After being let in by the same guard as before, and being asked to trade for an extra set of panties, the woman leaned forward, ready to make a bargain, "What'd ya have in mind to trade?" she asked Selena.

River had a relatively safe trip to the prison, while the most she encountered were more women who were obviously from the prison, due to what little clothing they were wearing, who waved at her kindly as she passed them.

River eventually arrived at the intercom she remembered Regina took her to, and the camera turned to look at her, adjusting it's lens as it did so. She heard a woman on the other side speak to her through the speaker, "Ah, Regina said you'd be showing up," she said in greeting to River, "I'm gonna let them know you're here. You wanna wait come inside while you wait?" she asked her, not waiting for an answer as River heard the door unlock.

River just shook her head.
"Nope, if Daisy has such a short attention span, let's give her something to focus on, eh? I'll be watching the door for when she pops out." She says with a smile, giving the camera a wave and heading back to the nearest building, using a crate and dumpster to boost herself to the fire escape and walking up that to the roof.

After waiting only about a minute, River heard none other than the eccentric Daisy come running out of the doors. The crazy looking blond girl looked up at River from the building she was on, and gave a haughty laugh, "Regina said you could keep up with me!" she shouted, "So, I wanna play a game of tag!" she declared, shaking her arms playfully at River.

Daisy suddenly darted at an amazing speed, a little faster than River, and rather than using the dumpster for a boost, the small girl leaped at a wall, and kicked off of it violently, catching onto the fire escape, and quickly running up towards River, clocking in under 15 seconds.

Daisy smiled confidently at River, leaning towards her playfully, "Catch me if you can!" she bumped against River a little too harshly, but soft enough to let her know she was playing, "Tag, you're it!"

Daisy suddenly took off away from River at full speed, and cleared a large gap between the building they were on, and another with ease. She turned back to look at River, smiling at her as if mocking her, "think you can beat, that?" she taunted her, pointing at the gap she just cleared.

River had been sitting on the corner of the building, legs from the knees down hanging off the edge as she watched with approval.

"This... Is going to be interesting." She says with a grin, throwing her weight backwards and kicking her legs up, turning her sitting position into a backwards somersault, breaking into a run straight at the gap as soon as her feet hit the ground, sending herself over it at top speed.

( While jumping around on buildings would require a little more than a level 3 acrobatics skill, it's possible for River to accomplish, while she might occasionally muck up, and miss a ledge, causing her to catch onto it with her hands. When it comes to keeping up with Daisy, rolls are going to be made to see who will out jump the other. But, just simple acrobatic maneuvers, like the back flip from where River was sitting, tricks like that, can be made without rolls, but since Daisy is competing with River, rolls are going to be made when you try to have River catch her. )

River runs at full speed, and adequately jumps the ledge, catching a lot of air time as she leaps, while landing on the other building firmly on her feet. Daisy squeaks when River clears the jump, and quickly takes off once more to another building, leaping seemingly better, and with more elegance than River, as she makes it look easy. This time, however, Daisy didn't wait for River, she seemed ready to let River show what she could do, ready for the red head to give chase...

River happily obliged, wasting no time in chasing after her, trying to stay to the left side of the shorter woman to herd her towards the center of town, where things are slightly more vertical and her taller frame might have an advantage. nearing the next ledge, she threw herself over, already planning her next jump...

River easily cleared the next jump, feeling her skill returning to her grandly, as she clears the next jump with even more elegance than Daisy did.

Still running, River saw Daisy jump too soon. Too eager to get away, she let out a scream as she misjudged the distance on her jump, and barely caught on to the edge of the next building. While Daisy had no trouble pulling herself up, River knew that all she had to do was make the next jump, and she'd catch the little blond girl...

Landing with her heel on the ledge of the new building, River let herself fall forward to a 45 degree angle before kicking off, hitting top speed again almost immediately. She let out a gasp when Daisy nearly fell but redoubled her efforts once she was sure the girl was fine. She sent herself over the new ledge with a smile, if she hurried, she'd have the chance to get her tag in simply by helping Daisy up. Of course, that could mean that Daisy would have a chance to tag her again before she could get off that rooftop, but a roof's headstart seemed to be part of Daisy's unspoken rules, so maybe not.

River easily crossed the next gap, and landed on the next with grace. With Daisy still hanging on the ledge, she pouted as River reached down to grab her, "No fair!" she complained, as River hoisted her up. The little blond girl seemed to give up on the game, and started to lightly, and playfully, beat on River's shoulder with balled up fists, hitting her lightly, over and over again in a childish fury, "You cheated! You're a cheater! You dirty rotten cheater!" she accused her in a whining voice.

River just calmly accepted the rain of blows, smiling gently.

"I do have a better frame than you for this, sure, but from what I saw you can handle yourself well enough. Go again?" She says lightly, giving Daisy a tap on the head and backing off a bit, taking off as soon as she was sure Daisy would follow, heading towards the center of town again.

As soon as River darted, Daisy was quick to follow. They hopped across many buildings, going at a steadier pace as Daisy chased her, forced to wait up for the poor girl, or else she might leave entirely. However, during their leaps, River accidentally made a small foul up, which she normally would have corrected, until the blond Daisy leaped after her a split second after, and collided with her.

While the two landed on the building, they were sent tumbling along the top, with Daisy sealed to River's back. When they stopped rolling together, River found herself in an embarrassing position. She was face down, with her rear in the air, while Daisy was laying on her ass. Daisy arose in such a way that her hands placed themselves on River's rump, and quickly gave a squeak as she realized what it looked like she was doing to River.

"Eek!" she squealed, backing off of River. She was blushing, and it appeared that something stiff was growing in her panties, obviously her asset.

"W-what were you doing!?!" she blamed River, not wanting to accept the blame herself, "Why'd you jump so slow!?! That-that was your fault!"

River got up, rubbing an elbow she landed hard on. her eyes widened at the sight of Daisy's... Yeah, but she tried her best to ignore it.

Giving off another squeak, Daisy ran off, and the two of them played tag across the city buildings for quite some time, until they both found themselves getting tired of hopping around on buildings.

Near the center of the city, on top of a gym, River and Daisy were resting on a vent, in order to catch their breath under the hot sun. Panting, Daisy looked over to River, "I don't wanna play anymore..." she complained, waving her hand at her face in an effort to cool herself.

River sits leaned up against the vent, running a hand through her hair as she gets her breath back. "Yeah, that's enough for today. One more time back to drop you off, or should we just take the street?"

Daisy looked insulted by River's suggestion, "Hey!" she shouted, "I'm not some little kid!" she kicked River in the shin hard enough to cause a shock of pain, "I can make it back on my own, thank you very much!" she said with no respect, as she walked angrily away from River, until she got near a ledge, where she got a running start, and leaped to the next building.

River just sighed, standing up and running to the same ledge, leaping over. "I'm not saying that I don't think you can't handle yourself Daisy, I'm saying that I'm not leaving anyone alone out here." She says simply.

