*poke* So, about dividing line weaponry for the furballs. Would guns based on accelerating projectiles to relativistic speeds via a small, shielded sub-space distortions be acceptable? I'm thinking small-caliber bullets for personal weapons and guided missiles for ship-to-ship weapons.

The way they would work is that there's a small engine in each missile that moves to the edge of subspace and converts to energy, propelling the projectile while bleeding the excess energy to subspace, thus minimizing the recoil.
