The internet is the perfect time capsule. Especially for those who vaguely remember odd commercials they had seen as a child.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyvKTUFGxZw#t=49s
I think 90s commercials were more entertaining than recent ones. But I just wanted to ask, what old memories or nostalgia has the internet brought anyone?

My god, I remember those. Especially the Life Savers one. My favorite are always the 90's cartoon theme songs.
(Net's being a pain, but if some of the shows mentioned in the comments are shown here, then I know this is a good vid to put up. Apologies if it's sucktacular *laughs*)
Theme songs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J_h5XKELvc&feature=video_response)
Edit: Watched it on another comp. Read the side wrong, but some of the ones they picked, I can thoroughly get behind, especially since as soon as #10 came on, I immediately started singing along.

Flight of Dragons!!!!!!!! I love that movie! Makes me cry every single freaking time I watch it!
And truth be told, this doesn't have to just be 90's stuff. It's just...nostalgia. Considering I grew up a child of the 80's, I'm more inclined to remember TMNT, Smurfs, D&D, Mr. T., Muppet Babies, *tries to think of all the cartoons flipped through as a child* Had a bit of a blast from the past the other day. Found an old C.O.P.S. VHS at a rummage store. Part of me wanted to pick it up. I still might go back and get it *laughs* Problem is, it's part 1 of 2, and they dont' have the other one. Blah.
And, lest I forget, what kid didn't want to be this guy? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXGr3aBln38&feature=PlayList&p=A7ADBF26D5B5955E&index=13) (At least in the heyday, hehehe.)

And you wanna talk fun searching? Friend and I went crazy bonkers trying to find the name of this ice cream thing they had when I was a kid. Finally found it. Ah, the original Nights into Dreams. I had to search for that one for a while. My friends had a Saturn, but I didn't know them until college (which was late 90's) I grew up with Nintendo, though I did have a game gear.

I never got to watch Captain N, only Super Mario and just the slight bit of the old Zelda cartoon.
Though, now that I think about it, it would be a treasure trove for Nintendo to dive into; Playing as Captain N going through the different worlds of the Nintendo franchise? It could be their answer to Kingdom Hearts, though it might be a licensing nightmare...
Also I noticed an odd series I never seen before in the themes that I looked up: Cybersix. Anyone recall this one?

@ Newbie: Huh... never watched that. Then again, I was an after-school Disney channel watcher. Saturday mornings were reserved for cartoons like this: *snikt.* (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PrvRnjJ0HY)
@ Obe: Cool, I'll have to look up that list.

Not Saturday morning Disney for me (never got the channel). All that was on Fox in the afternoons, so I got my Ducktales and Talespin after school, heh.
And yes, Saturday was reserved for X-Men. Again, on Fox. Which had way cool cartoons when I was in junior high, until they decided to cancel all of the cool ones and put on the crappy new stuff. I was soooooo pissed they canceled Escaflowne for some stupid robot dinosaur cartoon. Although watching the anime uncut and in its entirety...not exactly the perfect choice for Saturday morning viewing.

This is weird for some reason I apparently stopped watching cartoons before Hope and Copper. The last cartoons I remember watching every day was G.I.Joe and Scooby-Doo. Of course it could have been because I never watched all that much tv after I got old enough to join organized sports. Could be the channels I watched too, I guess.
Hopeyouguess62

Hells yes, G.I.Joe (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnuGhuNZnFs) was the shit. Also:
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiUrTHYVLP8&feature=fvw)
Transformers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CIt2VvPJ8o&feature=related)
Thundercats (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Na8ThDftsKk&feature=related)
Silverhawks (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzAQu23t19A&feature=related) (somewhat less popular than Thundercats, never quite achieved the "cool retro" status)
And that was the first decade of my cartoon watching life, pretty much, apart from Hanna-Barbera and Scooby-Doo, which wasn't particularly memorable...
Also, I was surprised to learn (via Wikipedia, source of all data questionable) that people who worked for the company that made Thundercats and Silverhawks went on to form Studio Ghibli.
Edit: Okay, I know splicing things over the 300 trailer is an old joke, but I really enjoyed this one: Funny Stuff IMHO. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_mDHNhO6Pk&feature=related)

I stared out watching ABC though the only show I can remember from that era was The -Real- Ghostbusters, then I graduated to FOX for stuff like beast wars, and the cartoon Carmen Sandeigo (better theme song IMO) I miss the days of saturday morning cartoons, these days it's either stuff like that's so raven, (God I hate that girl with every fiber of my soulllllll....) Or Dora level educational shows....ladies and gentlemen...the endtimes are upon us. Learning.....on saturday morning.

Well, I was a child of the 80's and a pre-teen, teenager in the 90's, so those are my eras of cartoon watching. I remember when "Secret of the Sword" came out IN THEATERS, seeing the My Little Pony movie, the Transformers movie and, of course, this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DN034sBeF4c). Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Batman, all that came out when I was older (15+) but I still enjoyed most of them. It was when Nickelodeon and the other stations started getting into stuff that was more gross out, stupid humor than, say, The Tick or X-Men that I stopped watching most cartoons.
And there's nothing wrong with a little education on Saturday mornings. That's when the local stations here used to run Bill Nye, the Science Guy. And I'd much rather see kids watching Blue's Clues and Dora than some of the stuff that passes for entertainment these days.