As River leaped onto the roof Daisy was on, she turned to the red head, her mouth tilted at her, "And what about you?" she asked, poking River's belly button through her armor, "I'm not about to leave you alone either!" she claimed with her fists on her hips, as if that was her own idea, "So, what we're going to do is drop you off at the hotel!" she said with determination.

"Only one problem with that." River says, shrugging. "Remember that guy with the rifle you met at the mall? He's sitting on top of the inn, and I know for a fact that he doesn't like you."

Daisy suddenly smiled with mischievous glee at River, "Oh! My pony!" she exclaimed, "I wondered where he left, I checked back at the mall, and he was gone! I definitely would like to see him again! Hee, hee!" she laughed with a slight tinge of mischievous intent.

"Your Pony?" River says incredulously. "Be that as it may, I really don't think he wants to see you, Daisy."

Daisy's expression was suddenly distraught with confusion and misunderstanding, as she tilted her head at River with a raised eyebrow, "... Why not?" she asked the red head, ignorant of how close she actually came to having David blow her head off, absolutely convinced that David and her hit it off as soon as they met, even though David likely showed nothing but hostility.

River just sighs, patting Daisy on the back. "Honestly, I don't know why Daisy, men are just silly like that. Come on, let's get you home for the night, alright?"

Daisy sighed, lowered her head, and shook it back and forth in annoyance with River's necessity to watch over her like a child. Daisy, being smaller than almost every woman around her, absolutely loathed even the mere suggestion that someone is treating her like a child. Given her behavior, and her size, similar to the Director's, it makes perfect sense why a lot of people assume she's naught but a little girl.

"Stop treating me like a little girl!" she demanded, stomping her little leg on the ground angrily, as she picked her head up, and looked at River with conviction, "Regina said I'm supposed to make sure, you were safe!" she told the red head, while poking a finger between her breasts to address River, "And Regina always knows best! So, I'm going to make sure you're safe, 'cuz Regina said so!"

River sighed again. "Look, I'm not treating you like a child, I'm treating you like a friend. Tell you what then, we'll both go to the prison, how's that sound? I'll be safe, and you won't get inside David's sights. Deal?"

Daisy seemed not to be against the idea, but soon gave a little chuckle of confidence at River, removing her finger, and then using it to scratch her nose, "Hee, Hee, he wouldn't hurt me!" she boasted, "But, alright. I'm sure Regina would be happy to see you as well!" she told her, before darting off again with renewed vigor, sporting once again that she was faster than River, even if only a little, right before making a well placed leap to the next building, a little higher up than the gym they were on, and grabbing onto the ledge, slowly pulling herself up after.

Turning back around, she waved at River to follow, and waited on the higher building for her to follow.

River just grinned, running after the girl and making the leap in the same spot, reaching out for the ledge of the building.

No longer in a rush, River did what she does best, and easily met the other building with her hands, and before she could pull herself up, Daisy quickly came to her, and grabbed her wrists, helping her up by pulling on her, until River was standing on the building just as Daisy was.

Daisy chuckled at River, and said jokingly, "Saved your life!" with a mischievous laugh.

River laughs, standing up and looking around at the scenery. "I guess we're even then." She says and sprints off, headed for the side of the building, where the rooftop entrance sticks out beside the wall of another taller building, a small gap about four feet wide between them. she does a two-step wallrun on the building, her third step hopping over to the other wall, and does two steps on that, gaining height before jumping back over and reaching for the top of the first wall...

(Edit: Well, I consulted the book, which I added in that one post in the discussion thread, and River can only perform all challenging, and few difficult tasks. Wall jumping like that is a Very Difficult task, which River cannot perform, with her slightly above average skills in acrobatics)

After leaping from wall to wall with skill only equaled by the highest of professionals, Daisy was shocked as River actually made the jumps, and caught the side of the roof she leaped for, pulling herself up slowly after wards.

Before Daisy did anything, River felt her muscles getting really tired. She could hardly even do one pull up, and if it wasn't for her legs helping her up the side of the building, she'd never be able to pull herself up. Her legs felt fine, but her arms were getting tired from supporting her weight on occasional jumps for the ledges...

Watching River, Daisy got angry at the fact that River was showing her off, and shouted angrily, "Whatever!" she yelled, upset that River was actually better than her, as no one ever was, until now.

She turned and went for another building, hoping onto that instead of the one River was one, and appeared to be running away...

River sighed, sitting down on the ledge and taking a breather. "Hey! Come on, how are you supposed to learn if you run away instead of trying?" She called out after Daisy, watching the woman turn tail below her.

Stopping only for a second, Daisy turned to River, and cupped her hands around her mouth, so as to help direct the distance of sound towards the red head, "You only wanted me to come so you could make fun of me!" she accused River, "I'm telling Regina you were mean to me!!!" she threatened, sounding very upset as she did.

With that threat, Daisy stormed away, back towards the direction of the prison, hopping from building to building.

River let out a sigh, giving her sore arms a stretch before hopping back down and starting off after Daisy. The woman had too much of a headstart for River to catch easily, so she settled for trying to keep her in sight while she called Regina over the radio. "Regina, you there? I think I've gone and pissed Daisy off."

The little blond was moving fast, and when River saw her look back, she could barely catch what appeared to be a snarl. Daisy, instead of jumping to another building, decided she'd lose River's trail if she went out of her territory, and dropped down into a nearby alleyway, out of River's sight.

A moment after River called, Regina seemed to have been at the end of a laugh, as she must have been with other people at the moment, and was answering River in the middle of a conversation, "Hm, why?" she asked, actually still sounding in a good mood, the news River bringing not surprising her, "What's she mad about this time?" she asked River in a lame tone, as if she's heard it a thousand times.

"I think I hit her apparent superiority complex a little too hard, and she's officially dropped off the rooftops into monster territory. I don't suppose you could talk to her, she brought her own radio, right?" River said, catching up to where Daisy had disappeared from sight and stopping for a couple seconds to check the scene before speeding down after her.

[Mamono Assault Force]

Regina only laughed, not bothered by River's mention of Daisy being in danger, "Ha, ha, ha!" she laughed, "Don't worry about her, she's even faster than those dog lookin' things that are walkin' around. You probably won't be able to catch her now, so just stay on those rooftops and watch out for monsters in the air," she warned River. Part of what she said was true, as when she arrived at where Daisy had gone, the little blond girl was long gone, and after River observed the area before dropping down, she caught sight of many tentacles sticking out of the sewers, apparently looking for something, and not finding it.

Daisy must have ran past them when they heard her little footsteps, and emerged to attempt to capture her.

"If you're sure..." River says uneasily, staying on the rooftops and trying to parallel the way she thinks Daisy went, splitting her attention between watching for airborne creatures and watching for Daisy.

