I recommend talking with the people that are online the same time as you are, that helps with getting things moving along during the mission, as everyone is around at the near same time.

Anyways what may happen is Iris, and maybe Emily is she wants more abuse, is going to sign up for a mission. Your character could run into her at the mission board and ask to tag along or something.

If RJ chooses to say she does a dozen laps around the building, nothing happens, and she goes on the mission, that's fine by me, but Rivers been trying to do this since her first post of the day, I've just been away for most of it. I considered having her do some sprinting up and down a hallway inside instead, but it's way too crowded.

I think Lin's getting ignored because, for starters, she basically got drunk and passed out for much of the time she was around, and now she's asking a question that could be assumed to happen away from the lime-light -- though you never know, someone might enjoy writing something to do with imminent bladder release. o.o

I'm here abouit 14 hours a day, on average. The only times when I can't at least check here in an average day is when I'm sleeping or en route to/from my job. I was kind of slow today because for the first two or three hours the only way I could read a page was by skipping to the bottom and reading upwards, as something was stopping the scrollwhenn on my cell from moving down. As of fifteen minutes ago (midnight at GMT-7), my usual start time was five hours ago, or sometimes two or three hours before that, depending if I sleep in or not. I plan on remaining on for at least another eight hours, minus an hour in the middle to drive home.

As for Devild, he seems to be on at least as much as me, just scattered throughout the day, as he seems to check his RP or two and leaves.

If you decide that neither of these fits your schedule, that's fine, though I was really hoping to write something with you, you're really good at it :)

Every time that I've tried to get anything going in game it has seemed like something has come up to. . . geez not like stop it from happening because if that was the case I'd be like "Okay, no problem" and move on to something else. . . but instead it would be like people would want to do something but random junk would get in the way and nothing would end up happening except for me being in a holding pattern and so I'd feel like 'any second now, player X will come back and then finally things will get good'.

I guess a lot of it has to do with my weird RP quirks of wanting to interact at least a little in-character before it makes sense for Caitlyn to wander out into life or death situations with someone.

(Also there's some minor frustration from the fact that it seems like I fell into some design traps with Caitlyn. If she had been built as a heavily-armed, combat badass, dangerous loner type she'd be happier going out by herself. As it is I put a bunch of skill points into "Research" and other non-combat skills that don't seem to do anything at the moment.)

I can understand that, I'm actually finding it funny how much everyone thinks of River in terms of combat. I gave her one point in knives, guns, and brawl so she knows what to do with them, she's actually much better at simply scouting, or running away. I can think of at least twice where it would have been easier to just book it, but then her honourable pops in cause her teammates are gettin raeped :)

All in all, I feel your pain. Some of the confusion with me today came from you guys having a conversation with her in the shop thread, which I hadn't checked before making the post that really frustrated you. I didn't realize that entire half of the conversation and the meeting of Vina had gone on there, so that all messed up.

Also, the whole 'River's a combat monster' thing wasn't directed at Caitlyn specifically, it just seem every mention of her name seems to be 'yeah, sh'ed be good in a fight', which makes me giggle. So far her reputation seems to be based off of one incredibly lucky roll, and one empty clip of .32 ammo, which just makes me giggle harder. Caitlyn seems to have one of the most solid reasons for wanting her along, with the whole nearly fearless thing. I guess juping off buildings for her job kinda gives her some good coping mechanisms, most of which include jumping off buildings, go figure XD

So, whether or not you want to wait for Vina to re-appear, I'll keep an eye out for a post. Chances are you already made one and I came here first, or you made one up while I was writing this here block of text, so if either applies, nvm :)

The only thing that make the short sword slightly better than the knife is it's weight, allowing a better cut. Although the difference is hardly noticeable.

One thing you could do to make your knife that you have right now better, is to get someone who's good at crafting things to make it really sharp, giving it a temporary damage boost, the length of the boost depends on the levels of success the crafter got.

