I keep the ashes of my cat on the table she used to like to lay on, in the sun and among the potted plants she used to push around. Something like that would probably be nice, though I'd recommend keeping it in a place well out of reach of children.
Awww, that sucks. I love chocolate labs, I used to take care of one every once in a while for a friend, and it was the nicest dog in the world. I'm sorry for you. Did you bury him, or did the vet cremate him?
Don't worry about it, if you've got more important things to deal with, you should deal with them first. If stuff like that happened to me, I probably wouldn't be online much myself either. I'm sorry to hear about your pet dying, it always sucks when an animal you've cared for dies. What was it, if I may ask? Five years seems too short for a dog or a cat.