River, knowing the way to the prison, and the way Daisy ran, deducted that the little blond was running back to the prison to tell on her, angry that River upstaged her.

During the now very tiring trip back to the prison, (Stamina status: Orange), River passed many creatures lurking about on the ground, some even looking up at her as she flew over them, and others on the wrong building, making failed attempts to jump over to her from building to building, until she reached, with heavy breaths being caught upon arrival, at the Prison. Based on the fact that she never saw Daisy, she could only assume the blond reached here before she did, besides other things...

However, her suspicions were put to rest at the activation of her radio, which she heard Regina from, "River, you there?" she asked, and after confirmation, continued, "Look, Daisy's really angry that I'm not gonna... Get mad at ya, or something, so I'm sorry if I can't welcome ya right off the spot. I've got to calm her down before she starts throwing a fit again, breaking things..." she said with worry.

"Come on in, if you'd like. Oh!-" she started, and said with haste, as if remembering something, "Emilia said she'd want to talk to someone from the Inn about something, could ya kindly pay her a visit, and talk with her? See what she wants? Thanks!" she thanked River without waiting for her to confirm whether or not she'd do it, seeming to be in a hurry to get to Daisy.

River was standing on the very first building she and Daisy stood on for the day, looking over the prison...

River sat on the edge of the building while she listened to Regina, giving the odd affirmative as she used some of her unruly hair to mop the sweat from her brow. "Yeah, I can do that, see you a bit later then." She replied, not expecting an answer, and she picked herself up and went down the fire escape of the building, and over to the doors of the prison itself.

After turning in her weapons again and getting some directions, she strode down to Emilia's room, knocking on the door lightly.

As River was welcomed in by the brown haired girl who let her in after seeing her from the camera, she politely smiled and nodded at River, promising to take good care of her things, and even fix whatever was damaged, before she left for Emilia's office, passing through the pleasant yard, where the grass was green, and well kept, and various women, friends or lovers, River couldn't tell, but they were just as friendly as she remembered. A pair even waved to her as she passed by them, even though they didn't seem to know her, before resuming whatever they were talking about.

After River reached the double doorway labeled, "Emilia's office," and passing through the hallways, going by several doors, some of which she heard the sounds of sex from, she eventually reached a total quiet part of the whole complex, while at the same time, finding herself standing in front of Emilia's door.

The woman's door window, blurred greatly so that you couldn't even barely see anything on the other side, had very... Strange, but beautiful artistic drawings all over it. The woman had gone so far as even to paint vines along the edges of the wooden door. One thing was for sure, this Emilia was quite the artistic woman.

After knocking on the door, River heard a faint, "Just a minute!" from the other side. From the lighting of the window the woman had in her room, River could see vauge movements on the other side, and could make out a woman's movements on the other side. She seemed to be fussing with her hair, then disappearing for a moment to wash her hands, as River heard water going through the pipes shortly after, before she saw the woman walk up to the door, and open it widely, with an inviting, and pleasant grin on her face.

Emilia's hair was a very dark color of black, and it was very long, past her waist, and it shined beautifully under every light around her. All of it was pushed back, so that every length of the beautiful hair went down her back, covering her ears with her thick hair. Her eyes were a piercing blue, and as they looked at River, no matter what she thought, she could almost feel those eyes going right through her, sending delightful shivers across her body. Combined with her pink, pretty smile, her beautiful black hair, piercing blue eyes, and a very artistic dress, with a v line on the side, showing off her left, healthy looking leg, River knew, without a doubt, that this was a very beautiful woman she was looking at, and seemed equally sweet.

With a bright smile, Emilia greeted River, "Hello," her voice rang of kindness, softly, and with care, "I'm Emilia, is there something I can help you with?"

River answered slowly, something about Emilia putting her ill at ease, though she was at a loss to figure out what. "Hi, I'm River. Regina told me you were looking to talk to someone from the Inn?"

Emilia gave a polite, slow, and graceful bow to River at her introduction, and smiled happily at the mention that she was from the Inn. Emilia moved herself out of the way of the door, while inviting River into her beautiful, yet strange room, "Oh, wonderful!" she announced with glee, "Please, won't you come in, River? Unless you don't have the time, I'd love to talk with you about what everyone at the Inn is like!"

With Emilia out of the way, River could see into Emilia's room. Without a doubt, the woman seemed to be in love with the color blue. Her walls seemed recently painted blue, with artistic vine-like drawings along every inch of her room along the sea of blue paint, the vines themselves a lighter shade of green, and seemed to envelop the whole of her sanctuary. Rather than entrapped by the vines, the room had the odd feeling that the vines were protecting you...

Other than her noteworthy walls, there were simple, yet ever lastingly beautiful Roses placed along the nightstands on both sides of her bed, located in the center of the room, the head board against the wall opposite the way River would come in, and looked very inviting, as if River could just lay down on it like a cloud, and put her fears and woes to rest.

The room was fairly large, and had a whole assortment of other things around to suite every creature comfort one might have. There was a stove, with a small pot on it, filled with water, and seemed turned on, with a box of tea nearby, ready to be prepared. There was a small, round table, with two comfy looking chairs one could just slouch, and lay back in, and have a polite, comfortable, one-on-one conversation with the person you were talking to, the cloth over the cushioning was also tinted blue, and blue, plastic oval pieces were sown in a very unique pattern along the arm rests of the chairs, shining in the light, almost like sapphires.

And lastly, besides a normal looking TV, was a large canvas, with a picture on top of it, a work in progress, from River's view. What was done, was a large dragon, Grey in color, with dark green eyes, emerging from the middle of the ocean during a storm, and was looking directly at you, almost as if coming straight towards you. The picture itself seemed to be trying to capture the magnificence of both a stormy night in the open sea, and the majesty of a dragon at the same time...

River walks in slowly, taking in the room itself, with a surprised expression. "Wow, you're some artist." She said appreciatively, "And yeah, I've got plenty of time. What do you want to know?"

Emilia raises a finger before getting to business, "Before we get to that, please, make yourself at home," she asked River politely, walking over to one of the blue, comfortable looking chairs, and drawing it out in silent offer for River to take a seat, the looks of it was of a velvet material, meant to make the user feel as if she was on a cloud, "Would you like some tea?" she offered, apparently determined to make her guest feel welcome before anything else.

"Um, yeah, sure." River says slowly as she settles into the offered chair. After so long perching on rooftops, the chair feels both incredibly comfortable and highly disconcerting, so she settles with planting herself on the very edge and leaning forward some.

Emilia casts a worried glance at River's method of relaxing, and even thinks she's doing something wrong, that she's not being nice enough to her guest, and tries to tell herself she's just being nervous and making things up again.

As she walks over to the pot filled with water, now boiling, she opens up a cabinet and takes a pair of mugs forth from them, just big enough for a large cup of tea. She puts two tea bags each in the cups, and pours the scalding hot water into them, letting the flavor from the bags mix in fairly well, before asking River as she adds sugar to her own cup, "How many lumps of sugar would you like?"