I'm in GMT-7 for timezones. Tomorrow (in game) I may have Claire go out again, depending on what's going on. She'd be in it for getting supplies, just to show she's useful with finding things once they get past the monsters... she just needs backup to get her to the source in the first place so that she can use her made 'notice' skills!

:x If the sniper mission wasn't a one-person job, she might even do okay once she got there, if someone was watching her back. I did create her to be a researcher, scavenger/finder/moral-booster... she just sucks at it when she can't get out of the home base and gets depressed by that.

She doesn't even really trust Shiva, and has no idea that some of the girls bombed a den full of victims to lose her in the first place -- if she did know, she would probably say the warrior deserved it, not realizing what was at stake.

(Oh no, the game has a finale?! I hope it has a sequel! D:)

eta: For times that I'm on, it's usually from around now (8AM, GMT-7) until about 5PM sporadically (as I'm posting from work and sometimes get distracted!) then a two-three hour break for transit and spending time with my SO/eating/etc. Then from 8PM-10PM a little less sporadically. X3 It also depends on how much writing juice I've got in me... if I'm not feeling it I tend to lurk but not post as much.

Honestly, Caitlyn can be talked into scavenging for pretty much any kind of supplies. I just suggested the medical supplies to give us a general goal. I'm fine with looking for whatever people want.

I'd also potentially like the "More Survivors" mission, but like Shrike said there's a bunch of people signed up for that one already.

Has anyone explicitly said they want to go for it recently? I'd say, PM RJ about taking that one -- if anyone else had actually grouped up and gotten ready to go, they'd have done so already. Caitlyn's had lots of IC reasons to go looking for other survivors, so it makes more IC sense that she (and maybe convincing the others?) go on that trip. :P As far as I've seen, everyone else just crowed that they wanted it OOC... which seems unfair.

Build up your reasons for doing things, folks! People will be more interested in what happens to your character and want to interact with them more often! (Or that's my mindset, at least. XD)

Also, you two are both in close proximity (-7 and -8GMT respectively!) so... while RJ only seems to come on later in the afternoon, you could probably get a lot of posts in while he is online. :P Maybe ask if Vina doesn't mind tagging along, and do some chattering to draw out the time between when monsters attack/something happens so that devild can hop in once the action starts?

4pm-6pm:wake up. leave for work as near to 6pm as i can, if i wake up earlier than that i am usually online

7pm-4am:working. constantly checking up via cell phone, posting as well, but at a slower rate. if it's slow at work will hop on a public computer for a half hour at a time, get lots done.

5am-8am: back home. rapid posting, catch up on everything, usually up until 10-ish, but saying 8 'cause i want to try sleeping earlier.

it's around 10:30 am now, and imma going to bed. I'll check when i get up, but tomorrow might be slower than usual, RL interference. Nightie Night!!

XD I'm here during a lot of the dead time, too. Maybe we need to arrange ourselves so that we have our characters doing things specifically during the morning, and specifically during the afternoon (or day and night, though IC nights are mostly sleeping, I imagine!) -- that way we can have our characters in a hunting/mission thread AND a character-interaction thread at the same time... so long as we clarify that they're not in two places at once.

Then again, that'd cause some discrepancies in the event that something drastic changes. :x

Maybe RJ needs to pick someone to take up the slack when he's offline, at least in the hunts/missions that aren't central to his overarching plot? (waggles brows at DeMatt hopefully!)

Possibly every game day there could be a seperate thread where RJ could post the missions and people could sign up. No chat, no RP, no OOC stuff. Just character name and mission preference.

We could still try to coordinate amongst ourselves to make teams in this thread or IC in the inn or Jesse's shop. But the mission thread maybe should just be for missions and nothing else to help RJ.

Okey dokey, I figured out how we can make this whole group thing much easier.

Just make a post, saying you're signing up for a team. After the first three sign, they'll be team number one, then the next three will be team two, etc, etc.

After a team has been formed, you all can decide as a group, which mission to go on.
