I don't expect him to fight for me or anything, but he should at least know something about what's going on or be willing to help me fetch gear, since my intro said he was the one who called me to this city.

Is my 3 point contact really going to say that he refuses to do something as simple as writing down some information for me so I can start my little newspaper?

On a side note, I'm wondering how time passes in this game, is it individual base or is it as a whole? (ie: How long should I wait before it's "evening" for my character?)

He'll still give you information.

but he should at least know something about what's going on or be willing to help me fetch gear, since my intro said he was the one who called me to this city.

He called her because she wanted to find a story, his only interest was getting paid to fly her around.

He hears what's happened in the past via the women staying in the hotel, and can tell your character all about that, including various rumors floating around, but I can't have him reveal the whole plot, or even large chunks of it through magical means.

He'll bring gear to you from Jesse's stock should you be out of the hotel, but he won't go out on his own, with monsters that will kill him on sight running around.

Usually RaptorJesus will announce a 24-hour deadline until he flips to the next day (hopefully this time in the Discussion thread and not in one of the extraneous missions -- I nearly missed the last one!) and that's a good time to go into 'evening' play. :D

She's not asking for plot through magical means. She's just asking him to help for what he called her out there for. Getting the story (as it unfolds), talking to the girls on her behalf, getting general information on monsters or other information she can write into the paper.

The way he's acting it feels like he's not even a contact, but just some random person that Azure bumped into and needs to charisma check information and help out of him. If that's the case, why did I even take the contact bonus?

He'll give her all the information he gets, but Azure is making it out like she wants him to leave the safety of the hotel, which he's not about to do.

He'll tell her all about what he's seen happen, and the rumors floating around, but he's not about to do all of the work for Azure. Things like gathering supplies for printing papers are beyond what he's willing to do.

And I'm sorry if I'm making him seem difficult, I just didn't want contacts to seem like robots that obey every command. :p

She went out of her way to ask him if he could merely request girls do the job while they're out anyhow. And to ask them about things so she has content to write things for the paper. She's not asking him to put himself in any danger at all. x-x

I'm fine other than my inability to get any missions started. I've tried twice now and been shut down both times.

They say third time's a charm. But I don't have a third idea. I've got nothing left kicking around.

And you might want to bring a gun or two cause I heard some Mountain trolls live there, and be sure to bring a lot of herbs and look around for ammo when you have time. Be careful when you try to use wall jump, I heard you need to have screw attack to be able to do it there, but the screw attack that can found inside the mountain could be a virus so be sure its the not fake one. I also heard that if you walk 3 steps inside the cave you would never get out again, and no worm hole, magic, warp devices, restarts or loads, can ever save you from that everlasting space, and you can never die, and your penis will disappear! Now my fellow Forum members! GO FORTH AND FIND THE TRUTH! Oh and if you don't jump into the cliff and bring back the Ring of Glory which is said to be invisiable you can't come back! And the Ring is defended by Zombies that regenerate and respawn within a second's notice! So you might want to turn that off by going to the 4 corners of the cave, and going through 4 different boss fights to deactivate the system. Now, I bid you luck.... *The games forces you to go in the cave and you cannot exit.*

I'll move the day ahead when women start to get tired, like Claire's case. Your stamina goes down slowly all the time, and you also lose some when training, or when getting raped.

Once I see people getting tired, that'll suggest they did a day's work, and I'll set the 24 hour timer for the next day.

No doctors or nurses will help with even so much as a minute of their time to answer what equipment she'd need. RJ recommends Azure wanders into the hospital clueless and grabs things at random again.

Start a local newspaper with helpful people to spread knowledge for the girls.

Azure's approach:
Talk with girls, talk with contact, ask for people already going out to keep an eye out for equipment. Ask contact to help write the paper. Once arranged, go hunt for materials personally.

RJ's compromise:
Girls at the inn are unhelpful or downright rude. Contact refuses to give any useful info. Contact refuses to pass on the mission side-mission detail. Contact refuses to help in any other way, including coming to Azure's room to help write the paper. Oh, but Azure can go do everything entirely herself.


If those are the "compromises", then Azure doesn't see any reason to attempt either mission, because even if she succeeds in getting loot, it will be completely useless for her once she gets back to the inn.

Maybe I should just aim for something so stupidly huge that the compromise will be somewhere near what I actually want Azure to succeed at.

I'm curious as to what made you think Emily is a heavy hitter.

Azure hasn't managed to do anything for the past two days (IC), so she's very eager to go do SOMETHING, and unlikely to want to wait around stupidly another day, especially after her anger at her so-called contact.


Anyone that wants to follow her is free to, but she's not going to sit around like a moron for another day waiting for nothing to happen.

If any of her original ideas actually worked, she would've encouraged a group to come with her, but the constant shunning she's getting by NPCs and even her own contact, are making her very anti-social.

I, Kayi, am trying to get a mission started for my character, Azure, who has been sitting around stupidly doing nothing for a good long while now.

Her original attempt at getting doctors to give her suggestions for gear was shot down, because apparently the doctors don't need any gear anymore, they're content just sitting around watching the women give birth to monsters and killing the monsters.

Her second attempt was to try to organize a newspaper or other media outlet for the inn so everyone can learn what's going on. She attempted to ask her contact (3 point cost) for help doing this instead of dragging a bunch of other player characters into the initial work of getting it going, and he shunned her badly, effectively telling her that he's not going to be her contact anymore.


Now that both of those mission ideas failed miserably, Azure's goal is nothing more than to go to the hospital and get gear for purely selfish reasons.

Anyone kind enough to join her will be free to benefit from what she learns, of course, and maybe we can get the missions back on course. Otherwise, she's fast becoming anti-social thanks to the fact even her supposed contact is being an asshole towards her.

P.S. Just so there's no misunderstanding, I don't think RJ is trying to stop my mission because he doesn't like me. I think he wants it stopped because he doesn't know how to include the aspects of the missions I'm trying to go on into his stats if I succeed in any of them. It may very well be he's worried a successful mission by Azure may unbalance the game. I don't know what he's thinking.

Or who knows what else it could be. I'm only guessing based on what I see going on. So please don't think I'm trying to gripe about unfairness or anything like that.