River took a quick look at the size of the cup, and answered with a hint of a smile. "Three, please, thanks."

Emilia gave a polite nod, and plopped three sugar cubes into one of the cups. She then reached down, and pulled a drawer open. The sound of silverware rung through the air as she did so, right before she pulled two spoons forth from it, and proceeded to mix box cups with their repective spoons for a moment, before letting them go, and taking the mugs by the handles. She walked slowly, and carefully with the tea, with a pleasant smile on her face, and politely placed River's tea in front of her. The spoon was still inside of it, but she removed the bag right before adding the sugar.

She took a seat opposite River, and laid back in the chair appropiately, enjoying the feel of it on her back. Her bottom was all the way in, so that she could stay mostly straight, while she took a tiny sip of her hot tea, and slowly set the mug back no the table with a smile, "River... Such a beautiful name," she admired her, smiling at River.

"Thanks, Emilia has a nice ring to it as well, almost musical." River compliments back, sipping her tea but keeping it in her hands, warming them. She seemed fairly content to stay on pleasantries as well, starting to feel comfortable in the room, even sliding back in the chair some.

Emilia giggled a little, seeming flattered by River's compliment, "Hm, Thank you," she said with an even brighter smile. She tapped a finger nail on her mug for a moment, before taking another sip, while looking at River over it, "You know, people do say I'm very talented at singing, and I sometimes gather everyone in the courtyard at night, and sing to them. The guards on the towers compliment, and thank me for my singing, they say my voice makes them feel happy, and yet sad at the same time..." she tells River, all while looking at her own reflection in the tea, blinking at it a little after she was done talking, "Sometimes, I hate to think I make them feel sad... I'd like to think my songs only make them feel happy..."

River nods slowly, taking another sip of her tea. "Music comes from the soul. If your soul is sad about something, it projects that into your music." She says slowly, almost apologetically.

Emilia seemed to have been struck by River's words, a look of concern and a little sadness appears on her face as she draws her tea to her mouth slowly, and takes a slow sip, not appearing to be looking at anything in particular, just staring off into some inner void in her soul for a moment, before replying sadly, "I believe you are right... River..." she said slowly. Taking another sip, Emilia appeared to be in deep thought...

River just sits there and waits, finishing her cup of tea and setting it on the table before saying anything. "Wanna talk about it?" She asks finally.

Emilia takes another sip, and politely, and with grace, even for such a simple thing, shakes her head, drawing herself from her void of thought, "You're sweet..." she compliments River, "But, it'd be very rude of me." she adds, as she turns her head to look at River apologetically, "
I'm sorry... My head tends to wonder into the clouds at times."

River just smiled. "No worries, I do that as well. On to business then?"

Emilia nodded, and took a mouthful of the sweet tea, before setting it down on the table, and adjusting herself in her chair, so that she appeared to be a sweet, yet powerful Queen, in silent agreement with River to get on with why she was here, even though the woman did enjoy River's company, "Yes... I concur..." she nodded slowly, "You see... I'm lead to believe that there is... shaky trust between individuals both within your Inn, and my own sanctuary..." she blinked a few times, "And... As Regina has told me, you're a resident of this Inn... I want to know... How would the people in the Inn, interact with the peace loving people here?" Emilia looks away from River, "Regina tells me you are aware of our dark secret... And I was wondering... How would the other people react to that discovery...?"

"Quite frankly, I think they'd freak out, for the most part." River explained. "I've kept it mostly to myself, but with the exception of our resident sex addict, everyone I told was instantly distrustful. As for the shaky trust, the only one that pops to mind would be our resident rooftop sniper, David. Apparently, Regina, Daisy, and one other came across him in the mall, tried to rape him, and stole most of his supplies, though I've been told that was mostly Daisy's fault." She explained, leaning forward a bit.

Emilia seemed to cringe when she heard Daisy's name, as a lot of people did who knew her. She seemed to be the girl who caused trouble wherever she went.

Emilia went back in her seat, and let out a stressed sigh, seeming to forget about her tea for a moment, "Damn it... Daisy..." she whispered, "Why can't she just show some self control for once in her life?" she looked back to River with a tilted head, "I asked them to check the mall for supplies... And as always... Check for survivors... But, as always... Daisy never listens..." she sighed, "Regina tells me they had already looted a great many amount of supplies before the man... David? Found them. And before Regina could even try to make peace out of the situation-yes, I'm sure you know, she chose to act a fool..."

River nodded. "Yeah, sounds about right. I just don't get why everyone is so uptight about it." She says, referring to their 'dark secret'. "I mean, I don't have a clue how it all works, but that doesn't really matter, does it? The way everyone's been acting makes me think that its almost another form of racism, really."

Emilia blinked a few times, before taking another sip of her tea, and realized while she was idling with it, she drank about half of her glass already, "River..." she began, trying to help River understand that, the people who knew how it works had a good reason to distrust their kind, "If... You were made a victim from our... Habits... I think you'd share those views..." she informed River in a grim tone.

"Probably." River admitted. "But how many people at the Inn have been? I think if anyone had, it would have gotten out pretty quickly, but I haven't heard anything about it, at all. It sounds to me like being afraid to go outside because there might be someone there waiting to shoot you, it just doesn't make any sense to me." She says, leaning back in her chair.

Emilia's head sunk, and she appeared to be very guilty over something, "River... In a way..." she tried to find the words to say it, but she seemed to have obvious difficulty, "... We are not human... We work in a very similar way to the monsters that roam the city... That is why so many people distrust us..." she said slowly, leaning forward in her chair, and drinking more tea as if it would help her relax.

[Shrike7]

"What do you mean?" River asked nonchalantly. "I've spent a night in the same bed as Regina, if she were more monster than human, she would have tried to rape me, but she didn't. If I thought any of you were monsters, I wouldn't be here."

[Mamono Assault Force]

Emilia tilted her head, regarding River's words, "Well... That's not to say we aren't capable of rational thought... But, should our lust not be satisfied, we tend to... Lose that rational thought very quickly..." Emilia tried to word it so River would understand, "... I don't even trust myself at times... So, I'm aware that wanting some of the people at your Inn to trust us would be silly..."

Emilia's shame become more apparent, as she lowered her head as to avoid looking at her, "If Regina... Or myself... Do not lay with women periodically... We lose that which makes us seem human to you..." her eyes look up at River in a way that suggested she had committed a great crime, "We are very much cousins to those monsters outside... River..."

River shrugs. "Until proven otherwise, I feel perfectly safe within these walls Emilia, and if you all have things under well enough control, as it all seems to be, then I don't see why anyone else should have a problem either. Granted, there have been a few like David who have had it proven to them, but I feel perfectly fine here, so put yourself at ease." She says reassuringly, looking Emilia right in the eyes to prove her sincerity.

