open door out of her way before moving inside, staying on alert in case of traps. Once within the room, Rumia scanned it again to get the full picture.

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

(Damnit, I closed the window right when I was about done with this post...)

Rumia would find little of interest before actually entering into the larger room. Once she entered the doorway she could see a few vine plants placed around the area. One such plant had a robotic construct similar to the one she encountered earlier tangled within. Some of the vines were wrapping themselves around a few choice places on the robot. A rather erotic scene if it were not for the futility of it all. She would almost instantly see what the light source was as well, as they were apparently high enough on the mountain to see what was on the other side of the cliff wall from where they were. It looked as if there were a facility of some kind down there as there was an artificial cover overtop what would otherwise have looked something like a dormant volcano.

The vine plants were fairly well overgrown at this point. The method that they received sunlight was fairly obvious, but how they were receiving water was still a slight mystery that Rumia may invesitgate if she so desired. Throughout the room there was little else of interest. Whatever was here simply ceased to be, possibly lost to time itself. There were 4 doors that Rumia could investigate were the desire to move out of this room hit her. The two smaller doors along the side wall, and the two larger sets of doors at the far side of the room.

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

"Interesting." Rumia glanced at the tangled bot. It was unusual that the plant was wrapped around it in such a way, though not entirely unexpected considering the game she was playing. The scenery was quite impressive, though, and it gave her a bit of insight on what kind of place she was visiting. Still, there wasn't much to do here - the furniture was of little interest, and she was not about to fiddle with the captured machine. Not after the last one.

Taking another look around, Rumia decided to investigate the plants closer. They had to have some kind of water source around the place - perhaps there was some kind of crack around that lead to a water tank, or maybe a mountain spring. If she could find and trace the roots of these vines, she'd have her answer. She took care around them, though - it was impossible to tell whether they hid any suprises for her yet.

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

Investigating the plants further, Rumia would see that there was some manner of a soil that was visible through a few spots in the floor where cracks started to form. Potentially there may be some manner of small water delivery system throughout the floor she would surmise. Certainly nothing of real interest as of yet. However the only way to investigate this further would be to interact with the vines directly in some form.

Rumia could see a few places where she could get her hand into the soil, but would being so close to the vines be such a good idea?

Re: Rumia (cross_grave)

"Well, that answers that question." Rumia muttered. There was soil, which meant there was a water source nearby, likely underneath. Either an artificial system made by the creators of the complex, or a natural one that slipped through the cracks. Either way, it was obviously enough for the plants. The girl glanced at the vines, then looked again at the bound robot. Her eyes narrowed as she contemplated further investigation. In the end, she decided against it. There was no way in Hell that the bot's situation was just a coincidence, and in the end it was just her idle curiosity that pushed her to check the plants out. Sighing, the girl turned to face the side wall of the room, inspecting the two smaller doors. After some consideration, she chose the one on the right and walked up to it, intending to open it and see what's beyond.
