If your interested (or too confused to know whether your interested) in SBS, just say hi in the noticeboard/discussion thread and we'll do out best to explain. It's the oldest game on the forum, but despite it's long and bizarre history, you don't actually need to know what's going on. You have a character enter the school, and you see where it goes from there. Your character wouldn't know what had happened before they got there anyway, if you see what I mean. There's no numbers to crunch or complex rules to get your head around, just simple guidelines and general RP common sense. The fun is in the freedom of characters, and the freedom of having them interact with the others around them and seeing what happens.

One thing worth pointing out that Raptor Jesus missed there, is that SBS is a non ero RP. Being a hentai forum it's not like it's outlawed from the game or anything, but it's not the focus if that's what you might be looking for.

I've also been interested in Monster Girl Island lately myself, though have been having trouble getting my head round what's going on in it. Not had any inspiration for a character to use in it yet, which is very strange for me. I guess it's a similar story with any in-progress-RP.

As for the happenings in MGI, it's pretty much similar to how SBS works out when you join. When you start your 'adventure' in the world, you get filled in on what's happening and what you can do about it as you go along.

Military, and actually it's not really the height part that bothers me. It's the fact that everything we jump out of leaks like a sieve, and feels like it's going to fall apart on you. Plus my bones and muscles are rather fragile, so really it's not the heights I'm afraid of it's the ground.

Ah, I did it with civvy side as a tandem jump. Never did get my paratrooper course, despite being in a jump company. From what I've heard though, military style is much harsher on the body.

I suppose not. The big difference is height. Civvy I jumped from like 13000 feet, while the military generally goes from 1000 feet. So between the quick freefall, and opening chute, you don't have nearly as much time to slow your descent.

13000 feet, good lord you could take a nap on the way down. Yeah a 1000 feet goes quick especially if you have a mortar base plate strapped to your chest. I actually got stuck in mud once because of that durned thing. Had to actually e-tool myself out.

Not to suggest that you're wrong about disregarding it's text, but considering all the people who quote the bible, you can tell them how their quote is wrong even by their own standards. I'm aware there are several lines from the book that are often referenced and almost every one of them doesn't actually directly refer to homosexuality in it's modern form or isn't supposed to be applied to regular followers of the bible. You're not wrong, but the problem you're having is that you're applying logic to something that was founded with logic, but no longer uses that. In a country where the president can declare a "national day of prayer," we all realize that religion IS a strong part of everything. Even if someone says that religion isn't directly the reason, the morals they distill from it still effect their political decision.

The biggest non-religious problem that people bring up sounds completely ridiculous to any person of reason, and that's the universal problem of the "slippery slope." The concept of the slippery slope is where do we draw the line, but I have NO IDEA how anyone can say with a straight face, "Soon, people will want to marry their pets!"

Reason for joining:I have been a fan of Linemarvel's work since the beginning even when I was underage, but stopped following around the time he posted his last blog entry. I used to checked back every once and a while to see what was going on. I eventually decided to move on to other places in life and on the internet. As a lurker never deigned to interact if possible.