Emilia gave a sigh, "The poor woman just doesn't understand the dangers of our kind..." She was at a loss to figure out a way to confer upon River, the reason why she shouldn't feel perfectly safe, while not just simply attacking her with her unique sexuality.

After talking of so much, she was at the end of her rope. The red haired woman was unbelievably trusting, she had only met Regina, who was the most polite... Changed... Woman she knows, but she has as of yet to meet some of the darker residents.

As she remained silent for an even longer time, taking short sips at her tea until it was gone, she stared away from River for a long time, just thinking, before she finally spoke up in a lame tone, "River... I suppose there's only one true way for you to understand what we are... And what we're capable of..."

Emilia's eyes suddenly went from calm, and sweet, to predatory, and lustful, "River... You are a very handsome woman... And even as I try to act polite to you, the other, darker side of me beckons for your body to be at my mercy... If I did not sleep with another before our meeting... I would have already made an attempt at your love..." Emilia sighed, and rested her head back in her chair, "Regina said you were not keen on the idea of sleeping with one of us, so I won't be so rude as to reach for what I cannot touch, but do take care to note, that each and every one of us will lust for your body, even if only for a second, and we may even make an attempt to take your body by force..." Emilia's eyes started to glow a little, suggesting that she was an inspired, one of the people that were talked about during some of her conversations with the locals at the Inn. And when she looked into Emilia's eyes, she saw herself, being raped horribly by the very women she claimed to trust... Emilia being one of the women raping her...

The vision stopped, and River realized she was just staring blankly at Emilia, returning from a dream she didn't know she entered. Emilia returned to her look of shame, and released her gaze from River's face, looking away from her, "Please understand... When you are around us... Do not believe that you will not be harmed in any way..." she shook her head, "I would never consciously do such a horrible act of rape in my life, but, once I lose my option of choice to the hunger... I no longer have the luxury of being polite... Please understand..." she begged River, unaware that Emilia herself was more distraught and scared about her condition than River was.

River just stares, speechless, for a long moment, the images running through her mind over and over. Finally, she blinks a couple times and shakes her head to rid herself of the images, and speaks. "...I, uh... been jumped a couple times, growing up, I never really relax all the way... And it's not cause of your, um... Extras, I just don't... Sleep around, you know?..." She stutters out, visibly shaken.

Emilia took a deep breath, and adjusted her dress in place, trying to summon a soothing smile to douse the uncomfortable feeling in the room, "Oh... I'm sorry to have done that..." she apologized, "I just wanted you to understand... To understand what we are... And what we do..." her eyes turned away, "In hopes that my advice and information might help protect you... I never meant to fluster you so with those horrible visions, I'm sorry..." she apologized profusely.

"Don't worry about it, I'm fine, they were just so... Vivid..." River says slowly, shaking her head again and regaining some of her composure. "So, uh... What now? Is there anything else you needed to see me about?"

"Well..." she began, resting her head on her hand, "Asides from asking you how your friends would react to our little secret... I also wanted the company..." a faint smile appears on her face, "It's gets very quiet all the way over hear, and just talking with a new person is always exciting, I think..."

Both she and River take a breath in, and smell the scent of delicious food in the air, and Emilia gets up from her chair, and stretches a bit, "Oh, but I am hungry," she reached her hand out to River to assist her getting up, and then walking, holding hands, to the cafeteria, where their best chef was on duty, "If you'll have me, would you like to have lunch?" she asked River with an inviting smile, her blues eyes calmly looking at River with no expectations. She seemed ready for River to tell her outright, "No."

River looked up at Emilia with a wry smile. She enjoyed breaking expectations...

"Sure, I'm pretty hungry myself." She says, taking the offered hand up, though she let go again to walk to the cafeteria.

With both her hands free, Emilia folded them in front of her in an innocent manner, as she opened the door for River, and walked with her, following the wonderful scent all the way to the cafeteria.

Walking along the sidewalks to the lunch room, Emilia was showered with greetings from nearly everyone except for those too far away to be noticed. It got so crazy, that some of the women around the prison appeared ready to trample each other just to get Emilia's attention. Emilia tried to calm the large amount of women down, and immediately shushed any suggestion that River and her were in a relationship, knowing full well that the woman wasn't interested in her that way, and just wanted to nourish their friendship by eating together.

After the craze died, and the two women could actually pass through the mass of women wanting Emilia to recognize them, they were starting to reach the door of the cafeteria when Emilia let out a heaving sigh, "They give me too much credit... I don't even do anything around here..." she discredited herself, glad to be away from the rush of people.

"Well, you must be doing something right." River says with a chuckle, pointedly ignoring any comment as they passed related to the pair being in a relationship. She actually did her best to not be noticed by the crowd at all, big crowds made her uncomfortable, but that hardly worked. She managed to loosen up some once they were through the worst of it, however.

Emilia went silent, and lowered her head a little at River's words. She didn't seem to believe them herself.

They reached the double doors, and Emilia opened the left for River, letting her in first, and after they both went inside, it was quite different this time around, rather than when River came in with Regina. All of the women, or half women, as it were, saw Emilia, they immediately made way for her, even going as far as inviting her to pass them. Not a soul that River saw was not kind to Emilia, it seemed that everyone loved her, and even respected her greatly.

No one tried to stop River either, after seeing that she was with Emilia, they just as eagerly invited the stranger to pass...

Emilia was blushing heavily at all the invitations, "I don't know why they do this every time..." she whispered to River after all of the invitations were thrust upon her, "I really don't deserve this... There are women who work so much harder to make this place safe and comfortable..." she claims shamefully.

"Well," River says, stopping Emilia before they get too deep into the line, "I find the most effective way to convince someone of something is to not give them a choice in the matter. I say we wait in line like everyone else, and tell people that if you eating is so important to them, they can speed it up by stopping their offers and dishing themselves out first, hmm?" She says, a smile on her face.

Emilia blinked at River, and did as she said to do, trying to show some determination, and stand in line. However, the people in the line didn't stand for this, and River found Emilia suddenly being pulled by her hand away from her, each of the women in the line insisting rather forcibly that she go ahead of them.

"Hey!" River says in an irritated tone of voice, drawing the attention of the ones pulling Emilia around. "What does Emilia want more, to get her food in a hurry, to to be shoved to the front of the line like some special needs kid? Or to be normal, and wait like everyone else? If you really care about her, stop making her feel so embarassed and leave her be, huh? If you really want her to get her food so fast, turn around and make the line go faster, instead of standing here making someone you claim to care about feel uncomfortable!" She says sternly, giving Emilia a look and a wink that tells her to agree so they'll turn back around.

The women in the line appeared not too happy to have a stranger like River tell them what to do, and River found herself quickly outnumbered by the angry faces of women, and possibly half women looking at her. However, Emilia appeared to have lost their attention for a time, and quickly was working her way back to River in a hurry.

