Not true. You can spend a day training with NPC's or characters or alone to gain exp points. Reguardless if your stats are not to your liking you could ask Raptor if you can adjust them.

Most places are heavily looted already so you're all going to have to hit a bunch of placed in one trip if you want to bring back a good haul.
You might get lucky and hit a place with a lot of stuff.
But that isn't very likly.

1) I always like to listen to the GM when I'm playing in someone's game. I figure if it wasn't important, he wouldn't have reccomendations.

2) I worry about diminishing another player's fun by being either a dead weight on the mission or making their plans fall apart because I fail at too many things. This ties back in with point one, I guess.

But that's just random personal neuroses.

I had thought we were vaguely planning on rolling out to an apartment complex or looting homes. The police stations would probably end up being in the same condition as the gun shops from the previous day. I wouldn't mind taking a shot at a sex shop, really, if we're in good condition after we get done with our primary searches. Like River and Caitlyn's booze run :D

I dunno. I think Emily could pretty much intimidate anyone in this game. She even managed to make Shiva waver in her decision. I'm pretty sure the intimidate roll works against Will and Shiva had the same willpower as Caitlyn.

for the psycopathic designed girls Vina is crazily powerful with that bat of hers yes :(, i went for something different to everyone else i saw how all the characters had a high dex maybe gun proficiency, and seemed to be multi talented so i went for the niche, and its interesting have no dexterity, means that Vina needs to make sure she gets the attack in first while she is powerful she has some major flaws in combat, and personality.

as for bigger parties i think leaving it at 3 should be the way, one of the things i feared for the fallout 3 pbp i tried thinking up was that parties would overwhelm the numbers etc.

There are plenty of other girls looking for missions so it shouldn't really be hard for everybody that wants one to find a group.

3 makes the best "large party" size.

One person always has a risk of easy capture.
Two players can struggle together to keep monsters off one another.
Three lets the group concentrate fire or use strategy to handle combat.

More than three... doesn't really gain any further advantages, but starts to slow down the RP dramatically. Three already gets slow enough. It also causes extra strain against the GM for needing to play so many parts against a group at the same time.

Hrm... just going by the "Character Creation" post, I think only Dexterity provides a direct mathematical effect. Perception may kick in, but I think it's just DEX.

Skills that would assist tactically (if not mathematically) would include Notice and Stealth - the former to spot your enemies earlier, when your ranged capabilities are unmatched, the latter so you can play "stealthy sniper".

They're wearing that so they can identify who's from the prison, and who's not. If your group managed to get their hands on those types of rags, other people wearing the same things might be like, "Hey buddy! You lookin' for loot to?"

Heh. First off, I think I'm glad I'm not on the "more survivors" mission. I mean, the director gives of a bit of an evil vibe but she's also strongly opposed to the woman who wants to wake a god who will rape us all. Somehow I get the feeling this other group will give off a good vibe but be moving *toward* waking this god...

And then... I don't think I'm going to be able to "do" anything important in the rest of the in-character day. Orange stamina without a hint that the day is nearly over is like an invitation for me to fail a solo-loot run. :P

Azure's approach was going to be more mild, but I've realized that RJ's plans are exceptionally loose at times, so the best way to handle it is to play hard and fast and make him settle into one path before stepping back and continuing at a more reasonable pace.

In this case, the best option I saw was for Azure to blurt out everything she knew about the director and the group once the road was started so we could close off all those nasty forks.

Her original goal was going to be to just try to get more information about the jail, but that was being shut down, repeatedly, at every turn (sound familiar?), going so far as for RJ to make up a reason why an untouched girl is running around in rags.

So I decided that pushing us into an irreversible plot course was worth it, even if Azure does seem a bit bitchy by doing it. Though I do feel bad for being forced to take this approach.


I did just want to be flirty and playful with the girls. *sighs* Shame that my approach never works out until it ruins all of my original plans.

I like to make it loose to give the players the option of choice.

Azure wasn't asking the right questions, you were asking me OOC to make them just blurt out everything, which is not how I roll, son. Although the questions she did ask were answered, the NPC's themselves answered in a way they thought was appropriate, and not based on a die roll.

When I mentioned sightings of girls in rags, I never mentioned that a single one was clothed differently, already having in mind a method to identify them as the women based around this quest. I find it funny how you're saying I made it up after the quest started. :D

And I to, find bumps in the road along my plans, and that's when you get cranky. :(

Hey now, I'm playing nice.

I was just growing tired of the pointless conversation dragging on forever. Azure was asking very clear questions trying to get answers and they either answered in a way that avoided divulging information, or they were honestly answering everything they knew and they're just useless.

Either way, it became obvious after the fifth string of questioning that nothing was going to come of it. So in order to avoid bullshitting around for the next three days playing twenty questions until I find some tiny, insignificant fact that ends up being totally useless anyhow, I took the initiative.

Since Azure couldn't get information from them, she put herself in a role where she has information to give them, even if it's bad news.


And as much as I disapprove of needing to take this position. I far prefer this role than the role of standing around like a moron while the plot stagnates.

Drowning yourself is one of the worst ways to go. The panic you suffer from lack of oxygen makes drowning oneself a very undesirable way to commit suicide, in my opinion.