The women of the line mostly shouted dismissing remarks about River's business, as well as a few of them shouting threats about kicking River out. They seemed about to converge on River, until Emilia reached her, shoving her way through the crowd, and quickly stood right next to her, and threw a protective arm around River's shoulder, thinking that the women would backoff if Emilia was attached to River, "P-Please..." she begged, her voice shaky and scared, "Don't fight... I can wait in line..." her eyes darted nervously across the mass of slowly relaxing people, "Please don't fight over this... She's just... New here... Please don't upset our guests..."

The women in the line seemed to heed Emilia's words, and obeyed when she pleaded that they stop. After River got what she wanted, and the two of them were standing in line, Emilia let out a deep breath she must have been holding in, still holding onto River's shoulder, feeling the need to protect her, "Please don't start a fight..." she pleaded with River, "Almost everyone here is friendly, and kind, but they tend to be overprotective... And unforgiving..."

River made no moves during the time the others were surrounding her, though she kept her eyes open to get out of the way of anything incoming. Once Emilia caught up and defused the situation, she let out a held breath and relaxed somewhat. 'Wow, it would seem a lot of people here lost their ears that night. I wasn't trying to start a fight Emilia, don't worry, but a fair amount of these women need some introspection and apparently don't like being told so by a stranger." She says, letting out a sigh. "At least they aren't pulling you around anymore, right?"

Emilia gave River a affectionate look, and lifted her other hand so that both of her hands were on River's shoulders, holding her like a dear friend, even though they hardly spent a day together, "River... I'd prefer that, rather than seeing you get hurt..." she told her, as if she was truly worried for River's safety. Right as she finished talking, they had already reached their turn in line. The chef placed a pre-made tray of food on top of the sneeze guard, just for her. The food on it suggested Emilia was a vegetarian, as there was nothing but fruits and vegetables on it, which is likely what led to her fine figure, which anyone could see that her tight fitting dress reveals.

The trail of food was long, though it seemed like mostly American food was available, salads, hamburgers, pizza, Roast beef, baked potatos, anything one could grab from stores or from fast food restaurants was available to River to pick from...

"Bah, I've had my share of welts and bruises, and I'm quite proficient at getting out of the way in any case." River said, though it was fairly obvious she appreciated the gesture. Grabbing a tray, she loaded up on beef, potatoes, some raw veggies, and a few other things that sit heavy in your stomach. Today was the first since all this happened that she had spent a full day Running, and she was hungry. After she dished herself out, she took a look around the crowded place, finding a few spare seats off to the one side and walking over to them, trying to ignore the inevitable offered tables that she would suspect Emilia was going to get.

River was surprised to find that hardly any offers were given to Emilia. Most found it appropriate to wave to her, and say hello, and to ask her how she was feeling, and how her latest painting was going. River ended up getting separated from Emilia, who was forced to stop, and talk with the people wanting to chat with her. She could hardly take another step, before someone else was saying, "Hey, Emilia!" She gave occasional glance at River, as if she was pleading for assistance...

River just sighed, and walked back over to where Emilia was, slowly working her way through the small group. "Hey, come on, just sit back and let her eat." She asks the woman currently talking to Emilia, in an exasperated tone of voice.

After being let go, Emilia quickly followed River over to the spot she had found for them, and let out a sigh as she sat down, "You know... I feel like that's my punishment for not doing anything around here but paint..." she said in self punishment, playing with her salad for a minute, before taking a bite.

River chuckled a little bit, starting on her food. "Then go out and do something, if you feel like you aren't being productive. Even if a couple other girls get sent out with you, you're still helping the group as a whole, right?" She says, looking around the cafeteria with a half interested look as she does so.

[Mamono Assault Force]

Emilia went silent for a time, and spent a little too long chewing on one particular item in her mouth, musing over her thoughts, before remembering herself, and swallowing it, "Not even to say they'd let me out... I'm no fighter... I'd only be more of a handicap because they'd have to protect me the whole way..." she played with her food a little, "And don't even talk about doing anything in the prison, they'd kill before they'd see me doing something like wash a dish, mow the lawn, or sweep the floors..." Emilia sighed, deciding to finally take a bite of her salad.

River shrugged, taking a forkful of mashed potato before answering. "Mmm, just do it anyways. You have to stand up and take charge, or you'll just start feeling worse and worse about it. If they don't like it, tough."

[Mamono Assault Force]

Emilia shakes her head, and swallows her food, "They're always so nice to me... I wouldn't want to hurt their feelings by refusing their hospitality..." she told River, before taking another bite, nearly finished with her food.

[Shrike7]

River shakes her head, sounding deathly serious. "It's true, you might hurt their feelings a little, but it needs to be done. If we are going to fix all this, we need everybody, everybody helping out the best they can. And the longer it takes, the less chance we have of succeeding. The sooner everyone realizes that, the sooner we can ignore the petty differences like yours, Regina's, and whoever else's 'problem' and start making sure we have a way to end this." She says evenly, looking Emilia right in the eyes.

Emilia shook her head, "I don't think you quite understand, the women here fighting to protect us inside the place are constantly working tirelessly to both make our lives comfortable, and safe. I'd never be so disrespectful to deny their wishes after they've already done so much for not only me, but all of us here." Emilia sighed, and made a referencing gesture to her "unnatural anatomy," "We will always have this problem, and it will likely rule us for the rest of our lives. The only way we can end this, is if your kind accepts what we are, and lives peacefully with us. Most of us didn't choose to be what we are, it just happened..."

Emilia looked River back into her eyes, "River, our kind can be considered to be not even human. Like the monsters, we're eventually forced to have sex with women like you. We don't have a choice... This is not something we can ignore, it is something we must address..." Emilia sighed, "I'm not being crass, River, I'm just trying to tell you that this is not something we can just ignore, and pretend never happened... Before you can ever truly understand, you would have to lay with one of us... Which is something I know most of you at that Inn would not do."

After taking another bite, Emilia gestured to the dozens of women in the prison, "Most of the people here are women, just like you, not like me. Many of whom have lain with one of us, myself included. Unless you could say that, you would willingly make love to one of our kind if the monster-like lust was about to take us over... I don't think that there will be peace between us..." Emilia, after finishing her speech, didn't take another bite of her food. She only stared at it...

River shook her head a little, taking a bite of beef before she spoke again. "That's not what I meant. It isn't that," She says, gesturing to the appropriate area on Emilia with her fork (It has the right curve to it), "That we need to work to get rid of, I'm pretty sure that yes, it is permanent, and even if it wasn't, with nearly all the men gone, we need it to continue as a race, quite frankly. If it works properly anyways, do we know? Doesn't matter, it's all those mindless things out there that we need to get rid of, and the longer we wait, the more of them there are going to be."

She pauses again to eat a bit more. "And as for the whole acceptance thing, I think that's more of a problem with people in general, fear of the unknown and all that. I for one am perfectly accepting of what you have down there, though I choose not to lay with any of you because I don't just sleep around, as a general rule. Last night was... gods, probably the fourth time I've had sex in nearly two years, since Cal and I broke up. You know wha... Wait a second, did you mean to say that there's a choice involved with growing that? What do you mean?" She asks, confused.

Emilia seemed embarrassed and disheartened at River's misunderstanding, "River... I don't think you'll ever truly understand our curse..." Emilia took a napkin, and patted her face clean with it, before standing up from the table, "Thank you River... But, if the people at the Inn carry a similar mindset as you, our worlds cannot, and should not exist together... I'm sorry... I know your heart is in the right place, but it's the very thing that you're not willing to give that would not only make your stay uncomfortable, but dangerous... I'd ask you to understand once more... But, given your disposition on the matter... I'll not ask you to do that, because of your general rule." the way she worded that sounded as if Emilia took offense to it, or at least is basing her argument on it, "Please... Before one of our kind here tries to take what your general rule will not allow, return to your people at the Inn... I'm sure they share your mindset..."

Emilia turned from River, not appearing offended so much, as she was now appearing to have her hopes crushed, "I should have known... I don't need to wonder if others at that place are like her... For not only ours, but her people's safety as well, we must not mingle with their kind..." Emilia sighed, "General Rule... How foolish I was to believe her... I should have known that Amy girl only wanted our resources..." Emilia then cringed at the next thought in her mind, after this war with these creatures was over, she imagined River standing over her, with her blade in her gut, "Regina always said I trust too easily... And with as much as that girl spoke of killing... Oh god... Would she even hesitate to kill me? A mindless monster...?"

"Actually," River says, getting up as well, chagrin evident in her voice. "I can only think of one other person who more or less shares my views on the matter. Pretty much everyone else seems to think with their crotch more than anything else. Jesse, our shopkeep, seemed almost enamored with the prospect of meeting some of you." She chuckles a bit and walks around the table, placing a hand on Emilia's shoulder, almost as a comforting gesture.

"And it's a general rule, and not a hard and fast one, for a reason, you know. To save someone's life or something, I wouldn't even hesitate, its the idea of sex as recreation that I'm opposed to. I'm just... Traditional, like that, you know? And to hell with dangerous, I grew up in the slums and leap buildings for a living, I'm not afraid of a few women, alright? I learned a long time ago how to handle myself, you don't have to worry about me, alright?"

Emilia showed a reaction when River mentioned Jesse, as if she knew her as well, "Yes... I know Jesse... Quite a special woman, she is..." Then, after listening to the rest of River's words, Emilia decided not to end her time with River, in favor of one more thing she wanted to see, to put River's claims to the test...

Emilia put her hand on River's as it rested on her shoulder, and turned to her, "River... I don't think you know exactly what to be afraid of..." she then took a step closer to River, wrapping her arms around River's back, and pulling River slightly, but gently, into her own body, so that her lips weren't far from River's. River had caught Emilia's unknown, yet delightful smell strongly after being so close to her. She had a wonderful scent about her, that almost had River relate Emilia to the scent of a beautiful flower...

Emilia did nothing more than embrace River in that suggestive way, that mostly only people who were attracted to each other would do, hoping that was all she had to do to get her point across to River, "I won't lie, River..." she whispered, almost passionately, not having to raise her voice, "I think you are very attractive..."

Despite her words, she was thinking something else in her mind, "I don't believe you're committed to peace, River." she thought, while still making sure her eyes were locked onto River's, even if they weren't looking back, "This is what we are... And this is what you have to fear..." she said aloud, while holding River in the same sexually suggestive manner.

River tenses some, but holds her ground. She meets Emilia's eyes evenly as the woman speaks, her expression torn as the woman speaks to her. When she finishes, River sighs and leans forward, touching foreheads while still meeting her gaze. "Emilia, I will never fear you, or anyone else in this place. I'm cautious around everyone, but that's a habit from long before any of this happened." She explains cautiously, waiting for a response.

Emilia's resolve seemed shaken when River touched her forehead with her own, blinking and blushing a little, before trying to reinforce her already shaking determination, "R-River... You know what I am! You know what I could do to you, at any time... You have every right to fear me!" she noticed her grip on River loosened a bit, but remembered herself, and returned to her original posture, holding River close, and pressing their bodies together.

"But I also know that you're still Human, as well. I know that you'd fight your nature if you had to, which makes you a better human than a lot of people I've seen." She says earnestly, before chuckling a little. "As for 'what you could do to me, at any time', I think I'd surprise you a little. Even those monsters outside haven't been so lucky yet." She says, cracking a smile to ligthen the mood a little.

Emilia went silent for a few seconds, actually losing her look into River's eyes, before a smile of her own stretched across her face, and a hand on River's back trailed down, and pinched her bottom, smiling a bit more as she did so, "I think I could surprise you a little as well..."

River just chuckled a little, breaking the embrace. "You probably would." She says with a smile, turning around and gathering their trays to clean up the table. "So, what now?" She asked as she worked.

While Emilia interrupted River's attempt to take her tray, preferring to get it herself, she sighed at River's question, "Now... And I hate to say this... But..." she looked sad, but determined with some currently unvoiced decision, "River... The last thing I want is to jeopardize the safety of everyone here, and... Even though you're able to ignore our uncomfortable truth, I imagine others might not be able to... Overlook the fact..."

River nods, letting emilia handle her dishes without complaint. "I see where you're coming from. How many troubles like that have you had here, with the people you've saved?" She asks. Certain influences in the Inn aside, they must have had people with a problem with it before, just from sheer numbers...

Emilia stopped for a second, dead in her tracks, before continuing her walk silently, and placing all of their dishes on the counter for the many women doing dishes to clean before turning to River with a grim expression, "... I suppose... I can show you... And maybe... That will convince you." She seemed to think for a moment, a hand resting on her chin, before deciding, "There is a certain part of this Prison, you do not know about... That is where the women who... Well... Would not coexist with us go..." she shook her head, "But, believe me, to this day, I wish we could let them go, and stop holding them in those cells like wild animals... But... Just like how I'm sure the women at your Inn are... They either want to kill our kind... Or just run out of the Prison, in fear of us..." Emilia seemed sad, and distraught by the thought, before asking River without looking at her, "... And... If it's not too much to ask... I'd like for you to take them, and bring them to your Inn... It breaks my heart to know that they're suffering in those cursed cages..."

If River wasn't aleady putting her dishes down, she would have dropped them. Her hands shook ever so slightly and she watched them for a second, before putting them palms down on the counter, her mind reeling.

"H-how many?" She asked darkly, not looking anywhere but her hands.

Emilia wasn't surprised at River's reaction, and responded to her question, "I specifically ordered they not be raped... Originally, there were over a dozen women that reacted... Harshly... To our condition, and we left them alone in those cells... And, after a while, they eventually realized we were not their enemy, and swore they wouldn't try to run away, out into the dangerous city, or even kill us... Some of those women are in this cafeteria right now, happily making friends, and living among us..." then, her tone went as dark as River's, "But... There are those certain women... Who are absolutely obsessed with the idea that we're monsters... We really have no choice but to keep them locked up... We don't have many other options... Short of placing them in your care at the Inn..."

"How. Many?" River asked again, closing her eyes and dipping her head. She could understand why it was done well enough, but just the though of being stuck in an eight by eight cell for any length of time made her want to scream. No room to Run, no room to live...

Emilia sighed, "I don't know, exactly... I never go down there..." she sighed in frustration, "None of us like keeping them in there... But what else would you have us do? They either want to up and run wildly into the city, with no other intention but to get away, or just grab anything they can, and try to kill us... That's why I'd like for you and your friends at the Inn to take them... Give them a home, other than a closed in cell..."

"No, I get why you had to do it, Emilia, it's just... It's just my own, personal brand of hell, to be cooped up like that..." River says slowly, before taking a deep breath and moving away from the dish area, to not be a roadblock. "We'll need supplies, I don't think the inn has the resources to handle a lot of people at once like that. A couple sets of your clothes each, a few days of food if you could spare it... And we'll need an escort, preferable people who were in there and changed their mind. That many women outside, and there'll be monsters everywhere... None of them like you though, just to be safe. Is all that possible?" She asked, looking pained.

Emilia shook her head slowly, "River... We never introduced those women to weaponry... All of your kind that live here, we keep them safe... It's bad enough they have to suffer from our desires, but I wouldn't allow any of them to take up arms... The only women here trained for combat... Are women like me..." she looks away from River, "... I'm sorry..."

"You mean there isn't a single full woman here that has wanted to help out outside the safe area?" River asks incredulously. "Alright, we can still make that work, I'm just worried that they'll try to mob the escort you give us if they found out. Do they know what you've just told me?" She asked, her mind spinning as it tries to work out how to make it work...

Emilia frowned, "No... There are women here that are like you... But we never gave them a gun... Not after one pretended to cooperate... And shot one of us in a rage..." she put a hand to her chest, and had a look of fear in her eyes, "It was awful... Just for someone... To die like that..."

Emilia let out a sigh after looking as if she was remembering something, "I'm afraid that most of them are very paranoid at this point... They think that everyone is one of our kind... Although it might help if everyone around them proved they weren't like us, which would greatly help if you brought your own kind here to escort them, and prove that they're going far away from people like us..."

"Alright, so any that started in there is a bad idea, but any should work, I just didn't want to give them an... Anotomical reason to start mobbing. People from the inn might work, but I don't know if we have the firepower to take out the mass that would go after that many women in the street. Give me a second, I'll see..." River says, turning on her eirpeice and shifting to hers and Cal's channel. "Hey Cal, you busy? I need to have a quick chat with either Amy or Freyda."

Caliber sounded grim when he answered the radio, "River... I just talked with Amy, right before you called me... And I think you should check yourself... I think she had a bug placed on you. She was talkin' as if she knows what you've been doing..."

Cal gave a confused breath into his radio, "River, I don't know what's going on, but something was really wrong with the way she was talking to me... I can't shake this feeling that something bad is going to happen."

"Well, unless that bug has a bomb attached, the worst she can do is yell at me. I'm not afraid of her, so I wouldn't worry about it, pass her over, alright?" River says, brow furrowed a little. Even if Amy was listening in, what bad could have come from it? It's not like she was conspiring to assassinate anybody or something like that...

River used the wait time to try and remember what exactly she had been saying all day, to try and come up with a reason Amy would be angry. Not coming up with one, she simply shrugged mentally and waited.

Caliber grunted, seeming to be angry that he was out of the loop as to what was exactly going on, and after some time, he answered the radio again, "She said she wasn't going to talk... And that some chick named Emilia did something wrong, and that an agreement was void," he sighed, frustrated, "River, what the hell is going on? What agreement was she talking about? And what happened to make- HEY!" he suddenly shouted, and River suddenly heard the Director, Amy, on the other side.

"Tell Emilia that our agreement earlier today is now void, if she won't provide provisions, and resources, we won't provide man power. And if she continues to have her kind pillage areas near our Inn for resources she doesn't need, we will fire on sight." The radio suddenly clicked off after she finished, and after a few seconds, it clicked back on.

"River...?" Cal called out, "River... What the hell? Just what the hell have you been doing?" he demanded, seeming to catch on to the dire situation.

Meanwhile, Emilia was looking at River with worry, unable to hear the words on the radio, and was remaining silent, just watching her with interest.

"I don't know anything about an agreement Cal, I thought-" River says, dumbfounded, and then lets out a hiss when Amy cuts in, hurting her hearing from talking to loudly on the earpeice. Cal came back on and spoke, and she answered, her tone dark.

"Honestly Cal, I don't know. I thought I was here for one thing, but it's quickly becoming obvious that I'm being played from both sides here. I'll keep you posted." She says the phrase that tells him to listen, but not talk, and moves to turn the radio off, but just goes through the motion, leaving it on so Cal can listen in.

"So," she says, turning to Emilia with a skeptical eyebrow raised. "What's this about a conversation you and Amy had this morning?"

After Emilia heard River mention something about an agreement, Emilia seemed to take a tone that suggested she was very worried, and she looked down to the ground, "... So... It's no wonder... I figured she'd send someone... But I didn't know it'd be..." she sighed, acting as if defeated, "It's no lie... Even though there are many women here, many of them are not willing to have sex with our kind... Earlier this morning, Amy approached me, and said that if I would provide her and her... "Allies" shelter, and resources from our prison... She'd provide us with willing women for..." As if she wasn't looking away enough, Emilia made sure River wasn't even in her peripheral vision, "I... Think you know..."

She then seemed to erupt with an emotion River never truly saw until now, anger, "But, God damn it! Human beings are not commodities! I refuse to have anything to do with that woman, who would sell me slaves!"

Emilia was breathing angrily, and her facial expression screamed of bloody murder as she looked up at River from where she was leaning against the edge of the counter at the spot near the dishes, "I know we'll eventually lose control of ourselves if our lust isn't satisfied, but so long as I can make decisions as a human being, I'll never give in, I'll never steal helpless women, and rape them in no way different from those monsters outside!" she said with conviction.

She then stopped leaning against the edge, and looked at River like a Queen about to go into battle, "And I don't care how she likes it! If she wants to kill us for what we have, so be it! If she shoots, we'll shoot back!" As she shouted this announcement, several of the obvious women who were the guards taking a break gave their own shout in support, still remaining loyal to her, even as she said they might die.

After shouting that, and calming down a little, Emilia sighed, "You helped me make my decision, River, and I thank you for it. I'll make a patrol that will escort the imprisoned women far enough, so that they can make it on their own to the Inn, without jeopardizing my own people's safety. That woman won't just walk over me, and treat me like a tool for her own gain. I won't allow it."
